When you give them N1m each to go into small/medium scale production businesses

1) Price Inflation would fall because the production will climb up leading to higher supply.

As supply catches up with demand, price falls. Remember the law of demand and supply.

2) They won't waste that money if

a) they are told to pay back in every year for at most 10years. Which is easy to pay.

b) Their certificates, international passports and other documents are used as collateral and they are banned from travelling without government approval.

c) they are told to bring guarantors that can be arrested if they run away.

You should be the one to read the article again. The person who made the statement, made it on a personal capacity so stop saying CBN said and what she said is that 70% of youths are either emoloyed or unemployed. That still doesn't give a picture of the unemployment rate. In my little town in Anambra state, I can assure yiu that the unemployment rate is less than 4% and nobody from where I come from will be technically unemployed qith a Bachelor's degree let alone Masters degree. What happened to self employment?

Graduate unemployment I expect to be about similar levels. Remember, non educated people or non graduates are more inclined to learn a trade and be employed even if it is menial. More graduates sit at home looking or waiting for good jobs.

In any case, from empirical observation, I would expect the CBN to have more accurate data on gaduate unemployment than on non graduates because we know the gaduation number in Nigeria and can estimate employment numbers from income taxes. But for non graduates, it is more difficult to estimate.

Most of Buhari supporters, and you in particular, still see Buhari as a military man instead of a bloody civilian. You still see him kobokoing and frog jumping people, arresting and detaining people without trial.(Let me laugh like a bloody civilian ). I sincerely advise all of you Buhari supporters to remove the scales from your eyes and face reality. And the reality is that Buhari is now a bloody civilian and a politician aspiring to work in a democracy hence all the military paraphernalia for one man show are gone and will have to contend with democratic norms which I believe are alien to him. Thus I see him failing woefully as president. He will be a figure head president. In fact, he has already failed because he has joined corrupt politicians who are sponsoring his campaigns. He is no longer a one man authority but owned by a political party.

Starting from your immediate family, tell us how many graduates are unemployed 2 years after graduating. Then move yo your extended family ie uncles, aunties, cousins etc and tell us the percentage of graduates that are not employed as we speak. You can extend further to your local community.

Came to a mechanic workshop to fix my brakes and do general servicing. I feel so happy seeing how involved and informed most hitherto indifferent Nigerians have become. These artisans are indeed gonna make their voices heard in the forthcoming elections.
