That Ssrah lied and got away with it does not mean God approved it. All sin is sin before God no matter who comitted it. God judges all equally. @ Kris2glo. Maybe you don't understand me. I am in the habit of playing coupon every week. That's what i mean by pool betting. I just want to know if it's a sin before God. |
I am a born again christian and i have made up my mind to stay away from sin and live a life that is pure and acceptable unto God. But one thing i have become addicted to is betting on the pools every week. I set aside a percentage of my income to do this with the hope that i will hit it big one day. But due to my decision to live only according to His will, i was wondering if this habit is sinful before God. I'd also like to know some Bible passages against it. |
There are lots of good hotels in Calabar. For that pricr range, i'd suggest the ffg: 1.MICADO HOTEL: lt's located along IBB way and is only 5 mins drive from the airport. 2.DORIS O' HOTEL: Located at Eastern Highway. Very lovely Hotel with car hire services. You can even hire a hummer or limo. It's less than 5 mins drive from the airport. 3.LISANI HOTEL: This is along Atimbo road. Just aboutv7 mins from the airport. Hope this helps. Don't want to give you too many option so as not to confuse you. And while in Calabar, make out time to visit the TINAPA business resort. Who says Bishop Oyedepo has no tangible products or services? Do you guys think it's easy to cater for the spiritual needs of thousands of people. Do you know how many months of prayers and fasting he embarks on before any successful Shiloh event? This man has invested his entire life into God's work and deserves his reward. Give him a break. |
This our Nigeria is one hell of a place to live in. Nothing seems to be working, despite all the resve the rces available to the govt. No light, no jobs, no security, no student.loans, poor quality of education, roads, telecom services, banking services, internet services, and the list goes on. But thankfully, Nairaland is helping me reieive the stress of living in Naija. I just chill out here everyday enjoying the informative, enlightening and sometimes very hillarious posts of Nairalanders. How i wish Nigeria was like Nairaland So, what do you like most about Nairaland?[color=][/color] |

The best way is to end all forms of communication. stop calling and texting. Ignore her calls. Act cold and uninterested when she visits. She'll get the message and leave you alone. |
I think it serves all of them right. They are suffering from the same effects of corruption they are engaged in. |
I need the help of experts here. I have some documents on my computer. I need to convert them to p.d.f documents so i can make it available for anybody who wants to read it, I dont know how to go about it. |
A lot of people in this forum and elsewhere really talk a lot about information marketing. Is it really workable in this Nigeria or is it just hype. Are people really doling out money to buy some info in e- format? |
Instead of taking Achebe's message and getting inspired, we are attacking Ribadu. Of all the criminals he arrested, tell me which of them was falsely accused. Let us reason together and rise up to the challenge of fixing Nigeria else ouir children are the ones that will suffer. |
My kid sister wants to be an ambassador in future and she is seeking universities in Nigeria where she can do a diploma. Please can Nairalanders come to her aid? |
Why is it that women keep shouting they need a good man, but when God brings one their way, a man who truly loves and cherish them, one who does everything to make them happy, they break his heart and go after those who show no love feelings towards them. My younger brother's girlfriend just dumped him for a guy who treats her like dirt. The poor guy is still sulking. He even lost his job cos of his depressed state. What's wrong with women? |
Great IDEA. Most people will laugh it off as foolish, but remember that if anybody can become rich packing S*** like Otunba Gadaffi , then any business well packaged can become a money spinner |
There are 2 major reasons why this Yahoo Yahoo thing is prevalent. Our government is insensitive to the plight of Nigerians and especially the youth who form the bilk of these fraudsters. While Barack Obama is vigorously pursuing massive employment in the Us, our government is merely paying lip service to the problem. Over 80 Million youths in this country are unemplyed and our leaders are not even doing anything about it. What do you expect this idle youths to do? Yahoo Yahoo is even small. What of kidnapping thatis threatening our daily lives. It's now the quickest way to wealth by youths. Anybody can fall a victim anytime as they have moved from kidnapping politicians and oil workers to even the everyday citizen. The secomd reason is greed. The quest for wealth is pushing these guys. I mean they want to live large without effort and patience.Fast cars, easy chicks, the flamboyance, This is really negative. If this guys will only chang their focus from fraud to legit means of doing biz on the net, It's going to serve us all. The time spent sending scam mails if invested in legi biz on the net can yield a good income for any serious Nigerian. Interne business has come to stay in Nigeria nad the sooner you cash in on it, the better for you. |
N50,000 is big money to start business with. I suggest you look within you to come up with business ideas. There is an idea inside you that will make you rich. Look deeply inward and discover it. Then launch out with careful planning. You will succeed!!! |
Ghan has been good to Nigerians over the years. This explains why Nigerians are trooping there to live and do business. Low crime rate, constant power, healthy business climate are some of the advantages Ghana has over Nigeria. Nigeria and Ghana are brothers and so any seeming problem should be amicably resolved by the governmaent. Personally, i love Ghana and never miss an opportunity to visit whenever i can get the chance. |
Great Post! This reveals that there are a lot of opportunities out there who is ready to grab them. I have the personal belief that anybody that can read and write and also has access to the internet and a phone has no business with poverty. Nigerians should open up their eyes and see the wasted opportunities lying around you, take advantage of them and be the next guy your neighbors will describe as 'lucky guy'. |

It is common knowledge that the productivity of employees generally impacts on the buttom line of companies. This is why coperate organisations spend huge amounts on in house training for their staffs. This helps to boost staff morale and help them come to do better at their jobs. Can the CEOs and managers in the house give us an insight into how much they spend in training their staffs anually? Can they also give us a little idea about the format of the training? How often is this staff training carried out? Is it weeekly, monthly, quarterly etc? Finally, will you appreciate a system where the cost of the inhouse training will be subsidized by 50%? This subsidy will be given by a human resource consulting firm. Contributions will be greatly appreciated. |
This is very hilarious. Maybe let's get the legislature to pass a bill that mandates every police man to undergo babalowo tutelage on how to interprete cases such as this. Maybe they will be able to turn the goat into a human being. OR Better still they should go and get a babalawo to turn the goat back to it's human form. |
I came across this website with some powerful articles and i really think it's gonna benefit all of us on this site. There is this particular one that got me thinking and it bis titled What a man really wants by Tom McKnight. Check it out at http:///6aczkp |

Many of us in this forum, i think are employed by one organisation or the other. We spend 2/3 of our day at work. I am a staff in a micro finance bank and i really need a salary raise. Can we post some of the problems we face at work in order to find solutions to them. IT may range from being harrased for sex to gossip and backstabbing in the workplace |
Tip 1: Never Skip a Meal Eating petite and more frequent meals helps to level your caloric intake during the day and keeps your blood sugar in a balanced state. Rather than eating 3 large meals, try to eat 5 - 6 smaller meals throughout the day. Tip 2: Allow Yourself a Treat Every person has his or her favorite treat(s). Simply give yourself a tiny indulgence sporadically, but be mindful of the frequency and the quantity. Eliminating all of your favorite treats usually leads to an early relapse. Tip 3: Understand Your Labels A product labeled with a fat-free claim does not necessarily mean that it is also low in calories. Similarly, a product labeled as low-carb does not mean it is also low in fat. Always carefully read the nutrition label on the packaging to ensure that you know exactly what you are receiving. Tip 4: Determine Exactly How Many Calories You Need [Daily Caloric Need] = [Body Weight in lbs.] x 15 + ([moderate activity in minutes a day] x 3.5) Since you wish to lose weight, your target = [Daily Caloric Need] - 500 cal For example, if you weigh 160 lbs and you achieve 20 minutes of moderate activity every day: You Daily Caloric Need in this example would equal (160 x 15) + (20 x 3.5) = 2400 + 70 = 2470 cal. Subtract 500 calories from that total; 2470 - 500 = 1970 cal. Therefore 1970 cal is your daily caloric intake goal for losing 1 lb per week! Tip 5: Eat Raw, Whole, Organic Foods If possible, purchase only fresh foods and avoid all processed and convenient foods such as fast food. Packaged and processed foods are often much higher in sodium and fat content, and contain less nutritional value. Tip 6: Eat at Least 5 Servings of Fruits and Veggies Every Day Fruits and vegetables are full of beneficial vitamins, fibers, and antioxidants. They fill up your stomach fast, so you feel full earlier. And, they are also very low in calories. Tip 7: Watch your Portion Sizes One serving of pasta would generally equate to 1/2 cup of pasta. However, most every restaurant you visit will serve a pasta dish with about 4 servings of pasta!!! Take home the leftovers. Tip 8: Stay Away from Worthless Drinks Juices, soda, & sugar in your coffee all add up. Always drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. This will keep you full, hydrated, and feeling great. Tip 9: Keep a Food Journal This can be tough to do, but is worth its weight, literally. A food journal allows you to pinpoint your eating habits and enables you to easily modify them. Tip 10: Exercise, Exercise, Exercise Most authorities recommend 30 to 60 minutes of activity a day for optimum health. It is also beneficial to try and work-in some weight-bearing exercises at least 2 times a week. Tip 11: Get That Sunshine! God created us to get some sun every once in a while. The body needs the vitamin D produced from taking in that sunlight, and we need to be active in order to live a healthy life. And, the fresh air feels great! |
