There you go again and you are wrong again. You cannot pass a bill to execute someone just because of their religion. You can only do something to them only if their actions affect you or someone else as in if Muslim attacks you or someone else physically or verbally then you can execute them other than that you cannot execute them just based on their faith alone. The Nigerian constitution gives everyone freedom of religion but not the freedom to attack anybody's religion or beliefs physically or verbally.

I really don't believe that Nigeria as a country having limited resources is the main problem, Nigera as a country have more than enough resources to be successful as a nation, our main problem is bad management and corruption by both the government and the citizens. reducing the maximum number of children will definitely not stop or fix corruption or bad governercce. as muslims, we also have to be very careful when adopting anything from the west. take family planning of the west as an example, there are many factors that needs to be considered before adopting it. factors like abortion which is legal in the west but its definitely haram in Islam.

I personally believe the problem is way bigger than family planning or Northerners having too many kids. take polygamy for example? its was designed according to the shariah to benefit the women but the way its practices by our muslims men is mostly to benefit the man. you can easily see a jobless twenty something year old Male in the north with 3 to 4 wives and even if each wife starts family planning and give birth to just 1 or 2 kids, we are still taking of a man with 4 wives and and and about 8 kids. that's about 12 mouths to feed for one jobless man but according to the shariah a jobless is not qualified to take a second wife take less of a 3rd wife, that's why I said the problem is bigger than family planning. if they truly practice Islam according to the Qur'an and Sunnah (Shariah) then family planning will be the least of their worries

Islam allow muslims to have any numbers of children they want as long as you can cater for them. Islamicaly some people can only have or should have one child while some people can have more its usually based on if you have the means and resources.

Ameen, may almighty God bless you as well. as in regards to family planning, to the best of my knowledge Islam encourages having children just like in christianity but it also stipulates its the man's responsibility to take care his family (wife and children) and definitely begging is not an option unless you have a valid reason.

Prophet Muhammad was reported saying it's better for a man to go in the forest to cut down woods and carry it on his back to market to sell to make money to cater for his family than to beg people for money.

if you ask me, I'll say the problem is that the north is not as Islamic as they are claiming. cutting poor people hand or flogging of the weak is north the Shariah law, but respecting the rule of law by every citizen is actually the shariah law. a southern state like Lagos actually practiced the Shariah law more than some so called Islamic northern states.

Thanks, the truth is that Islam is really not against this so called western education. what do we really mean whenever we say western education? my simple definition of western education today is vast knowledge that mankind have acquired over the past centuries. we have discoveries made by African, whites, non whites,
muslims and non muslims that the world is benefiting from today but western education is defined today as if it's a white man education or invention even though the first recorded university was in muslims territory during the golden age of Islam.

when the West(Europe) was still in the dark ages, islam actually made it it mandatory for muslims to seek knowledge (which muslims are failing to do now) muslims built the first universities, first libraries, discovered algebra (Mathematics). European where actually colonized and by ruled for over 500 years by the Muslims caliphate. Europeans where actually educated by the Muslims they even adopted the Muslims numbering system because the Roman numerals is weak when solving complex mathematic equations (algorithms, algebra.... all have Arabic roots).

you do have a solid point, but I disagree with your saying "the level of illiteracy in Islam " the better way to put it can be "the level of illiteracy amongst Muslims or Northerners Muslims " . Islam as a religion makes it mandatory for muslims to seek knowledge and educate themselves even if they have to travel as far as China just to seek knowledge(China being so far away from most places). They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of God, and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary. Yet they are commanded to worship but One God ..."

Sura 9:38,39,41 -"O ye who believe! What is the matter with you, that when ye are asked to go forth in the cause of God, ye cling heavily to the earth? Do ye prefer the life of this world to the hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life, as compared with the hereafter. Unless ye go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place ... Go ye forth, (whether equipped) lightly or heavily, and strive [jihad] and struggle with your goods and your persons, in the cause of God. That is best for you, if ye (but) knew."

This is just two verses from many. You need to study your religion more.

Nothing is this verses preach intolerance of non muslims, you as a Christian have every right to call jesus God and I as a Muslim also have every rights to reject your claim. your bible says the only way to heaven is through christ and muslims will be in hell fire for eternity and you do have the right to say that(christianity is entitled to its opinion) but also remember that Islam/Quran is also entitled to its opinion or belief, its called tolerance

Sura 9:29-31 does not ordered any Muslim to kill any non Muslim the verse is simply ordering Muslim State (A Specific Government over 1,600 years ago) the government of Muhammad (saw) in The city of Medinah that signed an alliance with the Jewish and Christian living under the Muslim state to simply pay the Jizya(Tax) Muslims then where to pay Zakat (religious tax) while non muslims are not required to pay the Zakat (religious tax) but they are only required to pay The Jizya (regular Tax) the jizya is actually lesser than the Zakat and only the adult Males are required to pay the jizya while both adults males and females muslims are required to pay the Zakat. this taxes is what is used in maintaining the city including security for all its citizens (Muslims, Jews and Christians). the verse was only telling the Muslim government 1,600 years ago (not individual muslims today and definitely not boko haram or ISIS) to fight/prosecute non muslims that refused to pay until they pay up. nothing in the verse says kill non muslims

Your question is actually posted wrongly, questioning about christianity since his birth(probably just few dacades) even though Christianity have been around for over two thousand years and did most of its wrongful killings (dark ages) up until the early 1900 century. Christian mostly stop its killing just in the last 100 years (century) after it had already gained or forcefully converted most of the world population into christianity through mostly violent means (crusades, colonialism, American slavery......) hiding under the disguise of missionary.

Most of Europe use to be pagan and within few centuries, over 95% became Christians, how come? its mostly through forceful convert of the pagans into christianity. I remember reading about a British or French king in early European history charging a whole nation (another small country) to death sentence unless they convert into christianity.
