SouthSouth1914: Nigeria is an expired entity which always dwell on “IF” all the time. If this was this and that was that, it would have been better IF Nigeria never existed!!
Buhari is the only president in Nigeria who has aligned with sheer divisiveness and ethnic bigotry! Even to his brothers the Shia Muslims!! Considering your"IF" - Would Nigeria not have been better "IF" The south were not part of it? |

B1ak3: I don't agree. Yes he won the election. Yes he was widely supported by Nigerians both in the north and south.
However, all these are not enough for us to say he would have been a great leader.
The problem is Nigerians have really short memory. This is a man that stole funds that would have helped the common man. Used the money to enrich himself. Came back spraying the money around because he had political agenda and the same common man who was robbed in the first place said he was generous. To me that is far from being generous.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves, we do not know if Abiola would have made a good leader. I for one would agree with Fela when it comes to Abiola because he wasn't wrong about Obasanjo who came back as a civilian president and was still a thief. The fact that your candidate is not supported to be the leader of Nigeria does not mean nobody again is a good leader. |

Virginnn: Bizarre! Tall Palm Tree Growing Inside A High Tension Electric Pole In Delta
Wonder will never end. So I traveled to my country home with my parents in Delta State. The other day, was going to the farm with my grandmother. There I saw it. A disaster waiting to happen. What tickled my fancy was the fact that the electric pole is right in the middle of tbhe town. not some far away forest.
Furthermore, there is usually this annual maintenance programme by whichever agency is in charge. How come they have been missing this?
That an important electricity facility like this one can be ignored speaks volume about our mentality as a people.
Here, calling on bloggers and the various news agencies to publicise this till it gets to the authorities in charge.
Note: this eyesore is located at the end of Ikpamaku Street, Adeje Town in Okpe LGA of Delta State. Wadoooo... Since we have electric fish, this must be electric palm. |
