PoliticsRe: Tinubu Condemn's Yar'adua! by LoverBwoy(m): 6:56pm On Mar 17, 2007
dayokanu:
It is the general consensus that Tinubu could have done better but he has 60% from people though I give him 70% think of waste management, and Lastma what particularly can Yar'Adua point to in his state that he has done you need to see the hordes of Almajiri's in Katsina and abject poverty that welcomes you to Katsina
If you cant compare Lagos to Abuja/Ogun state/Calabar then you shouldn't compare it to Katsina. The fact that you are even comparing it to a lower state says a lot.
Business has always thrived in Lagos before Tinubu he didn't add anything apart from agberu and loads of traffic agencies who even end up fighting each other over who controls what.

I give the guy 40% for just being there and raising funds internally-probably wouldnt have done that if FG didnt seize the funds.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by LoverBwoy(m): 6:33pm On Mar 17, 2007
It leaves Julio Baptista and Jeremie Aliadiere as the only options. Wenger admits that both players are fighting for their Arsenal future. Baptista’s loan spell is up in the summer and Aliadiere would have been sold in January, albeit reluctantly, had Van Persie not picked up his injury.

4play you should work for the sun, twisting words aye

So now we know someone will definitely go this summer!
TravelRe: Why Do Nigerians Love America So Much? by LoverBwoy(m): 8:33am On Mar 17, 2007
How'd they do the poll? Perhaps the only people in Nigeria with phones are ones who are members of that corrupt class?

It's like talking to Wall Street bankers about whether or not they feel the economy is doing well.
Duh.
I would venture a guess, that since their own government is known to be corrupt, they look at who is actually trying to make their country better. Because of the civil unrest in the country, the various oil companies have poured millions into the local economy- both for oil development and as philanthropy/image building. It may not be an altruistic effort, but right now US oil firms are their only source of hope.[/quote]

Yes of course we love USA, is that not where its easy to run to and live comfortably after looting Government coffers? , Where wanted Nigerians run to and get US guarantee of freedom from prosecution?
Please do keep your boarders open we are looking for where to ship all our crooks.
TravelRe: Why Do Nigerians Love America So Much? by LoverBwoy(m): 8:27am On Mar 17, 2007
oh boy i had fun reading the comments on the blog

Nigeria loves America because it's people are insanely easy to distract and therefore easier to scam. Instead of focusing on more relevant issues like the total corruption of the current administration and the shredding of basic constitutional principles, we focus on things like inconsequential polls.

"Anyone else able to explain what makes America so unusually popular there?"

Dear God! Who cares? Wouldn't it be a more useful exercise talking about why most of the rest of the world hates our guts now? Why we are about as popular as Iran and North Korea? Let's sit around and speculate why the frack Nigeria loves us. That's what is most important right now, let's get to the bottom of it.
this one is sooo funny!!
I have been approached by people from Nigeria and Ghana on the Internet for money and I had to explain that I am very very poor and they cannot get money out of me. You see I know why they love Americans because Americans believe their lies. I explain to them that I am a Puerto Rican and as such not as rich as an American. They feel so sorry for me that they have stopped asking for money, clothes, and presents after all I am from a little island they have never heard of.
Nigeria: Shell Oil. Very poor country. Only ones available to be polled owned by the Government and Shell.

Kenya: Obama. Pres. Clinton offered 20 cows and 40 goats for Chelsea. US Military. Kenyan long distant runners do very well in the NYC and Boston Marathons.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Condemn's Yar'adua! by LoverBwoy(m): 9:57pm On Mar 15, 2007
Comparing Lagos State with Cross Rivers or Abuja does not make sense based on the population as Abuja according to the last census is even less than 2 million people.
He could have done better that what he did not I won't rank him as a governor that failed when we have people like Igbinedion, Kalu etc.
comparing Tinubu with Igbinedion or kalu i think I'm safe to say doesn't make sense, he could have done A WHOLE LOT MORE! considering what Lagos state is to Nigeria AND West Africa

Security in Lagos state is probably the same or even worse since 1999
Environmental conditions in the state only improved in specific areas esp those that are populated by politicians, wealthy individuals, Big companies and so on.
Water.  .   . ?
Health.  .  . ?

one of the reason most people say nigeria hasnt changed is probably because of lagos state! imo

He was saying that in opposition to what I said about Hausa. . .Go figure.
no im not "same goes for, "

The ones I'm speaking of were not born up North, they migrated there at age 15,16,20's. . .they speak Hausa fluently!
the ones im talking about moved to lagos before they travelled out; some grew up there though.

anyway what does onyiochi mean?

Donzman:
First off, I wonder why anyone is mentioning Yoruba here. Apart from the cuss words, it's definitely not Yoruba.

Igbo is probably the hardest with the gb,kw, ny, gh, n with the stroke on top. . .Lots of complications.

Frome experience and talking with people who have transversed the nation, Hausa is the easiest by a long mile. You will not find anyone who have lived in the North for 4 years who cannot speak the language. It's very easy to learn and free flowing.
same goes for yoruba actually, all the igbo people i know can speak yoruba more than they speak igbo (they lived in lagos)
