Oh yes there is a whole lot actually In the same country that governors like Duke, and Gbenga Daniel and the FCT minister are obviously making progress, is the same country that so many governors are still making excuses about "the past govt, " i think lagos state needs special powers/government - that place is a , seems like if you dont live in VGC,lekki and those area you are on your own! some governors just seem to attend parties and cheap award ceremoniesI have this feeling Odili will be arrested before april ![]() |
stanech:who are they? the fct minister cannot do tinubu or odilis job for them can he? Vote for the right person ![]() |

Apart from the burial arrangement and paying the staffs, they have to do a big party probably need about 4 cows and several bags of rice, everything calls for celebration in nigeria ![]() oh its normal, you will need about 1million naira, you know many people looked upto him and they will be angry because he passed away, you have to pay those people so they can carry on |
a bit confusing, this is not about crumbs, this is not even about developing the country- i think some people still have we vs them attitude Building hosipitals, sports facilities, water and the likes is not about crumbs ![]() City workers, have charity dinners football clubs and players have charity games celebrities sell off their personal items for charity in other parts of the world; do they consider it as crumbs? a little here and there goes a long way changing lives ffs attitude Someone told me once there are some greedy capitalist in nigeria that dont actually want things like these ( charity) because there are shamelessly benefitting from the state of the country |
if lippy is derogoatary, the biggy is also to some ![]() @loma how do you watch the show, can you download it from afriscat then watch it when you are ready? |
Slowly but surely, its getting there - i hope 1. Abuja is the only modern capital city without a rail network or metroline.I think its better to spend money of housing, security, environment and other forms of transportation before spending on a metroline in a city that's not suffering from terrible traffic congestion by the way its in the pipeline- one thing at a time ![]() I think abuja should have a museum and a national theatre |

Massive tax avoidance More than $150bn a year is looted from Africa through tax avoidance by giant corporations and capital flight using 'a pinstripe infrastructure' of western banks, lawyers and accountants, according to the African Union. This £75bn equivalent shortfall easily eclipses pledges made by leaders of the world's richest nations to increase aid and write off debt at the G8 summit in Gleneagles in 2005. Such is the level of capital flight, revealed in studies by the African Union, that the poverty-stricken continent is now a net creditor to the rest of the world. It is estimated that about 30 per cent of sub-Saharan Africa's annual GDP has been moved to secretive tax havens, many under the jurisdiction of the British government. As production of copper, gold, nickel and platinum soars, research from Christian Aid will show that the Tanzanian government's revenue from gold fell by nearly a third once the rise in prices has been factored in. Zambia saw revenues from copper halve. Pressure from the IMF to privatise industries on advantageous terms to mining firms is responsible for the shortfall, say campaigners: 'The myth that tax rates have to be slashed to attract overseas investment needs to be challenged,' said Anna Thomas, Christian Aid's policy manager. Meanwhile, compelling evidence from Ghana and Nigeria is emerging that pressure on these countries from the IMF and World Bank to reduce corporate taxes has forced many African countries to levy VAT on fuel, which is increasing desertification and global warming by forcing millions of people in poverty to abandon gas stoves and chop down forests for wood burning. sorry adconline i cant write in abc for you, its quite obvious you have to deal with some people to really get your reforms right, do you really think its eazy pezy to just focus on reforms when you have not oppositions but murderers/coup planners in the same society as you are its not just about managing money its also about the people dont think im an obj fan or whatever, just know that things dont happen with the click of a finger, throwing money at nepa and co wont solve the problem get detractors out of the way and getting the right people in would help. you think duke can solve the problem in 1year, you think the country can afford to use $16billion at a go to solve the problems? Atikuyou are joker! but hey lets wait and see |
cant someone just castrate this old man remove his balls and feed it to him!! ![]() maybe those ibadan people worship him or something |
poske, At the moment I don't really think anyone will buy the railway as it is- it's basically not there; plus its bloody expensive to start from scratch Its better the government do their bit to a certain level before they can think of getting investors. if it was privatisable someone would have suggested it to the team. remember the Canadians also wanted to develop it so they (the govt) can privatize itI don't see them as the investor they are contractors, the contract is for them to build and maintain they wont really be operating it, if they build and maintain it, |
thats true actually some travel agents dont update their account with the airlines or use fake credit cards go direct or check reputable ticket retailers |
globalaid do you have paypal how do you normally accept payments when you transact business |
hey i hope you get it right! amen Its very fast, convenient, and you do have to be in a queue where some dumb people keep pushing in Then you also don't have to do it at the last minute you can plan way ahead before you travel like 3months well in advance so you are quaranteed a ticket or at-least you wont have to go to the ticket office and someone telling you theres none or you have to pay bribe to get the last one You can also get it delivered to your house ![]() |
check properly, it also depends on when you are going, beware of the taxes http://www.masterfare.co.uk/ |
