sureguy02: LRNZH, I'm surprised that I didn't see this thread before now. You'll never find topics like this on the FP.
You remember that thread on what we could achieve with $10B...That thread never made FP because someone decided to be biased.
We need to educate Nigerians.
I think nwagkwe's sense of reasoning has been clouded with ethnic bigotry. He sees facts staring at him in the face and still dares to raise objections. Thats so on point. I know Seun, Lalasticlala, Obinoscopy, Ishilove and Maclatunji amongst other mods are open minded. |

agabaI23: . We know you will be very happy if Maiduguri falls. Your disclaimer does not change anything. But I wonder why a sane person will desire that misfortune will befall his neighbour because he wants a political point. Did you really read my comments? I want a reformed military be it under GEJ or GMB. I want to see a great Nigeria again. |

However if this is what you have, it is nothing, rather the guy would sue you for defamation Have you heard of eye witness accounts before? People have been jailed on such evidence. Shalom |

jom28gy: By what you are saying, you are a supporter of apc and a lover of boko haram, otherwise i don't see any reason for to have hatch a coup plot against Jonathan. The plan, according to the article is a quiet palace coup after GEJ loses the general elections. Of course that's a coup against GMB. Read the article (in the OP) please. |

barcanista: I don't believe in conspiracy theories. If you read the interview of the IBB of recent, he was blunt when he said "The President can't use the army to achieve his aim". Let's leave that aside. In Cote'd voire about 4 years ago, election was concluded with winner declared, the President with the backing of the army and their Kangaroo Court upturned the result. The int'l community stepped in, Ecowas, AU, EU, US and specifically Nigeria. Gbagbo (the president) was forced to step down, the opposition formed parallel government and was recognised by int'l community until the bringing down of the exLeader. This is in accordance to AU and UN charter. There is no place for fraudulent take of power in Africa anymore. No leader or army can foist his/herself in power against popular vote. One of the reasons why Morsi's overthrow was welcomed was because he started making laws that makes his office to upturn any decision by the country's supreme court and the parliament. In other words making himself absolute. If Buhari is declared winner or when he wins, no General or Colonel can seize power by force, not even the President can stay beyond the stipulated time. We have lots of precedence in Africa, this is not 1993! I get your point. You are saying it can't happen. I do not see why. The same IBB will sit on the fence as usual if this occurs.
Nigeria does not enjoy the support of past colonial masters like francophone African countries do. France will not intervene in Nigeria like they do in Ivory Coast, Mali etc. Neither will the British or US who are not so dependent on Nigeria's oil as in the past.
Anyway, what the article is saying that GEJ, PDP and Minimah are mulling thoughts of a Military Interim Gov't in the eventuality of a Buhari win. Whether they have the courage and know how to achieve it is a totally different discussion.

barcanista: Sorry bro, but that isn't what happened in 1983. This article is the fakest since the start of the year. Truth be told, you have not shown us enough proof to prove or discredit this claim in the OP. This article is serving as a deterrent that people are aware of sinister plans by GEJ and PDP (if true) and will thwart them.
By the way two Generals resigned last week. It may not be unconnected. I like the discussion we're having. It shows that GMB/APC supporters use their brains instead of blind followership.

zicoraads: This story sounds like a scene from a nollywood movie. The person who wrote this script did a very bad job. And sadly, some people have fell for it hook, line and sinker. Although, the PDP have continually played into the hands of the APC and have showed themselves on many occasions to be lawless and reckless, which is exactly what the APC uses against them. Still, the APC have mastered the art of spinning stories in the media and generating hatred against the PDP and sympathy for her candidates. The story is as fake as they come. duni04: So many people in the crowd and nobody could take a picture? Bloody lies! The APC is a party of hypocrites and liars. This thread should be throw in the dustbin where it belongs. I wonder how it got to the front page without a credible source, and without a rebuttal from Segun Adewale. They didn't even use "allegedly" in the absence of any credible evidence to back up the story, they just said Segun Adewale did it. Garbage journalism! Someone just stage managed this rubbish and brought to nairaland to deceive as many people as possible. For the sake of the credibility of Nairaland and Seuns credibility mods please remove this topic and throw in the waste bin. BTT: I was obviously expecting too much.
@op, I'd thought I was going to be seeing pictures of the (dis)honourable man, in black denim, garbed with a bullet-oroof vest, one knee deeply buried in the sand wielding a police special .38 aiming shots at windows glassess for bull's eye. But alas, studio shots of one hungry tout was posted to torture our senses. You guys have obviously not read through the comments on the thread.
People familiar with the Segun Adewale guy say he has business in the aviation sector hence his nickname Aeroland. Himself and his supporters campaign with sporadic gunshots in their neighbourhoods. His political foe is alleging to be shot at and you're saying what? Winch cry for night, pikin die for morning ..... |

adexsimply: FYI, I'm not pro-PDP or APC, I just don't think it's proper to perform experiments with innocent lives It is not experiment. People will die if we maintain the status quo of wait for BH to attack and try to repel. One day we will fall. The longer this takes the more lives that will be lost in the process.

So long as we do not reform our armed forces just like other sectors of our national lives, even more people will die than you can imagine. |

DaBullIT: No mind them Jare, but we still have to blame GEJ too, before election became obvious and closer, he could have done something and according to new releases he claimed that he's spent 900b on security Even unborn foetuses know GEJ is a colossal.failure in Security. PDP apologists claim it is due to sabotage. My simple question for them is: Are GEJ's failures in the Economy and Electricity also due to sabotage?
The fact that Chadian, Camerounian and Nigerien forces are on Nigeria soil recording victories against BH without our permission is enough to kick GEJ out in 14 days time. |

Bayswater: I won't even join you in analysing this. This is such a feeble attempt to rationalise your evil thoughts. BH is being decimated from their safe base, they are fighting one of the last fights of their life. Such an emotional response to a strategic issue.
You obviously have not paid attention to any map of the Maiduguri or Lake Chad area. The victories being claimed by Nigeria Armed forces are in border towns with neighbouring Chad, Cameroun and Niger Republic. It is clear that foreign troops are doing the heavy lifting.
Maiduguri is at least 500km from any of those borders. This is solely a Nigeria forces responsibility but you can see that nothing is being done to take the offensive to Boko Haram. They have adopted a policy of wait and see if we can repel Boko Haram offensives.
My point is that until the rot in our armed forces are exposed, Chad etc may help us clear Boko Haram now but next time it may be Chad attacking us knowing how weak our armed forces are. Who will help us if that happens?
We need reforms in the military. |

Bayswater: Are you for real! You really wish for maiduguri to be captured right?
I pray that God reward you with whatever kind of thought you have on this Boko Haram issue. You miss the point. It is not a wish. We have analysed that the NA cannot withstand a sustained BH onslaught on Maiduguri.
Remember it was last Sunday that BH attacked Maiduguri at first. No effort was made by the Nigeria Army to do a counter attack on BH forces to dislodge them from surrounding villages.
So it is obvious BH would return more prepared. It is not rocket science abeg. |

Nothing other than campaigning up and down You're wasting valuable MB on these dimwits. All the fake claims by NA is for election purposes.
For 6 years BH has been ravaging the NE. 14 days to election and all of a sudden NA is now reclaiming towns. Lies!!!!!!!! |
