Who told you such?

Abortion bans and forced abortions both toe the same line of not allowing women have a say if they get to keep their kids or not. That's what the Democrats fight for. A woman's right to choose. The same democrats will still fight forced abortions because it is still against women's rights.

NB: Almost all abortions take place when the fetus is not developed and does not feel any pain. Research has proven such.
The bolded is the salient aspect. And because it's unanswerable, we're now being distracted about the viability of a fetus!

UN secretary-general calls on Nigeria to investigate report of forced abortions

(Reuters) -United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on Nigerian authorities to investigate allegations of systemic and coerced abortions reportedly perpetrated by the Nigerian army, U.N spokesman Stephane Dujarric said on Friday.

Reuters reported on Wednesday that the Nigerian Army has run a secret, systematic and illegal abortion programme in the country’s northeast since at least 2013.

The programme involved terminating at least 10,000 pregnancies among women and girls, many of whom had been kidnapped and raped by Islamist militants, according to dozens of witness accounts and documentation reviewed by Reuters.

“The Secretary-General takes note with concern of the allegations of systemic and coerced abortions reportedly perpetrated by the Nigerian Army against women and girls who had already been victimized by Boko Haram,” Dujarric said in an email to Reuters.

He called for a thorough investigation and “immediate remedial actions and accountability measures,” if such measures were necessary.

“We call on the Nigerian authorities to fully investigate these allegations and make sure there’s accountability,” Dujarric told reporters later on Friday.

A U.S. State Department spokesperson said the Biden administration was “deeply troubled.”

“Our embassy in Abuja is seeking further information, including from the government of Nigeria and stakeholders working in this space,” the spokesperson said. “We have encouraged the government of Nigeria to take the allegations seriously and to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation, and we will continue to do so.”

Nigeria’s defence chief said on Thursday the military will not investigate the report, saying it was not true. The Nigerian government has not responded publicly to the story.

Nigeria’s Information Minister Lai Mohammed could not immediately be reached for comment on the U.N. call for an investigation.

Ratel Service Life Extension Programme (SLEP)

Travelling to and on the Combat Training Centre completed the reliability testing of the new engine, transmission, transfer case and cooling system of the Ratel SLEP, OTT Solutions said. Testing of the new sighting and navigation systems fitted to the existing Ratel SLEP 20 turret, as well as other new platform subsystems, will be completed early next year.

The Chairman of OTT Solutions and previous SA Army chief, retired General Gilbert Ramano, commented at the completion of Exercise Vuk’uhlome that “the Ratel SLEP is a cost-effective mechanism to keep the Ratel fleet and force readiness at acceptable operational readiness levels specifically within the current budget constraints. This SLEP should assist in possible decisions in terms of Project Hoefyster”.

The OTT Group has years of experience remanufacturing Ratel infantry combat vehicles and developed the self-funded Ratel SLEP project through its subsidiary ADG Mobility together with sister company OTT Solutions.

Primary focus was on the engine and transmission, which shifts to a commercial off the shelf 360 hp engine coupled to a six-speed automatic gearbox. A new single speed transfer case completes the driveline upgrades, which are protected by a new cooling system.

OTT Solutions claims the SLEP upgrade provides a 30% increase in available engine power, in a lighter and smaller powerpack, and most importantly is maintainable from readily available commercial parts.

Additional platform upgrades include the addition of applique add on armour; the upgrade and replacement of obsolete components on the braking and pneumatic systems; addition of crew compartment insulation (against fumes, noise and heat); new generation military grade tyres; and a new seating arrangement.

The Ratel SLEP retains the in-service GI2 20 mm automatic cannon, but ‘huge’ improvements are offered in first round accuracy by means of a partially stabilised and electrically assisted gun drive system. Coupled to this is a full day/night gunner sighting system with laser rangefinder and an independent commander’s fully stabilised sight. This enables the two-man (gunner/commander) crew to have the capability to engage/observe/track/designate targets.

This makes sense as a corruption-backed purchase as the platform makes no practical sense, I mean try boarding a foe vessel with this, I don't see it happening. They could have acquired proper platforms at Damen Africa or Paramount Group, I mean even Chinese ships could have been a better deal.... But I guess greasing hand palms works best.

As for Angola, that's the capital city for SADC corruption, another perfect destination for Privinvest.

But your chart hasn't proven otherwise. No major military equipment were captured from the Nigerian army since January this year...
The PR is for them jihadists to appear still in good shape, but the military messed them up this year...they never had it this bad, more than 20k surrender, many deaths.

They had to wait this long to bring out this PR grin grin

They were messed up from leadership down to their foot soldiers.
I wasn't trying to prove anything otherwise.
According to the resource I use, there were 264 events involving the military and terrorists, in North east Nigeria from 01 Jan to 25 Nov.
These include ambushes etc, where it is certainly possible at least that Proforce Ara was taken.
I am not going to click on everyone of those, but I'll screenshot just 1 dot, so you get the gist of the info available.

wrong no attack last month I don't think we've had any attack on us since the beginning of operation Desert/lake sanity
The most recent successful operation was in chad and they killed 35 chadians i heard they attacked again
When they attacked troops guarding an IDP camp we retaliated with airstrikes destroying 3-4 vehicles and killing a Top commander
This same group you posted tried to attack our army base in Warjiro but as usual 20+ plus neutralised including the commanders that were with them one of the vehicles destroyed another captured
It seems the airforce trailed the escapees but no update from them
What resource do you use for your data? My company uses ACLED and we're always on the lookout for something better.
The pic below shows the results when I filter for only terrorist v army attacks. I then added a 2nd filter with air/drone/artillery/IED explosions.
As you can see, the date commences fro 01 Jan, and when on the system clicking on any of the dots gives you a description of the incident, and the source of the information.

Lessons in Conventional Warfighting: Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine

The full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine which started on 24 February 2022 has provided an invaluable opportunity to assess the capabilities of the Russian armed forces, as well as study the implications of recent technological change on modern warfare. Many publicly available judgements on these issues have lacked supporting data, and public insight into Ukrainian operational planning and decision-making has been limited. To ensure that those drawing lessons from the conflict do so from a solid foundation, the authors of the new report will outline key lessons, based on the operational data accumulated by the Ukrainian General Staff from the fighting between February and July 2022.

The report seeks to provide an in-depth assessment of the Russian armed forces and their military campaign, as well as provide lessons for the British and other NATO militaries, with a particular focus on artillery, logistics, pervasive ISTAR and precision effects.

Authors Lieutenant General Mykhaylo Zabrodskyi, Oleksandr V Danylyuk, Dr Jack Watling and Nick Reynolds will summarise their findings and experiences.
