technically.... the situation is, when u travel for studies...u show proof u have all the money u need at the embassy which includes ur tuition and upkeep money.....

.......but because the money is in naira and in a nigerian account at the time they showed it as proof and still in naira when they need it in UK ...the dangerous change in exchange caused the money in their accounts to devalue....

Make no mistake...working to pay tuition and up keep doesn't cut it..because the UK authorities only gives student 20hrs a week to work.....that cannot pay tuition let alone bills and other survival expense...

Still...their protest is complete nonsense and uncalled for....a smokescreen actually

I'm a bit confused, sorry if I sound ignorant. But these people look mature in age. Like late twenties early thirties, mid-thirties even. How does the economic crisis in Nigeria affect them? Do they depend on their Nigerian relatives to send them money for schooling? They can't get jobs in the UK then? If I hadn't seen their pictures I would have assumed they were teenagers or people in their early 20s. Or they don't have time to get jobs because their schoolwork is so time consuming? So long as you follow requirements you can definitely work on a student visa, even if it's just during vacations or just on-campus

Definitely. If you spend too much time online you start getting jaded and believing the world is bleaker than it really is. There are people in marriages filled with love and consideration, loyalty and peace. Don't believe everything the internet shoves in your face. I promise you, lots of people are doing fine. Just choose well and you can do fine too. This is why I make sure I don't spend too much time online. The world is much brighter than social media makes it appear. You'll be fine.

This kind of stuff is what gives us such a bad reputation. Why will you immigrate to another country and descend into lawlessness? Look how hard it is for Nigerians to travel to other countries. Why can't we be known for good? Drug trafficking is turning into our staple. RituaI kiIIings too. Prostitution. A lot of people have a twisted view of marriage and view it as a military dictatorship. I believe the husband is the head of the home, that's obvious. And the prime decisionmaker. But a marriage isn't all about "go and do this" "yes boss". It's supposed to be a loving partnership. Which means everyone's thoughts and feelings should be taken into account. As a man, it's good to hear your wife's point of view. Unless you went ahead to marry a duIIard you should be able to get some points from her. The decision-making remains on you, but still get her opinion. If your marriage is based on love this wouldn't be a problem. And a good woman will feel valued if she was listened to, even if her advice wasn't followed. Do you get?

When I marry, my husband's opinion will take precedence over anyone else. But if I'm always shouted down and viewed as insignificant, I'd start to feel stifled. And then that's how marriages become loveless. I'm always grateful my dad values my mom to ask for her point of view on stuff. And my mom will bring any issue she has to him to hear what he has to say. It makes everything flow so smoothly. I hope my marriage is like that. Actual love.

Whether the landlord is living with them or not, as the owner of the building he's the one in charge of providing utilities to the ones paying rent, including electricity. Therefore it's his or her job to fix anything faulty. Is the tenant's name on the deed to the house? Abeg

Honestly sha, may we not marry problems. This one you're saying sef is small. My mom's stepmother scattered their home and made her dad stop supporting her through school. Also made her biological mom leave the house. My mom really suffered because of her. Either way, if you get married and have misunderstandings with your wife, don't take it out on your kids, even if they don't take your side. Learn from your dad's experiences. I refused to bear his name after the story, I had my last name changed to my father's first name. My grandma was a very bad woman who changed in her latter years. She continuously instructed her son to chase away my mom and collect the children , she had my father under her thumb for a very long time. We all grew up to despise her though. Very evil woman.

In secondary school most people are still doing trial and error in their life. His dad chose to stop him from schooling because he chose his mom's side in an argument. Gave away his properties, was petty even on his deathbed, because of something his son did in secondary school. Na baba. In fact, we suppose give am award. Most levelheaded and mature-thinking individual. He should have run for president with that kind of mentality. Me too, when I have kids, if they break one plate or come back home with any result that's not an A, I too will cut them off. This changed the trajectory of my life.

My paternal grandfather had a serious quarrel with his wife and just disliked her. My dad as an only child took side with his mother against the father and he was instantly cut off by his own father.

There was another thread made about her and everyone assumed she had gone to cheat on her husband with her secret boyfriend, with a lot of people wishing d3ath on her. Anyone who wished for her safe return was called an sIut and d3ath was also wished on them. Now it's come out she was depressed. I truly wish she hadn't seen it as the only option. RIP.
