Since the girl has been your friend even when you were being extravagant, she should as well stay now that things ain't colourful Isn't that what 'love' is all about? This is the time to know if she truly cares. I know you need money to maintain a relationship but it is at a trying times like this that true love conquers. Explain to her the situation of things now and if she walks away, then she never loved you. 2 Likes |

cocoduck:So you think by defecting to biafra, you'd finally be free from captivity, your rights can finally be delivered to your doorstep? You think there won't be any more looting nor corruption nor any other political vices? Come on wake up please. Unless biafra is to be ruled by the "invisible supreme being" that which you fear will still be rotating in cycle. |

mabea:So because Nigeria is made up of different ethnic groups, divide and rule is the solution to the problem? And I didn't remember making you a jury on who scores the highest point. I don't remember telling you my opinion here is to score some cheap points. You said I don't have a right to be a Nigerian, like seriously. You have no right whatsoever to deny me of my citizenship. And if you have your reservations, simply say it than taking up an unpaid job of a jury. |

You are deviating a little from the topic OK let me summarise my points in an easily assimilating manner.. 1.if at all the biafra thing becomes reality, it will take more years to fix and function than it will take to fix Nigeria if we stand and one with the right leader. 2. There's bound to be intra tribal crises that will arise which may stall the progress and which can be avoided if we stop this biafra agitation. You are saying that there hasn't been any tribal rifts amongst igbos in history, well you need to go back to your history books. So all in all, to avoid these things we need unity. That's all. 1 Like |

MadamExcellency:You are trying to make this matter personal but I will not indulge you. What structure are you talking about nne? You speak as if when you finally have your right to rule. Biafra will be shifted or moved from their soil to a different hemisphere entirely. It's still the same faulty foundation. Let's assume the right of sovereignty is finally accorded, then what next? Do you think arranging things ie putting things in place like making a different passport, having our igbo brothers all forces defect to ours, changing the uniform colours of all agencies, creating our own source of revenue other than oil, do you think those things can be achieved in a year or two? My dear it will take more than a decade before biafra becomes a sovereign functioning state. Have you even thought of the land dispute that will ensue after the whole thing? Or you think every eastern cum southern state will agree to emerge as one? Have you ever thought of the the internal war that will crop up in the midst of the biafrans.? It is then you will begin to hear things like "nnamdi kanu is from Abia and he went to prison for biafra sake, therefore every core political appointment should be from Abia." Anambra people will say "ojukwu and mbazuruike died for this course so every decision must be made from here. Ebonyi people will start complaining about how they are stereotyped as a small state with less contributions to the National quota. And so on and so forth. Now while all these things are going own, don't you think Nigeria with the right leader will not be above us? Remember, it's not about economic independent, it's about how to put the right policy in place to harness the available resources for the good of everyone. 4 Likes |

MadamExcellency:What I meant by 'Nigeria' is the igbos, yorubas and hausas inclusive. Remember the leaders were once ordinary citizens like you and I, so it boils down to one factor needed for the progress of the nation *patriotism*. Let's reason without sentiments, do you think nnamdi kanu is any better than obasanjo, Goodluck Jonathan and other host of political leaders.? Once there is selfish interest and greed in the heart of our leaders be it Nigeria or biafra, which ever nation they represent is bound to fail. So quit calling me names cos you don't know me. 2 Likes |

Biafra is a political facade used to instigate violence and chaos in the midst of peace loving igbos. My grandmother told me that a child who hasn't witnessed war does not waste time to pull off his clothes even when the fight hasn't started. Igbo youths are clamoring for war on the basis of sovereignty because most of them didn't witness the civil war. . If "we" can be able to do away with corrupt politicians in the eastern States, we can always attain any height in the political hemisphere. It's not about biafra, it's about patriotism in any official level. It's about having a noble desire and sincerity to serve, doing away with greed . Since the time of democracy, we (igbos) have always had one of our own in the top political status, what have they been able to deliver using that limited time they had instead of stuffing their private accounts and building mansions in (heaven) where there's political competence. Instead of saying "I hate biafra" but I'm igbo, you should say "I hate our politicians, but I love Nigeria. 7 Likes |

Stop the marriage plans for the time being and settle with the girl. Make her understand that you don't love her to the extent of spending the rest of your life with her, I'm sure she will understand. Also make sure to keep your fiancé in the know before taking her to the alter Note that I'm not advocating for abortion. Just assure her you will take care of her and the baby and keep to your words. Karma no dey look face. This serves as lesson to men who can't stay committed to one partner |
