Few days back, fast rising act Maye Hunta survived a fatal accident. The accident happened at Oshodi road in Lagos city. The car which was driven by his manager also had fellow artist Steel and a group of other friends. Unfortunately the car belonged to one of the passengers named Minjin. They were on their way to Global Excellence Couple’s Night show

Maye said it was a convoy of four cars and they were all going for the same event. “It was raining heavily and we were in a convoy with three other cars which included Kenny Ogungbe and Minjin. Minjin’s car hit the bus in front of him and mine too rammed into his. We’ve towed the car to my mechanic workshop”.

British Intelligence has warned the UK Prime Minister David Cameron that terrorist group Al-Qaeda is determined to make Nigeria its command and control center for plotting attacks on the West.

A report published in The Mirror claimed that MI5 warned that radical Islamic groups operating in Nigeria, especially the Boko Haram sect have dramatically stepped up their campaign.

Boko Haram which operates mainly around the Maiduguri area has claimed responsibility for more than a dozen bomb attacks in the country including a recent suicide explosion at the Police Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The group has killed hundreds of people since it started its jihadist campaign against the Nigerian people and government.

“There are dozens of flights every day from Lagos to London. We either help stop the terrorists here, or we will be dealing with them on the streets of Britain,” a British official told the paper.

The 24th edition of the pretigious beauty pageant took place at New Convention Centre of the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island Lagos Nigeria. The event which held on the 25th of June 2011 saw Miss Taraba emerge as the most beautiful girl in Nigeria.

A foreign website (JEZEBEL) voted Dbanj as the best dressed at the just concluded BET Awards that took place on June 26 at Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

The daughter of Mr. Aniedi Ikoiwak who serves as the Independent National Electoral Commission resident commissioner in Rivers state remains in kidnappers den. Her abductors have demanded a ransom of N100 million.

11-year-old Utibeabasi A. Ikoiwak was kidnapped at the premises of Abundance Life Ministries church on Ikot Idon Road in Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State On 19 June 2011.

Described as ultra-intelligent, Ms. Utibe is a year 2 Junior Secondary School student and only daughter of her parents.

The man who bombed the Nigeria Police Force headquarters in Abuja on June 16 was a fairly well-to-do businessman who was actually on a suicide mission on behalf of the Islamic sect the Boko Haram, Blueprint can authoritatively report.

Mohammed Manga was a 35-year-old married man with five children who drove overnight from Maiduguri to Abuja in order to carry out the morning attack which left about five people dead, including a police officer, and many cars incinerated in the blast. He had left N4 million in his will for his five children – two girls and three boys – before embarking on the fateful journey to the nation’s capital.

There was proof also that Manga was accompanied on the deadly mission by at least a collaborator in the plot, who took his last photograph alive as he drove through the streets of Abuja. The collaborator(s) might have disembarked from the car before Manga reached the Louis Edet House headquarters of the Nigerian Police.

Blueprint can also authoritatively report that, contrary to a claim by the police authorities that the bomber had used a Mercedez Benz ‘V Boot’ car in his terror mission, he actually used a Honda 86 model.

USA first Lady Michelle Obama met with former South African President Nelson Mandela at his home, in Houghton, South Africa, on the second day of a week-long trip to Southern Africa. According to White House officials, Mrs. Obama, daughters Malia and Sasha, and her mother, Marian Robinson who accompanied the first lady were viewing some of Mandela’s personal papers at his foundation when he sent word that he wanted to meet them. Tragedy struck in Enugu and Oyo states yesterday as 46 persons died in separate auto accidents. The accident in Enugu which occurred at Egede village on Ninth Mile-Nsukka Highway were a commuter bus belonging to Peace Mass Transit with number plate BENUE – XB 504 TKP and another bus owned by Enugu State Transport Company, ENTRACO, with number plate ENUGU – XL 812 UWN each conveying 15 passengers.

The accident claimed 28 passengers and the drivers. Among the deceased were four discharged members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, who were returning to their homes after the national service.
Two persons who were seriously injured and went into coma were rescued by officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, who rushed them to a hospital at Ninth Mile.
