Wow! So GEJ is that weak such that he has built up a debt profile of almost $50Billion and has a total of $31Billion in Foreign Reserves. This all under ~$100 per barrel oil price. No other PDP President functioned under such a high oil price. Akpabio takes the fall unwittingly calling his boss a weakling for having no control to ensure fiscal discipline under his tenure. Vote out these clueless cronies and their toothless kingpin. GMB 2015. Anticorruption is in our DNA.

Curlieweed:You are referring to a rebased GDP under GEJ in 2014. If you want to compare them, you have to either use a non rebased or rebased GDP for all of them. For the purpose of comparative analysis, The Economist from which the debt data comes from used a non rebased GDP throughout, which is about $265 Billion in 2014. Is that the only apparent 'weakness' you could identify? You should still be worried about the increasing debt profile (Debt > Reserves for the first time since exiting the Paris club) under very high oil prices and insignificant capital expenditure under GEJ. Please grow up and argue issues without name calling. |
Yobo perfectly represents the era of defanged Super Eagles otherwise known as Super Chickens. The great captains like Keshi, Kanu, Okocha and Enyeama have not made such ridiculous statements. He better comes out of the closet to announce his interest in being favored by a GEJ largese than to tarnish what is left of his rather spotty reputation as a Nigeria football great. GMB 2015. [b]Foul.... Look at the following statistics and tell me if NOI is being sincere defending GEJ's non performance. OBJ (2007 Ave.) Reserves: $53 billion National Debt: $17Billion (12% of GDP) Oil Price: $64/barrel Yar'adua (2009 Ave.) Reserves: $42 billion National Debt: $21Billion (11.6% of GDP) Oil Price: $53/barrel GEJ (2014 Ave.) Reserves: $38 Billion National Debt: $49Billion (18.5% of GDP) Oil Price: $89/barrel Oil Price Chart: www.nairaland.com/attachments/2006543_2015010806_09_56_jpeg2ff3fed32640f68a143f27ad54c27917 With the best oil price regime sustained over a long period, GEJ's govt cannot claim to have performed better that Yar'adua or OBJ. Nigeria may never get the sustained high oil price oppprtunity we got under GEJ. But under GEJ, no improvement in Power, worsening Security, No Refineries, Oil bunkering of 400,000 barrels per day ($10 Billion per annum revenue loss). Again, who is fooling who? GEJ has the worst stewardship of the past 3 PDP Presidents. NOI is destroying her reputation by defending this. Two other pertinent questions are 1.Shybis she hiding the salaries of political office holders and being sued to court for this? 2. Why is she hiding the PwC forensic audit report on the missing $10 Billion or $20 Billion in NNPC? Redoil:Eons (of years-sic) ago Did you read the article? These are happenings between 2009 and 2014. I refuse to be tempted to define what an eon, even when used colloquially means. Please Google it. I envisaged your response about editing a Wikipedia Page hence the excerpts from reputable references i.e. The Economist, Financial Times and Sahara Reporters... What do you know that absolves GEJ of these scam? I hate to see GEJ slandered. Please let's have facts and structured arguments |

I was going through President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan's Wikipedia page and came across an interesting part. I was startled. Who's lying on the peaceful PDP President? Read below: WIKIPEDIA PAGE ON GOODLUCK JONATHAN In 2011 Goodluck Jonathan's government facilitated the transfer of payment of $1.1bn to a fake company set up by a controversial former Petroleum Minister under Sani Abacha's corrupt regime, Dan Etete. The fake company, Malabu Oil and Gas was set up in 1998 by Etete using a false identity so as to award himself a lucrative oil block, OPL245, for which he paid only $2m of the $20m legally required by the state. At the time of Jonathan's government helping to facilitate the transfer of payment from Shell and Eni to the fake company, Etete was already a convicted felon of money laundering in France. The Economist reports that only $800m out of the $1.1bn meant for Malabu Oil and Gas was ever remitted by the Nigerian government. The Nigerian Attorney General, Mohammed Bello Adoke, who signed the documents involved in facilitating the payments, denied the rest was shared by public officials. The transfer to convicted felon, Etete, only came to public light when a Russian lawyer that claimed to have helped Malabu negotiate a deal with the Jonathan's government sued in New York for a $66m unpaid commission. Both Shell and Eni, as at September 2014, are under investigation for corruption by the UK and Italy authorities for the incidence. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goodluck_Jonathan THE ECONOMIST.... Chart and Article on The Malabu Deal https://cdn.static-economist.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/econmobile_optimize/images/print-edition/20130615_WBC985.png .... Among the listed owners of three of the recipient companies is Abubakar Aliyu, who is reported to have close business ties to a senior politician, Diepreiye Alamiesegha, the former governor of Bayelsa state. Mr Alamiesegha’s skills in escapology would impress Houdini. Detained in Britain on money-laundering charges in 2005, he jumped bail. After returning to Nigeria, he was sentenced in 2007 to two years for each of six corruption-related charges, though he served only a few hours in prison. In March 2013 he received a controversial pardon from Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria’s president. Local press reports have made unsubstantiated allegations linking both the president and Mr Alamiesegha to the Malabu deal..... http://www.economist.com/news/business/21579469-court-documents-shed-light-manoeuvrings-shell-and-eni-win-huge-nigerian-oil-block THE FINANCIAL TIMES.... on the Malabu Deal The deal with Malabu also renews doubts over President Goodluck Jonathan’s pledge to reform the oil sector, coming so soon after a parliamentary report in April which estimated that $7bn was misappropriated from a fuel subsidy programme between 2009 and 2011. The government did not respond to requests for comment, and neither Malabu nor Mr Etete could be reached. http://m.ft.com/cms/s/0/291c7b48-a28a-11e1-a605-00144feabdc0.html#axzz3J7ebrLy3 SAHARA REPORTERS... On the Malabu Deal .... Investigation by SaharaReporters showed that, as soon as the $1.1 billion was posted to Malabu Oil and Gas London account, it was distributed to the accounts of business associates and cronies of government officials. One of the beneficiaries was a man named Abubakar Aliyu, an individual with close links to President Jonathan. Mr. Aliyu received $532 (N81 billion) through various companies he owned. Aliyu, notorious for shady deals, has long established business ties to Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, the convicted former governor of Bayelsa state who was recently pardoned by President Jonathan. Mr. Aliyu was also at the center of a NITEL land deal. The shady businessman had bought a parcel of land from the Nigerian government for N1 billion and sold the same land to the Central Bank of Nigeria for N21 billion. Aliyu, long linked with late President Musa Yar’Adua and President Jonathan, is known in Abuja circles as a deal broker who has perfected the art of sharing the loot with government officials who help facilitate his numerous astonishing deals.... http://saharareporters.com/2013/06/16/how-ex-nigerian-petroleum-minister-dan-etete-laundered-millions-dollars Is this a fabrication to make GEJ look bad? |
olive2015:www.nairaland.com/attachments/2007400_roadto2015_jpeg69b7779ae7915e2c3a80398d2b2e64bf Is this Lagos? I have my doubts. Lagosians be patient and brace up for the insensitive hardship the blockage and standstill traffic will bring on you due to GEJ's unwanted visit. GMB has been in Lagos severally without associated traffic. The big question: Is GEJ a Christian President or the president of a secular state called Nigeria? Why is he flanked by the clergy left right and center in the picture above? GMB will end all this religious lean attached to the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. GMB 2015. knowledgeable:All this epistle just to ask me a simple question? I dare say yes. GMB stopped Maitatsine. He stopped invading Chadian forces. I guarantee you he will stop marauding Fulani herdsman. Considering that his current ambition and eventual presidency is built on a coalition with a lot of southern support, his integrity won't allow him abandon the South. Be rest assured. |
Roadblock and traffic jams again. Everytime GEJ and Mama Piss come into Lagos, it is chaos everywhere. Why can't he just campaign in Abuja on behalf of Lagos. In a country of at least 80 million youth, 64 million are unemployed. It is unbelievable so here's the link. http://businessdayonline.com/2014/09/rate-of-job-creation-insufficient-to-tame-unemployment-in-nigeria/#.VK2kdctwbqA For a Gov't that lies a lot, let's believe that 400,000 out of 64 million unemployed youth benefited from GEJ after 6 years and are campaigning for GEJ. It is sad that Tompolo and other GEJ's goons siphon about $10Billion annually through oil bunkering while only 400,000 out of 64 million youths benefit from GEJ. I leave it there. GMB 2015. OP no source? Jimi is a scaremongering cockerel of a person talking about a SS rebellion under an inevitable GMB presidency. Lagos is too big for such feeble minds. How can he campaign where he has had a negative impact? GEJ avoided Kano like a plague. He let Boko Haram ravage Kano. He antagonised her son and Emir SLS who exposed the rot in NNPC. Use your PVCs to sweep out incompetent leadership and cluelessness. GMB 2015. No to Incompetence.

What an unfortunate statement by Agbaje. It is an insult on the South South and a prove that PDP cannot tackle unrest of any sort. Insult because even the South South like the rest of Nigeria, live in darkness, feel the impact of a depreciating Naira, witness oil bunkered to enrich very few militants.... GEJ does not have the initiative to tackle Boko Haram and will be unable to tackle any form of insurgency. They expect APC to be of the same guise. If there is any insurgency or increased militancy in the SS when GMB becomes President, the carrot of Yar’Adua and the stick of GMB will be combined to quell it. Also massive developmental programs will be undertaken to improve the lots of the SS like that of other Nigerians. By the way, Lagos does not deserve a scaremongering governor. GMB 2015. Performance is our Mantra.

Western because he abstained at the UN Security Council vote against a Palestine State due to Obama's command. That was wholly unstrategic. What will Nigeria gain from taking sides with the Americans who deny us weapons to fight Boko Haram? GEJ did not analyse this before bowing to foreign pressure. Most Western President at the detriment of his people. GMB 2015. Independent Minded Leadership.

In a statement made available to THISDAY on Tuesday, the party expressed disdain over “the outright neglect of federal roads in the South-east: which the Ninth Mile road junction gridlock is the metaphor.” According to the statement signed by the chapters Publicity Secretary, Mrs. Kate Ofor, “We are outraged that it took Ekweremadu 12 good years to come to terms with the outright neglect of federal roads in the South-east and in particular, the mess the Ninth Mile road junction transit route to northern and western states has turned into. “This is more worrisome when we note that the Ninth Mile junction is in the senatorial district which Ekweremadu claims to represent. “We are at loss why Ekweremadu and his colleagues, Senator Ayogu Eze and Hon. Ogbuefi Ozomgbachi both of whom are chairmen of Senate and House of Representatives Committee on Works respectively, looked the other way while the federal roads in the South-east, were dilapidating? “It is painful that it took Ekweremadu 12 years to take notice of the horrible state of the Ninth Mile Road Junction. “In sum, Ekweremadu should apologise to Enugu West senatorial district, his constituency and indeed South-east for under representation; as the only motion we could remember Ekweremadu raised was the ignoble one on the legalisation of abortion, which was shut down by majority of senators.” Meanwhile, the gubernatorial candidate of the party in the sttate, Mr. Okey Ezea, yesterday unveiled an international criminal law attorney and development expert, Mrs. Juliet Ibekaku, from Egede in Udi council area of the state as his running mate for the February 28 election. Ezea said his choice of a female running mate was fuelled by the need to effectively carry the women along in his administration if elected and also in line with the policy of the APC to ensure that women and youths are not left out in the scheme of things. Ezea, who took a swipe at the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for what he described as its failure to address the myriads of problems facing the nation and the state in its 16-years of being in government, said the APC was fully prepared to introduce a different approach to governance. He alleged that the ruling party had received a whopping N500 billion in the state in the past seven years “without anything to show for it,” noting that allowing the PDP to continue would amount to further allowing them to control even bigger funds without providing commensurate service to the people for another eight years. He, however, pledged his readiness to complete any project abandoned by the present administration of Governor Sullivan Chime if elected. The APC governorship candidate said he would ensure that the economy of the state was revitalised through aggressive agro-based activities that would make the state far less dependent on allocation from federation account. ”The problem of our economy in the state is that of corruption and incompetence. The economy of our state can be robust enough if well-managed. We will go into agro-based enterprises that can mop up the army of unemployed youths in the state. The APC candidate who also touched on other sectors of the governance in the state lamented alleged abandoned projects in the state, citing the uncompleted International Conference Centre located within the Independence Layout in the capital city as an example. On the viability of the APC machinery in the state to tackle the ruling PDP and its candidate, the opposition party candidate declared that “PDP is no march to the APC and none of the party’s candidates has been a march to me.” On the state of health facilities in the state, Ezea said: “We intend to build a referral hospital in each federal constituency in the state to take care of the health needs of our people. Also speaking, the deputy governorship candidate, Ibekaku said she had spent 20 years working on anti corruption activities, women welfare as well as youth development, noting that she would bring her wealth of experince to bear on the ticket if they are elected on February 28. The party governorship candidate also formally presented his manifesto and social contract with the people of the state focusing on a five-point agenda of wealth creation and poverty reduction; improvement of the health sector and health systems; infrastructure development; security of lives and property and accountability and good governance. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/apc-berates-ekweremadu-for-state-of-federal-roads-in-south-east/198563/ |
