I just discovered this:* 12. Cost of Rebuilding The Syrian Army- from $3B annuallyIn 2014, experts from the CIA and the Brookings Institute Center for Middle East Policy analysed what it would cost to rebuild the Syrian army if Assads regime were to be toppled. How much should the U.S. and its allies spend to create a new military force capable of crushing the Islamic State insurgency in Iraq and Syria? The real costs could start from $3billion each year, with the greatest unknown being the price of the air campaign. Reasonable estimates are $1 billion to $2 billion to train the troops every year, another $6 billion to $19 billion for air support and $1.5 billion to $2.75 billion in non-lethal aid once the Syrian army is in control. https://www.gamersworldbd.com/images/ModernWarfare2/mw2soldiers.jpgBoko Haram is capturing territory everywhere and declaring a caliphate while adequate funds to build a formidable army to defeat them is 'missing'. |

The above sectors are what any responsive, proactive and objective government should focus and be scored with. Ngwakwe: Stop deceiving the public.
You have no concrete proof that a dime is missing yet.
The Finance Minister insisted before the Senate committee that the only money left to reconcile the accounts is $10.8 billion. “I just wanted to add that we found about $10.8 billion. He mentione $12billion,” Okonjo-Iweala said. NOI stated that the amount is between $10.9Billion and $12Billion missing.
SLS claims that the missing amount is more ie $20Billion.
So is it not between 10 and 20 Billion that is the bone of contention? Irrespective of whether $12Billion was mentioned or not.
If you're not silly, in what other serious, self respecting Gov't or country will they be trying to reconcile over $10Billion dollars for over 2 years judging by what less than that amount can achieve?
The paragraph above is the purpose of this thread. Ultimately the genuine PwC Audit Report is the final judge of the matter. That's why we are requesting for this report and discussing it.
Instead of moving this to FP you're blowing dust.. I swear I feel like I'm arguing with a primary school pupil. Anyway, I've been asked to ignore you by all other commenters. Your penchant for lowly ignorance is famous. |

Ngwakwe: I am a busy but let me answer some of your questions
The earlier PwC audit report justifying NNPC got to do with crude export figures According to PwC and I quote: "The firm faulted Sanusi (CBN) on the ground of double counting and narrow coverage of revenue statistics, even as it noted that the CBN did not question production figures, which could have provided basis for the allegation of missing billions of naira.
The report faulted the statistics used by the CBN governor on the ground that the correct data was domiciled with the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and that statistics provided by a unit of the CBN did not tally with the data from the DPR.
Sanusi's allegation against PwC previous Audit and report Investigation: “Now in investigation and trying to understand where those leakages were, our attention was drawn to a huge difference between what appeared to be export of crude made by NNPC and amount repatriated into the crude equity account of the Federal Government.
Sanusi to my understanding is questioning total crude export made by NNPC and what sales data Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has for which PwC used for their Audit. Have you heard of Occam's Razor?

Ngwakwe: Thanks for the information You're always welcome. Before I finish with you, These are the questions you failed to answer 1. If an earlier PwC report has absolved NNPC of wrongdoing, why was PwC commissioned to do another forensic audit? Is that not a waste of tax payers money?
2. NOI announced the audit by PwC to the general public in April and confirmed it will be complete by November. Why can't Nigerians ask for the report in December? Public office is a contract with the people.
3. I showed you link proving that the PwC audit report has been submitted to the FG. Why is the FG denying possession of the said report?

In this matter the principle of checks and balance require the NASS to deliver an unbiased report to Nigerian people than report of internal reconciliation by Executive branch.

Ngwakwe: Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala is trying to protect her dignity in the court of public opinion and more also the allegations by Mallam Sanusi has to do with NNPC illegally holding back money belonging to Federation Account.
Then to your question proper. Has Dr Iweala reneged on her promise? Or Is the opposition trying to search for campaign topic?
Target time for submission of the report by PwC to the Executive is November 2014 and her decision to make it public is on her terms but whether it was delivered by PwC on the said date is another matter.
Have you read any news (foreign or local) indicating that PwC has submitted the report?
