CrimeRe: Doctor Arrested For Trying To Resuscitate Someone That Committed Suicide by luluman: 6:11pm On May 16, 2019
babecode:
My brother, a medical doctor, along with two onlookers were detained for trying to help resuscitate a young man whp committed sucide yesterday.

The police have him held for no reason; they named them suspects, and asked them to write statements without a reason for their detainment.

What sort of country are we living in abeg? The message the police is sending is that when you see a dying person you best let him be, or else, you help at your peril. The Nigeria Police Force is a problem that needs serious solutions.

We need to hear the police version before judging. Hope your brother was not trying to mutilate the dead body for some reasons. We have seen a lot in Nigeria o.

TravelRe: 29,723 Nigerian Immigrants In The U.S. ‘overstayed’ In 2018 by luluman: 2:01pm On May 16, 2019
chimjoshjuan:
A new report revealed that 29,723 Nigerian immigrants in the US ‘overstayed’ in 2018, after arriving as non-immigrants through the air or sea port of entry (POE).The report titled: “The fiscal Year 2018 Entry/Exit Overstay Report", shows the numbers and rate of expected departures of foreigners, who arrived in the United States as non-immigrants.

195,785 Nigerians who were given visas into the US, were expected to leave ”within the above window.” However  Nigeria had 15.18 per cent rate of overstay, and a suspected ‘In-Country Overstay’ rate of 14.81 per cent. A push further revealed that 29,723 Nigerian immigrants in the US ‘overstayed’ in 2018 (No departure record for 29,004 immigrants; while only 719 travellers left the country after their visas expired).

On the other hand, Djibouti, a small Africa country, has the highest rate of visa overstay immigrants at 180; with 403 expected departures. The numbers translate to 44.67 per cent and a Suspected In-Country Overstay rate of 43.92 per cent.

The Biafran activists didn't attack people who chose to come out in the previous sit at homes, so why would they do it now?
Because they behave irrational when any matter includes Other tribes or Buhari or Nigeria.

You dont get it: you have the right not to come out if you dont want to, the warning is for your brothers to allow others that want to do their normal outing on the said date to have their way & not attack them.

Awesome one lad! These are the ones we should focus on and encourage. We should learn to celebrate hardworking people who struggle against the odds to make something for themselves not mediocres who scheme, cheat and cut corners like Nigerian politicians (Gandollar comes to mind) and corrupt public servants (awon sars). Well done lad... keep the flag flying high.
And some of our leaders who shamelessly display their sex act for the world to see.

This manner of execution should also apply to Yahoo boys and their sympathizers.

I will gladly dance to the sound of their cries as it fills the air. Drink wine from their skulls and use their bones as drumsticks for exorcism.
And same execution goes for people that use human parts to drink & drum. QED

- Nwobodo made the assertion while celebrating his 79th birthday in Enugu

Former governor of old Anambra state, Senator Jim Nwobodo has called for Igbo presidency in 2023, saying “Nigeria will not know peace until an Igbo becomes president.”

Nwobodo made this assertion during his 79th birthday celebration which took place in Enugu, Vanguard reports.

He, however, also called on Ndigbo to come together and support any body that is doing well to represent the south-east.

He also urged the judiciary to discharge their duties with justice saying that it’s only the judiciary that can prevent the country from collapsing.

He hailed Enugu state governor, Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who he noted has brought politicians together in the state in peace.

Speaking at the event, the president-general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo, described Ugwuanyi as a governor whose leadership knows no boundary.

He said that Ugwuanyi does not discriminate among political parties because he treats everybody equally.

Nwodo who was the chairman of the occasion, said that Ugwuanyi would not say because one is not a member of his political party and for this reason will discriminate against him to deny him his due.

He said that since Ugwuanyi came to power, he has united the people of the state and this has brought peace to the state.

Prominent Nigerians at the event includes Chief Dubem Onyia, former minister of foreign affairs; Chief Osita Chidoka, former minister of aviation; Barth Nnaji, former minister of power; Chief Ike Ekweremadu, Deputy Senate President; Chief Frank Ogbewu, former minister of culture, amongst others.
