So was the phone worth his life? Nonsense. They should lock all of them up and throw away the key. 18 year old criminals, your life is just starting and you used your hands to throw it away.

They always seem to think it makes the woman less of a woman. Very nonsense mentality. One elderly woman in my street was arguing that children born through CS don't have rights to claim inheritance. Wahala. As if carrying the child for nine months wasn't enough.

Nigerians and their natural abi traditional hatred for women giving birth through C-section is one of the major problems birthing women experience in Nigeria, whereas it seems to be the safest if done by an experienced person.

I love when people resort to insuIts when they have no further points. I love when people unravel like that. It's so amusing.

My dad was working for Chevron as an architect when I was born. Any further questions?

Because you guys are so desperate to procreate you give birth to kids and then they're born into a life of suffering. Peak selfishness. Instead of you to work hard so you can give your kids the life they deserve you're calling me a dummy. Oya na, dey born dey go. I hope your kids don't end up as thugs or wheelbarrow pushers who have to watch their mates be important people in the future. When they were teaching planned Parenthood in secondary school, some of you chose to use that time to be sending love notes and picking your noses. Why am i bothered? It's your kids' lives, not mine๐Ÿ˜‚ some of you need to learn the hard way.
Timothy89:

Go and ask your dad how much he worth when he impregnated your mother, because you dummies have phones now, your mental and societal understanding of life locked

Does this fool even know that as a lady aged her fertility activeness reduces biologically? You can't compare a lady of 20yrs with a lady of 38yrs when it comes to fertility proactiveness

I leave you to your foolishness

Omo.

No let money hold you down? So if you're not financially stable enough to have a child, you'll still have one anyways because you want someone to keep your "history"? Lmao.
Nobody's saying you must be rich, but if you're struggling to support yourself it would be pure wickedness to bring a child who has no say in the matter into this world to suffer while his mates are enjoying stable and comfortable lives. Let's imagine a poor man has a child, what is the child going to say about his dad's history? What history is there to tell? Look at the millions of kids begging for 100 naira on the street so they can eat their first meal in days, shey if you ask them their dad's history they'll have something tangible to say?

Responsible parenthood is a thing. Make sure you're stable financially, emotionally and physically. It's selfishness to bring someone to this world just because you want to. At least give the child a chance. Unless you want the chances of your child being destitute to skyrocket by ten. So you should let money hold you down. The child needs good food. Education. A proper home. Please. Abeg.
Timothy89:
I regret not giving birth early enough, my first child for don dey write waec by now

Like a writer wrote above, no let money hold you down, give birth and for those ladies that are aging, find a responsible man get you pregnant

If you comot this world without having your offsprings to keep your history, it will be unfair

I feel like this amount of lack of empathy is because a lot of people are unable to view things from a different perspective.

I won't lie, it seems to me like this is a strawman argument. As in, you're grasping at straws. They were still at the dating stage? So did they do white wedding at any point in their lives before death? God himself had recognized their union, giving Eve to Adam as a companion. So they were still dating?

You said they were in the dating stage when Satan got them to fall. But in Genesis 3:6 it says "And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat". I haven't read the Bible since secondary school and even I remember that.

Adam is referred to as her husband in this verse by most versions of the Bible. So what exactly are you talking about?

Oga, if you want to sleep around before marriage, do so. It's your body after all. But don't use the Bible as justification.

Yes! They were not married.

Yes! They were not married.

They were still at the dating stage when satan got them to fall.

And as you see, you do not see any place where God declared them husband and wife nor do you see any marriage ceremony and celebration take place.

Which is why even male Adam said "it is the woman you gave me" and not it is the wife you gave me or it is my wife whom you gave me.

Parental consent is a very important ingredient of having a valid marriage and a public show by the parents is also integral to it. That is why all over the world traditional amd customary marriages are valid.

It may be a script but the conversation is one that needs to be had. The problem is having it the right way lol. But civil conversations are impossible here.
10mobile:

Don't mind my gender Sis. See them avoiding your intelligent questions. Just, how would I feel to accept a proposal from a woman? It will certainly make me feel less a man.

Even the rest of nature shows that it is the role of the male to initiate the move. Or, how many times have these Nairalanders seen a hen go for a cock? Or a she-goat go for a he?

Meanwhile, I'm even more ashamed to realize that my people are so shallow-minded as not to notice that this video has been acted from a script.

Isn't culture full of yet another set of social constructs? I know I'm arguing semantics, but still. Isn't it then a matter of cherry picking, for you to tell me to unburden myself from one construct and use another construct to prove your point?

I get your point either way. Mine was to point out the hypocrisy in the way a lot of people on here think. I guess I got sidetracked.
y3mi:
Unshackle the chains of your mind from rigid social construct. You and 1Sharon are worried about concerns that are the imaginary pitholes made real in a patriarchal system. In the Yoruba belief system, no such thing breadwinner or home keeper, Ifa teaches about the fundamental nature of complimentary duality. Both gender can always work out the flexibility of roles inter-play just to make it work, eben in this modern times with many factors ro contend with.

But what's the limit na? They all paid the same rent, why should he suffer inconveniences? It's not like their house didn't come with a kitchen. Dealing with the smell day in and day out and the noise is obviously frustrating. Why can't they tolerate and find somewhere else to wash their plates, instead of insulting? There's no reason you should move into a new place and become a nuisance, you get? He seems like a calm and reasonable person. He took the time to meet them personally to beg them, before resorting to telling the landlord. Nobody should be oppressing you in a place you've paid rent in.

I said it earlier, it's not as bad as you think. You're clearly using jaded lenses to view this whole situation. What-ifs will actually be the d3ath of you if you let it happen. Personally, I believe in love, and I believe people can find love. I've lived in a home filled with it all my life. I don't base my reality on what I see online. You will be fine. Don't worry.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: A Clean Office Job Of 100k Salary Or An Unbefitting Business Of 400k? by lululovesblue(f): 8:19pm On May 22
I don't think the point of others is that as a master's degree holder you don't deserve a job that would make up for all your years of schooling. It's the fact that in this economy the most sensible decision would be to go for the job paying four times the amount of the clean office job, because cleanliness doesn't pay the bills. You said it yourself though, the situation is messed up. Nobody wants to take their degree to sell pepper. But if it pays? A lot of Nigerians would abandon their dignity and do it, with the way things are. The question is, are you going to drag baskets with uneducated abokis and make a little profit or are you going to drag your empty stomach to work for four times less the amount?
maasoap:

You know many Nigerians are hypocrites, see as most of them are commenting and asking Op the same question like they don't understand his point. Ask to see how many of them doing buying and selling or are self employed and see disappointment.
You don't need university first degree to be able to sell pepper not to talk of master degree. Why would you spend many years studying to the level of master degree and at the end of the day, dragging pepper baskets with Abokis and uneducated market women? grin grin grin. You don't even deserve those degrees to begin with.
But I get it, this is a very messed up country where university graduates have turned to okada riders because of no jobs or low paying jobs everywhere. That's the only reason

As a student u hardly find jobs.. It's stated on ur visa that u can only do 20hrs and employers when they want to employ u will ask for a code to check ur work permit... 100% all employers will ask for this code and then they see 20hrs restrictions they won't further the employment. They want full time.

UK is not Nigeria where jobs are not organised. Even if it's to wash toilet u will pass recruitment process that's like bank recruitment process.

Any company that employ anyone without permit could be fine 60,000 pounds per person employed.

More also jobs for student no de.

I'm not a man, but doesn't it depend on what made him angry in the first place? Is money going to immediately cool him down every time? S3x? Cuddles? Even an apology? I'm not sure there's a blanket answer for this. A lot of people even prefer to be left alone when they're upset.

If I say no, I may be called a sIut who cannot control her sex drive. Believe it or not, I've had this conversation with someone before. I'll just follow the topic to see other people's responses
