LRNZH: I think NL needs an underage limit policy in the politics section. Some of these teenagers. SMH.
jamace: So all you can say about the exposed atrocities of Osibanjo is to blame the teenagers, eh? You must be one of those old men giving Nigeria headache and blaming the youth.
See what I mean? My comment flies above the teen's head.
sammhi: but surely not GMB...He cant nd wont fight corruption only a fool will think dat GMB is seeking power to fight corruption. how many corrupt amy officers did he jail as head of state or how many ptf staff did he jail ? being honest does not mean competence .....25 bn missing in ptf fund ....he was not aware.....let GMB prove his competence by ruling Kdunna state first
See? Your ignorance knows no bounds.
GEJ is from Katsina and not Kaduna State.
Go and find out how many corrupt politicians and Drug Dealers that were jailed or lost their lives under Buhari/Idiagbon (1983-1985)

hansad: Buhari was the Head-at-Large all the time ever-sickly Sani Abacha was leader of Nigeria. Abacha's regime corruption was the worst ever in Nigeria. It made headlines all over the world, put Nigeria in ridicule. Buhari knew all the corruption then or benefited. After that Buhari told Nigerians that Abacha was not corrupt. That was the same time Buhari charged Muslims to ensure that extreme sharia codes are implemented all over Nigeria. Since then Buhari has engaged in 4 very expensive presidential campaigns, Does Buhari print Naira? Buhari for you, not for president of Nigeria
Instead of blatantly lying on Buhari just admit that GEJ had made a massive tactical error to associate with 'President IBB' of all people.
1stCitizen: The man that annulled the freest and fairest election in Nigeria...a common thief who stole our money and votes........has just endorsed Jonathan Goodluck.
oziegbe2015: Remember the statement of andrew azazi when he said pdp is boko haram. He died few days after that statement. When pdp makes claims to buhari and others as responsible for their wores i just laugh. They compare nigeria case to syria, egypt, afghanistan etc. But in reality our case is quite different. The above countries are constitutionally recognised as islamic nations. And as such we do know the different sects exist in islam the shites (ordinary muslims) and extremists(sharia) it is reasonable to see a clash between both sect for supremacy because naturally islam is recognised and imbedded in their constitution. Their is bond to be a fight as to which sect should be superior to the other. In other islamic states where you find no clash, it is obviously so because the extremists have not decided to want to claim superiority. In nigeria we are not suppose to be talking about islamists because first it is alien to us. Nigeria is constitutionally a free secular country for all, no religion is endorsed over the other. In the 36 states the constitution didnt endorse any religion as lord over the other. During obasanjo tenure PDP tenure, because obj was seeking cheap popularity among the north, he resolved to use the tool of religion to get it. Sharia was given in islam and is believed to be the core and peak of islam, but it remains and has to be implemented to be practised. Obj and pdp aided by MUAZU(PDP current chairman) and sherima implemented sharia in full. That breed monsters and brought the believe in those who wanted to pratice sharia to the core to believe it can be approved for them nationwide and in all northern states. That is what boko haram is agitating for today and they belief they can force their beliefs to be accepted too. Pdp and their president were looking for cheap popularity for election and didnt care about the consequences it would take in the future
You have said it all. Save your breath for elections.

quid: Good. Notice that evidence is still.lacking. Audit reports are not automatically adopted without additional scrutiny. Vote GEJ 2019
Let me assume you're sensible. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala or any member of government in charge update Nigerians on the status of the audit report. The deadline agreed by Okonjo-Iweala herself is over.
Is it still with PwC and the deadline extended or Government is looking at it already?
quid: Where is concrete evidence that 20billion is missing.? Stop spreading rumors
Do you understand the OP at all?
NOI and Attorney General of the Federation paid PwC to audit the allegation of missing $20Billion by Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the erstwhile CBN Governor. We want to see PwC's report under the FOI act. It is overdue according to the timeline provided by NOI.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the PDP-led Federal Government of trying to suppress the audit report on the missing $20 billion oil money, saying the deadline for the release of the report, which was set by the government itself, has come and gone.
In a statement issued in Ilorin on Saturday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said Minister of Finance Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala herself had said, at the Financial Times Africa Summit 2014 in London in October, that the report would be ready in November 2014.
It quoted the Minister as saying at the Forum on Oct. 6, 2014: ”We engaged PwC (PriceWaterHouseCoopers) with the Auditor General of the Federation taking the lead. They asked for 16 weeks to complete the work; they have spent 11 or 12 weeks so far and they will be done in a couple of weeks.”
APC said adding the remaining four weeks for the conclusion of the report, as requested by the auditors, meant that it should have been ready by latest Nov. 7th 2014.
”It is now over a month since the deadline for the release of the report expired, and the government has simply kept mum on the report, apparently in an effort to sweep the issue under the carpet, as it has done with all other reports of widespread corruption under the present dispensation.
”However, Nigerians will not allow this to happen. They will continue to demand that the audit report be made public, in the interest of transparency. We also believe that the Minister of Finance should strive to protect whatever is left of her international reputation by living up to her words that the issue will not be swept under the carpet. It is not only Nigerians but the entire international community who are interested in the outcome of the audit.
”If there is any reason why the report has not been released, the Minister should immediately come out and tell Nigerians. Otherwise, she should release the report today so that Nigerians will know exactly how much of their oil funds is missing and those to be held responsible for the unprecedented heist,” the party said.
APC said it refuses to believe the stories making the rounds to the effect that the FG is deliberately sitting on the report because it (report) has heavily indicted it and some powerful personalities in the Administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
”In announcing the forensic audit of the unaccounted for money, Mrs Okonjo-Iweala said the President supported it and asked for it to be done. Now that it has been done, why has the report not been released, even if it implicates the government itself?” the party queried.
It said the urgent release of the report will also end the rumour that the missing money is the source of the huge slush funds being used for President Jonathan’s re-election, as well as the speculation that it was the same missing money that formed the source of the huge funds that were round-tripped to the Jonathan campaign fund during his recent fund raising.
”Overall, a government that went cap in hand to borrow $1 billion to better equip the military in its fight against Boko Haram should not hesitate to get to the root of $20 billion missing oil money. Had that money not indeed been missing as alleged, would the government have needed to borrow $1 billion to pep up the Boko Haram war? ”We are therefore joining the millions of Nigerians who have demanded the urgent release of the audit report. Failure to do so before the end of the year will leave Nigerians with no choice than to conclude that the FG is indeed hiding something about the missing $20 billion, a conclusion that will indeed be more than justified,” APC said.
adeusolu: Nigerians and youths DIED in 2011 in the hands of those who hold religion and tribalism as their guiding light, the born to rule people. LOOK AT KADUNA STATE WHEN A CHRISTIAN PATRICK YAKOWA RIP WAS THE GOVERNOR BOKO HARAM WAS BOMBING THAT STATE AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK BUT WHEN THE KILLED PATRICK RIP AND A MUSLIM BECAME THE GOVERNOR THE BOMBING STOPPED. THIS IS THE SAME SCENARIO WITH LARGER NIGERIA. BOKO HARAM ENJOYS THE SUPPORT OF ALL NORTHERN MUSLIMS NOT GEJ. IT IS THE NORTHERN MUSLIM AND FULANI WHICH BUHARI IS THEIR PRESIDENT GENERAL THAT HAVE NO REGARD FOR LIFE. CORRECT YOUR SELF GEJ HAS BEEN AT THE HELM SINCE 2011 IF IT PAIN YOU GO AND DIE!!!!
myhoodlink: I'm not against media houses giving out useful information that will aid the fight against insurgency but using such privilege to downgrade and demoralise the soldiers is very wrong. SR from the inception of this administration has not seen anything good with it. This sentiment was even aired by the owner Somo...(a Yoruba name) in one of his interviews some months ago. As a Nigerian, he too should set sentiment aside and collaborate with the authority towards ending this war against these insurgents.
SR are just exposing it as it is. The top brass of the Military is heavily corrupt. The lower brass is suffering and demotivated because of this. What else do you want?
It was tribalism that made people oppose Sanusi.
He was right all along.
Let NOI and PWC release the report na. The deadline has passed and tax payer's monies were used for it.
HugeMac: Before You Vote Against GEJ In 2015, Please Answer These 15 Questions. 1. Do you remember a time in Nigeria when food commodities like Beans, tomatoes, Yams and onions suddenly disappear or become scarce in our markets? How many times have you experienced this under GEJ's administration? 2. If you live or work near a railway crossing, do you or do you not see trains packed with passengers or cargo plying that route every other day? Was this the situation say 5 years ago? 3. How long does it now take you to travel from Lagos to Benin down to the East? 4. When was the last time you slept in a Petrol station where there was no ongoing strike action in the land? 5. Can you swear by God's name that you do not know (or heard of) at least ONE person that benefited from GEJ's YOUWIN scheme without any connections? 6. Are there massive construction works currently going on at Lagos, Enugu, Abuja, Kano and Port-Harcourt International airports? 7. How many federal universities did Nigeria have before GEJ's administration, how many do we have now? 8. Has over 100 modern Almajiri schools been constructed across Northern Nigeria or not? 9. Has Nigeria fully resumed the assembling of vehicles after an almost 25 years lull, and do we now have indigenous car manufacturers being patronized by government and private sector? 10. Has electricity been privatized in Nigeria, and are you now noticing slight improvements in power? Do you honestly believe that new private investors in power sector can solve a 35year old rotten system in just a few months? 11. Do you know that Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) now acknowledges that Nigeria's manufacturing capacity has grown tremendously in recent years? 12. Did you know that Nollywood movies like 'Doctor Bello' and several others were funded with special media/creative industry loans provided by GEJ's government via Bank of industry? 13. Has contract been awarded and construction work started on the second Niger bridge? 14. If you live around Abuja/Kaduna axis, have you noticed a newly constructed ultra-modern standard gauge railway line linking Abuja and Kaduna? 15. Can any government truly find easy solutions aimed at stopping multitudes of religious fanatical citizens that have embraced death and are ready to take others with them? This is not a thread for insults; these are 15 questions I'd like nairalanders opposing GEJ to answer. Your honest responses are appreciated. Thank you.
I am sorry to bust your bubble.
After over four years in power with unprecedented high oil price, you're still talking about contracts and ongoing constructions. They're for show. Immediately after elections, you will hear that due to low oil prices, these projects and contracts are no longer viable.
Jonathan has achieved conclusively just two things so far are:
1. Airport redesign which is just aesthetics. Safety issues and maladministrarion of the aviation sector still continues. Remember how Richard Branson pulled out of Virgini Nigeria because of corruption.
2. Reduced fuel queues. This is because of subsidy removal. People are paying up to N120/liter of PMS. Of course that's incentive not to smuggle fuel out of Nigeria. But look at the downside. While fuel prices have fallen everywhere else in the world, Nigerians are still paying high fuel prices even with falling oil prices.
Again, all those contracts and ongoing constructions being awarded after four years will never be completed after elections. Remember I told you, oil prices will be the excuse.
Now if we're to list GEJ's failures you will be embarrassed.
HugeMac: if you think Nigerian politics is all about merit and not interest then you re naïve, when people start seeing buhari as a positive change then I knew Nigeria's problem will never be solved , we lie to ourselves a lot , reuben told all the apc goons on twitter to name ten things that buhari did in his previous regime, with cash price attached till now nobody could name up to 4, I pity this country
abbey621: Can you see how primitive you are? Look at the bolded statement, you want to compare military rule to a democratic rule, are you okay You and Reuben must be smoking crack, the real question you should be asking is what has GEJ accomplished during his 6 years in office? I dare you to name 3, don't stress yourself too much trying to come up with an answer!
This is how I also came to support Buhari (and APC)
In 2009/2010. I supported GEJ against the cabal that were opposing him and concealing Yar'adua's death.
In 2011. I became skeptical, because GEJ squandered the Foreign Reserve from $33Billion to $600Million in 10 months.
In 2012. I was involved in the January subsidy riots. GEJ promised to restore two refineries and reinvest partial subsidy removal funds judiciously.
The rest is history.... Tompolo’s buying private jet and warships, Oduah gate, Boko Haram and Ali Modu Sherrif, $20Billion missing, unprecedented oil bunkering, 16>19 at NGF, Diezani failed jet probe, Chibok Girls, I don't give a damn, America will Know and Stealing is not Corruption, Alameseiagh getting state pardon, Abba Moro Immigration scandal, Na Only You Waka come? Stephen Keshi and Super Chickens, Only Igbo Support Me, etc etc
GEJ has under performed woefully and his body language encourages corruption prodigiously. Anybody expecting Jonathan to change is not being realistic.
2014: The stellar democratic APC primaries vs the one-man show PDP primaries. Prof. Osinbajo as VP and Rotimi Amaechi as Campaign Director on the Buhari Team. APC governors have performed better than their PDP counterparts. OBJ disowns GEJ in public.
2015: I am neither Hausa-Fulani nor Muslim but I have decided to give Buhari a chance based on his anti-corruption antecedents.
