CareerRe: The Role Of Nurses In The Nigerian Healthcare System by Luckymay(f): 6:56am On Jul 20, 2016
I like the point about... Deep lacerations and the nurses waiting for the doctor to come suture it up. I would have loved for you to throw more light so those people who see nurses as monsters would Have a rethink.. Take for example
A nurse is on duty and an emergency RTA victim is brought in and there was no doctor at the time. You will see the patient relatives screaming down the building, calling nurses all sorts of names cos they refused to attend to the patient without knowing that policy and rules are what's keeping the nurses from attending to the patient and not cos the nurses cannot take care of the problem. And if by chance the patient dies before the doctor comes in.... Then the nurse on duty will receive hell from the victim's family.. Its time to nurses are given certain kind of recognition expecially in Nigeria. In the situation where a nurse is faced with some cases and the doctor is not there, let her be accorded the privilege to do what she can to save the patient... In this country of ours, once a case is brought in, the patient relatives wouldn't mind the profession of the people they meet in the facility, they don't even care if it's the cleaners they meet, all they want is instant and immediate response to the dying patient and once they are not attended to., they go to the media screaming wolf. Painting the facility with all sorts of colors. Let the nurses be given the chance to practice what they are taught. My opinion.

Clearly, from the rudeness of your personal attacks on me, you have no desire to learn and grow. You can ascribe all your assumptions to me but what I've actually said is in black-and-white.
I don't go and seek out these idle topics in Romance section; I only respond to stuff majorly from Frontpage. Let it end; you clearly don't know your mate and nairaland affords you the luxury to think all "opinions" are equal in merit. People with teenage children come to me for advice and listen with respect because I've raised people older than that even if I didn't birth them, not to talk of my personal life story; but of course, you have no clue. Enjoy yourself, you're in good company, a true product of your constricted society.
About my opinions... Don't you think you are looking down on me by implying that opinions are not equal so I'm supposed to shove mine somewhere so you don't get angry at me. You said something about age and yet you don't like African ways. Sorry but last time I checked it is mainly Africans that holds respect of age to some extent unlike the western world which you represent. Sorry if my comments appear rude. I have never insulted anyone on net and I don't plan to start with you. I respect your opinion and I think you owe me the same courtesy too. Have a good night rest. Perhaps you can also extend a hand of friendship to me by answering the last question I asked in my previous mention. It will help in the new article I'm writing. Thanks sir

Where can I start? The tragedy of an ignorant society is that people are made to believe that however life was made to be when they're born is the correct way life should be. I laugh very much. The things I know aren't what I can tell you to quickly read up and give me a feedback in the afternoon. It's a whole lifetime on a different path. Join a foreign forum and ask them about your contention that parents should tell their children that contact with boys is bad and then suddenly at 25, start to ask them that "where's your man". It's the joke of a society you live in that makes you think it's normal. Note that I'm not your everyday Nigerian expressing a view. I am trying to correct this whole society and I'm not
finding any headway because
everyone thinks as you're thinking as I said previously because they believe how they met life is how life should be. THE OPPOSITE IS THE TRUTH!
See Mr.. I'm not saying you should get married. Infact it's non of my business. As to you telling me what you knw.. I don't really care cos you are entitled to your own opinion and beliefs.
You are not an everyday Nigerian man trying to do wat? See wether you are a Nigerian or not it's not really my concern. What is my problem is you trying to say that the point I made about opposite sexes.. Is void.
See, wether the way African/Nigerian parents raise their girl children is right or wrong, it's not in my place to say that or start campaigning against it. Maybe when I have my own kids I can choose however I want to raise them and maybe you should try having kids so you can tell them to start seeing the opposite sex and copulate with them at age 6 or maybe even buy them a condom to carry around.
My earlier point is that opposite sexes can't live without each other no matter how we try to fight it. It doesn't mean *marriage.
Let me ask you a question... Though you have chosen to be a eunuch..., don't you have a girlfriend? A sexual partner or whatever you choose to call the opposite sex you mingle with?
Unless you wanna tell me u are gay?

I think Nairaland isn't the place to say it. Go and tell every young girl growing up - and their parents and "elders" too because the average Nigerian girl is brought up to believe they don't need the male gender besides to do work for them. That's why you treat boys with such awful disrespect until you grow old and everyone is asking when you will marry, then you turn around and start accusing men of being afraid of successful women. Before issue of getting married comes up, 90% of Nigerian educated girls are hooking up and having sexx with something like 5% of Nigerian males. This creates excess on one side and massive deprivation on the other. When the 5% men finally marry on 5% of the girls, the other 85% of the girls then profess their "undying love" to the category they spent their whole lives mocking. I say 99%Nigerian girls are not good and I didn't marry and I'm in my 40s and I've been on both sides of the divide of men's capacity. Thank you
Well done Mr....
1. An average Nigerian girl is raised to stay away from the opposite sex cos that's wat their parents told them. And parents after them and on and on. But they still had an affair with the opposite sex..and that's how we come into existence. Let me not go biblical but look at eve who from what we are taught Is the first woman who was under strict orders to stay away from eating the forbidden fruit (sex) yet she did eat it and that's how procreation took place and that's how both of us came to be.
Now the only way average African mother believes she can raise a virtuous girl is by instilling fear into the girl child so she doesn't do the right thing at the wrong time. My mum once told me when I saw my first menses that if I ever come in contact (even bodily) with a man that I was going to get pregnant and so I stayed away from the opposite sex as if they are plagues...until the same opposite sex and western education made me understand that I can only get pregnant when the two bodily fluids comes in contact. (I'm sure you understand what I mean) an average parents doesn't even know when their girls start having sex. (#fact) and that is because the attraction between opposite sex is naturally there from creation and we can't help it.
2. Dont have much to say on that cos its story for another day.
3. You are 40 and u are not married.... I laugh hysterically at you...
Are you proud of the fact that you aren't married? Am sure you are not. You can't deny that at one time in your life you have always fantasized on how u are going to make money, settle down with the love of your life and raise kids together. Wat happened to those fantasies and dreams? You let one or two heart breaks deter you from living in the world you once created for yourself. Well I won't ask you to heal your wounds cos I believe even in your state of heartbreak or what ever made you to stay out of serious commitments... You still mingle and tangle with the opposite sex which brings us to that natural attraction I was referring to. Without much derailing I would like to end our discuss here. But I'm sure I was able to drive home my point.
Oh and lastly you said something about me going to Nigerian parents and not nairaland to tell them about the natural attractions... Well even the parents understand that and that's why at the age of 25 moms no longer tell their girl children to stay away from the opposite sex. They tell them to bring them home.
Enough said. Good day.
