No thread is irrelevant and certainly not this one

The presentations on this thread has no political connotation rather quotations/ financial plan for project execution based on imaginary mismanagement.

Remember, I haven't absolved the NNPC of any wrongdoing based on Sanusi's revelations
NOI adilmitted that at least 10.9 Billion US Dollars is missing from NNPC. SLS was sacked even though he was the one who pointed it out.

I showed what has been achieved elsewhere with less than 10 Billion US Dollars .

And you say it has no political relevance with elections in view?

Are you joking?

Ngwakwe:
No

We should wait for Senate Committee On Finance for unbiased report where indictment for wrongdoing will be placed on guilty parties while innocent parties should be absolved.
See the flaws in your argument.

1. When NOI announced in April that PwC was commissioned to carry out the forensic audit she was not talking to Senators but the general public.
Therefore, Nigerians have a right to ask and see this report.

2. Investigations have shown that the Gov't is denying that the report has been submitted to it by PwC. However same investigation have also shown that the report is with the Gov't already.
Why is the GEJ Gov't denying possession of the report if they have nothing to hide?

I still stand on my first comment on this very subject and it is the most valid statement ever.

Every other political talk is just an attempt on misplaced responsibility.
This your ignorant opinion.

More importantly why don't we have this thread on the front page? Are you saying it is irrelevant to Nairalanders?

Ngwakwe:
Who should release the report to Nigerian public?
The Senate Committee On Finance or the Finance Minister?
Are you conversant with Senate probe on this very matter?
Let me quote Dr Bukola Saraki for you on this very matter.
“I can say on behalf of the committee that these media reports bear no correlation to the content of the Senate committee report and I would urge the public to disregard it in its entirety.
“The committee is yet to receive the report on the forensic audit and independent analysis on the subject clearly indicated we have a lot of grounds to cover in order to determine the level of culpability or otherwise of agency on the alleged non-committal.
“Therefore, to suggest any clearance for anybody at this stage is out of the question. I will further advise that the media should wait for the Senate to release the details of the committee report to the public before they jump into spurious conclusions.”
You have brought his up before and this was my response:

LRNZH:
PwC are the independent experts. Their report is both forensic audit and the independent expert analysis. That's what Saraki was referring to in the Senate.

I have explained to you, audit reports are not rocket science if the Gov't is not hiding skeletons.
You have no argument.

PassingShot:
You exposed yourself further as not-so-smart really.

Falana clearly stated that previous audits conducted by our NA never yielded any result! As such he requested the FG to cause the Auditor General of the federation to audit the allegation. Now the question are:

1. Was the Auditor General instructed to do the audit? I doubt.

2. Has any audit been conducted to unravel the mystery? I doubt this also because no evidence suggesting it.

3. Was PWC commissioned by the FG to do the audit? Yes, NOI said so and promised that the report will be available October/November 2014.

It is pure idiocy to even want to support your argument with a call made by Falana a year ago (Dec. 16th 2013); which has not been heeded by the clueless one.

Or are my missing something?
Don't mind the clown. He's trying to derail the thread.

The main purpose of the thread is what can be achieved with less than $10Billion. Why can't Nigeria achieve this?

Ngwakwe, you have failed to answer this so far.

That's why the PwC report is so pertinent.

So we should keep quiet abi?

Remember we had this report by PwC submitted to the Minister of Petroleum before the Finance Minister, Dr Iweala ordered for the forensic herself
Still exposing your ignorance.

If an earlier report submitted by PwC has absolved NNPC of any wrongdoing why are tax payer's money being spent again for another forensic audit.

Even NOI knows that there is rotten fish hidden somewhere.

Moreover, explain why with all these amount of money we are taking about none of the 11 examples in the OP is close to anything we have seen in Nigeria.

Ngwakwe:
You are just being unnecessarily busybody.

What has PwC Forensic Audit got to do this kindergarten presentation of projects and contract quotations? Is this the first time this audit has been conducted? Has there been a time it has been made public through the media?

What is secrecy about a government that has the courage to sign FOI all about?

The Freedom of Information bill signed into law by this administration enables you to demand for any document directly or through the court

Why do the opposition insist that others use the court to settle matters when the are not ready to quietly follow the same route?

Abeg as the opposition will say, "Go to court"
I'm sorry to say that you're very myopic or plainly super-ignorant.

Myopic in the sense that if you're using your political affiliations to
1. deny sharing the sheer scale of what $10Billion is to other Nigerians; and
2. justify not requesting for the results of the PwC audit from the FG.

It means you do not wish a better Nigeria for yourself and your offspring.

This is a thread advocating for transparency and you're the tool in the devil's workshop trying to suppress it.

For the same reasons above, for not knowing the value of requesting for transparency from your Gov't, I am tempted to label you ignorant as well.
In this case I am willing to lecture you on the value of transparency to national development.

You're supposed to be championing this and other comments have stated this explicitly.

PoliticsNiger Delta Group Vows To Resist Any Attempt To Rig Votes In Favor Of GEJ by LRNZH(op): 12:38am On Dec 30, 2014
The group under the aegis of Niger Delta Support Group for Buhari-Osinbajo 2015 has vowed to resist any attempt at rigging the Niger Delta votes in favor of president Jonathan. According to the National Coordinator of the group Comrade Dennis Mene said that president Jonathan has not only disappointed the region but he has failed the Niger Delta people with his one-sided government.

The group averred that for almost six years of Jonathan administration, its impact has not being felt in the region but rather what is seen its an attempt for one ethnic group to lord their self on others. The group warns that another four years of president Goodluck Jonathan will be a disaster because he has so far shown that he is incapable and overwhelmed by the challenges of the country.

A fact that former president Obasanjo and Professor Wole Soyinka attested to. Jonathan rather than curtail the menace of Boko Haram insurgency, corruption, Impunity and others, has blamed virtually everybody for his failure. The failure of Jonathan to end the insurgency in the northeast has cost Nigeria more than fifteen thousand lives and still counting.

The group in a statement released in Benin city over the weekend ask, if they say one person is the sponsor of Boko haram, then who is the sponsor of corruption, impunity, bad governance etc. we should not be deceived that one person can Islamize Nigeria.

The only dividend of democracy we can pinpoint of president Jonathan is increase in pump price, increase of phcn tariff and monthly charges without light, corruption, insecurity and poor infrastructure. The group backs Comrade Adams Oshiomole of Edo state, RT.Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi ,former Governor of Bayelsa, Timipre Silva and Senator Ugbodehehe of Akwa Ibom for there stance for change and against bad governance.

We strongly believe in the integrity and capacity of General Muhammedu Buhari/ Professor Yemi Osinbajo to deliver on jobs and to end the boko haram menace. The group also vows to mobilise all Niger Deltans and educate on the imperative of voting APC.

Your MWatts gave been deposited in sheepopotamus cayman account. Now imagine the going from lagos to ibadan in 15 min.
Imagine what it will do for the 2 cities.

The THSR 700T operates on the high-speed line between Taipei and Kaohsiung in Taiwan. The train entered into service with Taiwan High Speed Rail in January 2007.
It operates at a speed of 300kmph reducing the journey time between the two cities from four hours to just 90 minutes.
It was constructed by Kawasaki, Hitachi and Nippon Sharyo. Based on Kawasaki's 700 series Shinkansen trains, the 700T was the first Taiwanese rolling stock to import Japanese high speed rail technology.
The total investment for manufacturing the initial 30 trains in the series reached about NT$100bn ($3.4bn).
This is effectively No. 1 on my list I'm considering including this in the OP.

Meanwhile junkies are celebrating refurbished diesel locomotives.

When sambo was kaduna state gov he did some thing like this and after 6 months they all collapsed.
