bettercreature:Wow this is makes a lot of sense. OBJ may be banking on the likes of Sule Lamido of Jigawa State to reawaken the opposition PDP while GEJ is cooling off behind bars or away on exile. So 2019 looks bleak for GEJ in this very plausible scenario. |
CrazyScientist:You obviously did not get a glimpse of the passionate Lagos APC crowd. It is intimidating. GEJ will not attempt to rig on FeBuhari 14th www.nairaland.com/attachments/2081163_img20150130151959_jpeg292f2dd78862779a499fb30a808f9d1a www.nairaland.com/attachments/2080924_b8maxcscqaeibj_jpeg7ac8632b774ed6eace12e54fe8635000 |
I am having a cold bottle of Guinness® Stout to clear my mind after witnessing the massive mind boggling turnout at the APC Rally in Lagos. It is getting more and more obvious that come FeBuhari 14th, GEJ will surely lose to GMB and team CHANGE. So, my non-partisan question to you Nairalanders is: Will the opposition party PDP still present GEJ as it's presidential candidate against an incumbent GMB in 2019? Especially with GMB performing very well as a President for 4 years. Let's read your sound bites. No insults please. |
Sezua:Economy is on its knees. Don't mind the maga |
See correct men them. Presido to be and his men acting as one team. GEJ bye bye........ Nigeria, Sai Buhari |

Truckpusher:Are you not ashamed of your statements sometimes? We have shown you links where NOI promised both November 2014 and January 2015 for this report to be released. Sanusi that NOI is now praising due to political fallout with Soludo was disgracefully sacked for blowing the whistle on this fraud. The opportunity cost of $20Billion ~13 Burj Khalifas or 30,000 MW hydro dams or 3 Cambridge Universities or rebuilding Nigeria's Military to NATO standard. Don't sell your country's future for peanuts. If you have denounced Nigeria's citizenship, leave us to keep fighting for a turn around of our fortunes. |
dollyptosh:Pray that may GEJ's supporters' lives go the way of Nigeria under GEJ and they will flee like ghosts that have picked a whiff of holy water. ![]() None can say amen to this prayer. |
mdfaruk:Even his thesis cannot be found either in UniPort or in public domain. |

Mods assist us to ask this question in OP. It is a pertinent one in our national discourse today cc: Lalasticlala, Obinoscopy, Maclatunji kindly do the needful |
seges:You're right. First it was November 2014, then January 2015. They want too shoo Nigerians until elections are done then they either disappear or destroy the report. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala's last bit of credibility is out of the window. |
nduchucks:I laugh in Swahili. Bunch of rogues in power stealing since 2009. Abeg relax with this video jare https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AxrrvAel6M |

Today is the last work day in January 2015. Another lie by NOI and GEJ will be busted again. |

This is the same media house that wants to organise a 'fair' debate for Presidential aspirants. APC in its wisdom has decided to boycott the sham they're planning. I wonder what will happen to AIT and NTA after FeBuhari 14th. They have gone too far to demonize GMB. |
https://punch.cdn.ng/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Fashola-360x274.jpg The Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, on Thursday said the $20bn allegedly declared missing under President Goodluck Jonathan’s watch can build 10 Burj Khalifa in Dubai, reputed to be the tallest building in the world. Fashola, who said this during the All Progressives Congress campaign rally in the Epe area of the state, added that corruption and diversion of public funds had retarded the nation’s economic growth and transformation. He said, “Rather than develop strategies that would improve the economy, the current administration inflicted pains on the citizens. “The Burj Khalifa building in Dubai was built with $1.5bn to arrest the attention of the world. This administration has lost $20bn. The money lost by the current administration could be used to build 10 of the structure. “We are the only oil producing country that is importing oil products. They spent over N2tn to import petrol.” The party’s governorship candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode, promised to create a new city in Epe town by completing an airport project initiated by Fashola. Noting that electricity had been the major problem of the area, Ambode promised to tackle it holistically to enhance the economic prosperity of residents and also re-ignite the social lives of the people. Meanwhile, the lawmaker representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Gbenga Ashafa, has said the APC candidates for the legislative seats in both state and national levels will consolidate on the gains made presently if elected. Ashafa, who was also in the Epe rally, added that the candidates contesting for legislative seats in the state were the best. He said if all the APC candidates were elected, it would be possible for the party governorship candidate to complete Fashola’s projects and initiate new ones. Also present were a former Speaker of the Lagos Assembly, Jokotola Pelumi, members of the Akinwunmi Ambode Kommittee of Friends and other government officials. Ah... How mush did Jim Nwobodo stole? Hahaha GEJ. Where is your thesis and how old are you? |
LRNZH: Truckpusher: hyfr:Boys. Those are newspaper articles are from the past, some before we knew APC will exist as it is. Aganga has always been known not to be upright unlike say Chris Kolade or Oby Ezekwesili. He's indeed a learned man but because of politics he has destroyed his reputation like NOI is doing now. You cannot be an economist or a financial analyst and support the colossal waste under GEJ after bumper oil prices. My comments may sound partisan but Aganga is damaged goods. Everyone knows this. If Aganga tells you to stop, you better run. |
Seun, Obinoscopy, Lalasticlala, Maclatunji FP please . This is God in action. |

Ikengawo:Why don't you post pics of functional power plants, refineries built under GEJ and territories captured from Book Haram by the Nigeria Military under GEJ ? GEJ using football are since 1957. Incomplete rail tracks are not on the top 5 priority list of Nigerians/Nigeria. ![]() |
GEJ don't try it. #OccupyNigeria will be nothing compared to the uprising that will occur this time |
https://newsrescue.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/2goodluck_jonathan.jpg Barring any change in their plan, the Nigerian presidency and the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] will any moment from now begin to instigate protests against the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] as a way of forcing the commission to postpone the February 14 and 28 general elections. Presidency and PDP insiders told this newspaper Thursday that as part of the plot to postpone the elections, women and youth groups across the country would be procured to march on INEC headquarters and state offices with placards, complaining about the electoral body’s refusal to deliver their Permanent Voter Cards [PVC] to them. The protesters will then call for a postponement of the election so they would not be disenfranchised. To perfect the plans for the widespread plans, PREMIUM TIMES understands that several planning meetings have been held by officials of the PDP, the party’s presidential campaign council and some presidency officials on how to finance the women and youth groups to undertake the protests. A source familiar with the matter, but who declined to be named for security reasons, said the protesters are expected to gather in INEC offices to protest the inability of the commission to distribute the Permanent Voters Card and ask for the postponement of the elections. “The protest will begin in Abuja after which similar ones will hold in various offices across the country, billions of naira has already been approved,” our source said. He also said the latest move is a follow up to the kite flown by the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, calling for the postponement of the polls on account of INEC’s inability to distribute PVCs. Mr. Dasuki called for the postponement in London, while addressing an audience at Chatham House. However, the INEC Chairman, Attahiru Jega, has stated that the measures taken by the Commission for the distribution of PVCs would be enough to overcome the challenges being faced in the distribution of the cards. INEC also said it has so far distributed 42.77 million PVCS out of the 68.8 million registered voters, representing 62.15 per cent. Since Mr. Dasuki’s call for postponement of the polls, several Nigerians and groups, especially, the All Progressives Congress, APC, have maintained that the Presidency and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, are pushing for postponement because of the fear of failure. The PDP and Presidency have both denied being behind the postponement move. But our source said Wednesday’s meeting has confirmed that PDP officials wanted more time to explore ways of turning around what appears a “change” momentum in the country. “They agreed that the best thing to do is to force a postponement to allow the party recover effectively,” another presidency source said. “They also agreed that the momentum to attack the integrity of General Buhari must be maintained before any election is allowed,” he said. The spokesperson for the PDP presidential campaign, Femi Fani-Kayode, as well as the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Rufai Alkali, could not be reached to comment for this story. While Mr. Fani-Kayode’s telephone lines failed to connect, Mr. Alkali did not answer or return calls. The spokesperson for the APC, Lai Mohammed, had issued a statement Wednesday saying, a newspaper advert plainly calling for election shifts has the imprint of the PDP and Presidency. ”There is no clearer indication that the PDP and the Presidency are the puppeteers behind the election shift campaign than Wednesday’s newspaper advertorial plainly campaigning for the polls to be shifted. ”This advert, which has the picture of President Goodluck Jonathan and the logo of the PDP – meaning they will be the sole beneficiaries of the postponement they are seeking – leaves no one in doubt that the ruling party and the presidency are pathologically dishonest, deliberately deceptive and chronically terrified about the elections,” Mr. Mohammed said. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/175862-exclusive-presidency-pdp-plot-nationwide-protests-force-election-postponement.html |
kay1one:I can't believe that you have not researched the 1983 coup against Shagari's govt and you're blabbing this. GMB was never involved in the coup. It was late Bako and IBB that spearheaded it. Once Bako died during the course or carrying out the coup, GMB who was GOC Jos Command, was called upon as the most senior Nigerian officer to lead the PRC. GMB never plotted a coup. |
