The thing is, the rover 75 looks so grand and yet is in price range of circa 3000pounds.
which is about my budget. I dont think i could get something that is so classy in that range.
except i am looking in the wrong places.
advice on other worthwile models in that price range will be much appreciated.

cos i am thinking of buying and sending one over. but if the price in nigeria is just a little more expensive (maybe 200k)
i would rather save myself the time and the stress of purchase, conversion, shipping and clearing.

I guess apple is basing their market strategy on their fan base. but there is a limit to the extent
consumers will go. it truly is no big upgrade, and i seeing that the hype about the 3GS was not as
high as the 3G same time last year, i guess iphone fanatics are beginning to feel played.
If only the Nokia 5800 was worth its salt, it would have been a worthy competitor.
hope Nokia don't make utter crap of the N97. its been too long in the works. an area i am particularly
displeased is their use of resistive screens. we don't need handwriting recognition do we?

hell no! even if MTN runs CONSISTENTLY at 1mbps (ie 125KBp/s) which rarely happens and only at some nights, it means the most you can download after 2 hours is 900mb, less than a gig.



if you had a 3mbps DSL, FiOS or Cable link then you can get 2gigs in an hour or less; but not with MTN's HSDPA link which is simply horrible.

during the christmas last year, mtn was really fast. i once downloaded 4 episodes of true blood (550mb each) between 1 and 4am. so thot it was still as good. got mine in 2 hours cos i have a 2mbps dsl connection. thot you were in the UK too?

Nokia N97's coming out soon. So will the Palm Pre. The Next gen iPhone should be announced at WWDC next month, and here Microsoft is promisin to announce a new product line with very impressive specs (i.e 256MB RAM + Nvidia's Tegra GPU).

After toying with the 5800, i must say resistive screens are just not my thing. so i might just have to pass on that phone.

I own both phones. and after a week the 5800 feels like just another s60 phone.

@ gamine, you CANNOT side step. its a 3D game but the fights take place in 2D they ditched the usual sidestepping of tekken n the rest.

@ koreka, you should say more about the car. be it full options or leather seats or automatic
transmission because a similar looking 1.8 Gli manual transmission, fabric seats
goes for 3.350 million naira in globe motors in Abuja. so the 'negotiable@' is not much of a thing
that will interest people passing through Nairaland.
But if yours has something that the regular ones sold here do not have, you will get more positive
responses.
