Officialgarri: Henry Boyo, the only confident and non-hypocritical man who could call a spade a spade.
He once boldly called Okonjo Iweala a failure! And has also damaged the Nigerian economy
Well, by all facts and the price of oil then as a measure, the economy was indeed a disaster.
The only reason why we appreciate her is because the economy of now isn't fairing better than hers, but it doesn't mean it was all good
RIP sir You're shameless! Even Garri would be disappointed in you. You had to bring rubbish politics into this. |

Lets see what "Saint" Makinde would do since all of "Devil"Ajimobi's strict sugestion and policy to end constant strike and make Lautech accountable and sustainable by auditing their internal revenue (tuition, acceptance fee, PGD tuition, Predegree fees, Hospital patient charges Lautech water Lautech Bakery)or capturing Lautech Payroll system were hurriedly thrown out and he was called constituited authority
Ajimobi wanted a restructed tuition to complement Government Allocation(in a school where many are yahoo boys and olosho yet they want to pay next to nothing for education)
Ajimobi refused to slash Oyo's Federal Allocation by over 40% to cater for just one school filled with all sort of characters
He refused to give them any kobo unless they subject all their staffs both lecturing and non lecturing to be captured in Oyo State Payroll system
.. You're really shallow and dumb. Many of them are Yahoo and Olosho. Out of over 25,000 students, less than a tenth are the rubbish you described and the other majority all have to suffer for that. What sort of an idiot are you really? |

Politics › Re: Oyo Governorship: Appeal Court Rules In Favour Of APC But Leaves PDP In Office by Luckysbab: 3:30pm On Nov 12, 2019 |
SalemCiti: The basis for intended retrial is not basically to disagree with the Tribunal's judgement certifying Makinde's election. That was not stated by the Court of Appeal in their judgement as stated above.
The Appellate Court did not actually make any finding invalidating the election that brought in Makinde as Governor. What they established was that APC/Adelabu's evidence tendered at trial were not evaluated by the Tribunal. The Tribunal dismissed Adelabu's evidence as mere documents dumped on the Tribunal. This was found perverse by Court of Appeal and as not giving Adelabu a fair hearing.
Since the Court of Appeal can not by law admit evidence and evaluate them on primary basis, the only resulting decision is to order a retrial mandating the Tribunal to admit and evaluate the evidence. But doing so would have made the Tribunal sit beyond 180 days stipulated by law.
It is not strange for Court of Appeal to order a retrial in an election and so there is nothing confusing here. It happened in the trial between the then Governor Oyinlola and Aregbesola in Osun State. The Court of Appeal ordered a retrial because Aregbesola's Police Report evidence was not admitted by the Tribunal. Retrial was possible then because the Constitution did not stipulate time limit for trial. The matter was retried but Aregbesola lost again at the Tribunal.
The task at the retrial would have been solely to admit and evaluate Adelabu's pieces of evidence, not to invalidate Makinde's election. It is another kettle of fish if the evidence would have been strong and substantial enough to invalidate Makinde's election. That is left for the Tribunal to decide, if retrial had taken place. The evidence can be evaluated and still be inadequate to nullify Mankinde's victory. The Court of Appeal has left this discretion to Tribunal by not finding any thing contrary in INEC's returning Makinde as Governor. Thank you for the detailed explanation and the fact you went about it decently. |

Jordan97: Only LEGENDS know that this border closure is political. The plan is to limit the flow of rice into the country and help DANGOTE(who suddenly went into rice production) to boost and gain market for his business.
But what do I know?? Una don start. So all the rice brands that are selling well in the market currently are from Dangote? He suddenly went into rice production; why didn't the other big men do so all the while we were reliant on foreign rice? We think Dangote is the problem when we really just wait and allow foreign brands to dominate the market - Shoprite, DSTV, Jumia, Opay, etc. |

Venerable612: Before you mention me - make sure you have common sense.
And it’s obvious you have a problem with comprehension as well.
If you read the article, the Judgment of the lower tribunal was found to be perverse - the reasons were not stated.
If the perversion was to the root of the matter - the Appeal Court would have nullified the election and ordered a fresh election. But none of the prayers in the Appeal was granted - which means the Appeal was without merits.
Please don’t mention me again - if you don’t have common sense. You know nothing about the law - and you are here displaying your ignorance. I can't keep mentioning an arrogant jerk, who can't make his point without throwing insults. Your license should be reviewed, if you do have any. The lady has made a point about the court making a diplomatic point of letting sleeping dogs lie, under whatever technical jargon they could find. Who's discussing law textbooks here, if not some ITK bloke? |

Venerable612: It’s a trend on this forum - people will read the post and make very wrong and absurd conclusions - either out of lack of comprehension or malice.
The news article simply says
1. If the 180 days for election petition trial had not elapsed, 2. The court would have ordered a retrial in the lower tribunal.
No where did it mention the removal of Makinde.
I hope it’s clear to you that this is not a poor man’s consolation now? Stop contradicting yourself man plus you have no right to trash another person's simplistic opinion. What's the basis for the intended retrial? Is it not to disagree with the judgement of the tribunal, certifying the Governor's emergence? |

Business › Investment Opening In Igbeti Marble Deposits by Luckysbab(op): 10:15am On Nov 10, 2019 |
INVESTMENT OPENING IN IGBETI MARBLE DEPOSITS There's a lot to say about this, but let's stick to the investment potential part. The Igbeti community is waiting and hoping on the Oyo state government to revamp this industry. Meanwhile, the past administration kept promising and well, you know the rest of the story. The current administration is waiting on investors from Botswana, who were present on their inauguration day. But I am open those with the means out there will come in soon. Dangote is already exploring the deposits at Obajana, even though the use there has been limited to cement production mainly. Among the key reasons I am clamoring for investors to come in is that the mining process currently adopted there is too strenuous (such that it's mainly the energetic Hausa boys doing the job) and wasteful (In the process of breaking it into bits, there are many quantities flying away as residue). In other words, the process is ineffective and inefficient. See attached pictures of modern vs crude mining process. You can check out TVC news and Channels TV video archives for more detailed documentary on this. #clarion_call TQ https://tribuneonlineng.com/igbeti-marble-site-forest-reserve/amp/
