CultureRe: Is It Proper To Call Your In-Laws 'Brother', 'Sister'? by LoverBwoy(m): 4:45pm On Mar 14, 2007
is the mother living with them or something?
she should call them brother and sister as in "take them as you brothers and sisters" or call the "uncle emeka, aunty dunni"?

If they are older fine, if they are younger she should take them as her younger brothers/sisters or tell them to bugger off!
CultureRe: What Were Yorubas Called Before The 19th Century? by LoverBwoy(m): 3:54pm On Mar 14, 2007

TravelRe: Pictures of Lagos Skyline (City-Scape) by LoverBwoy(m): 2:54pm On Mar 14, 2007
* The new high rises that are been proposed by Asian firms, will be used to house average people
what does average people mean?

* Highrise apartments are more affordable than regular lowrise structures
true but they require constant maintainance and that dont go well with nigeria.

* They don't require as much land
true but they take up too much airland cheesy you want to see beautiful skies dont you

* It beautifies the environment, and makes it a place worth visiting, thus enhancing the areas local economy and pours money, really!!
they can be an eyesore

* These structures are mostly funded by private companies, and are in the best interests of the average Nigerian.
you think so? are you being spoon fed?

dblock are you encouraged to challenge your teachers at all?
PoliticsRe: Abuja 2014 - Will This Be A Reality Or Dream? by LoverBwoy(m): 11:36am On Mar 14, 2007
dblock:
Halifax was never a challenge.

Nigerians shouldn't oppose Abuja's bid because in 20 years, the bulk of Nigerians salaries will come from Agriculture and Tourism, Oil will be non existent wink
if only they knew what the bid was lol

But when informed of the possibility of the city hosting the Commonwealth Games, a group of puzzled residents at the popular Wuse Market asked: "What is that?"
[font=Lucida Sans Unicode]It is not an understatement to say that only hundreds of people in the city are aware of the Nigerian games bid.

bbc
Even people in nigeria don't know what is going on!

BusinessRe: Muslims Reject New Naira Notes: No Arabic Inscription by LoverBwoy(m): 10:53am On Mar 14, 2007
When some of us argue that government is not living up to its responsibilities, there are others who are quick to tell us that it is not the duty of government to provide power, health care, good education but the duty of the "private sector"!
Seun  grin

For how long have we been crying about genuine fiscal federalism? But in the name of "peace" especially because it is not in the interests of the north we all pretend to ignore it while we continue to groan under the ineptitude of an unweildy and over powerful federal center for which power has become a do-or-die affair.

demmy:
What about the other arabic still on the naira? The arabic numerals. Should those be remove too?
i think they should remove those too and all the english- they should put "pidgin"  cheesy

@david
Ghana is progressing because rather than choose "peace" they chose to face their problems head on and profer tangible solutions.

Are we facing our problems head on or we are constantly pointing fingers and laying the blames on the "others"
Everybody now knows the problem with nigeria, they'll get phd for that if it was possible

when are we going to profer tangible solutions? apart from splitting up-makes sense but its not workable
BusinessRe: Obj Comissions Power Plant: Improved Electricity Supply? by LoverBwoy(m): 10:05am On Mar 14, 2007
obviously I'm not an economic guru duh!
The more the investment in a service, the more you will have to pay.  Duh!
Erm i don't think so,don't have any special term to describe it but im sure the more competitors in a sector the less one will have to pay duh!!

If there are more operators going to nigeria you think BA will still be charging the same fair as they were in 2000?

Seun sometimes you sound like an economic textbook all theory  grin

Say no to capitalism without a human face!  cool
Say no to grab-all investors/enterpreneurs  cool
BusinessRe: Obj Comissions Power Plant: Improved Electricity Supply? by LoverBwoy(m): 9:44am On Mar 14, 2007
I don't think the government should completely deregulate the power sector all in the name of seeking private investors- at least not now
the private sector in Nigeria don't have restrictions on pricing and performance.

with all the investment in the communication sector people still apparently pay through their noses for basic services
BusinessRe: Muslims Reject New Naira Notes: No Arabic Inscription by LoverBwoy(m): 9:34am On Mar 14, 2007
im not stirring things up  grin

I said the igbos and niger Delta should be on their own. meaning, each have their own country. Who wants to be with an Igbo man? They will steal ALLLLLLLLLLLLL the oil money which is about to DRY up.

the igbos don't even need your oil money!!!! they are hard working and currently they are not the ones stealing the oil money and even if they give you people all the oil in Nigeria and all the money in Nigeria, you people will remain what you are "LAZY FOLKS" and you Niger deltans can not even make a country because you hate each other coupled with distrust

If u make any futher anserous comment about the igbos again i will personally give u a thunderous slap, imagin this minority writing blah about the igbos[yes i call u a minority]
tribalism" wil never go away, people will generally attribute it to those old men but its obvious its has been passed onto the new generation

TravelRe: How Can One Make It Abroad And What Is The Probability That You Would Make If Y by LoverBwoy(m): 9:10am On Mar 14, 2007
alabiyemmy:
make it? What does that mean? An average Nigerian abroad is struggling to survive. How easy is it to "make it" when the system taxes you out of your pants and everything has to be paid for? You can live a good life surely, but I don't know about becoming a millionaire if that is what you mean by "make it".
wow i never knew things were free in nigeria grin

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by LoverBwoy(m): 11:30pm On Mar 12, 2007
Flamini is a good player just that we havent used him properly, I think he's a good CMF he's a bit defensive but thats good considering cesc fabregas is in the middle as well.

Ali blows hot and cold i don't know if he'll be useful in proper games, the only reason we'll keep him is for FA cup and theres no point keeping a player like him if he can't deliver in proper games.

Ali,Ljunberg,Senderos for sale = a quality striker preferably a no.9 a battler

Baptista hmm should he go should he stay? Reyes  lipsrsealed i don't think this dude want to see the Neville brothers anymore cheesy

I think we should get someone that can play/already playing centre back (RCB),having kolo play all the games is a bit somehow-if he suffers a burn out like henry we might just miss him too much
