Travel / Re: Do Nigerian International Airports Have Free Wi-fi? Pls Narrate by lutheran(m): 6:20pm On Dec 10, 2023
I am surprised by comments here, as it seems to come from individuals who have not left their village. While I cannot speak for all airports in Nigeria, I can share my personal experience at the Lagos old international airport. Yesterday, I was able to use the FAAN Wifi to update some of my apps and browse the internet for a while. I have also used the FAAN Wifi in front of the new Lagos international airport on multiple occasions. Although it can be slow at times, it has served its purpose whenever I needed to connect to the wifi. I remember advising a friend who was coming from abroad to stay in front of the new international airport and connect to the wifi so he could communicate with me on WhatsApp upon arrival. He followed my instructions and was able to contact me when he landed. Additionally, I have used free wifi at both MM1 and MM2, the local airports in Lagos. Therefore, it is incorrect to say that all Nigerian airports do not have free wifi.

Your story and the history you are referring to are lies. Your tribe is known for being deceitful, and you are only saying this to cover up your lies. If you are so confident, refer to any old news or history book that supports your claims. You people always play the victim, no Yoruba man has ever referred to Lagos as no man’s land. Your tribe is known for twisting words and giving them different meanings.

I can see that even with your response, it is quite evident which part of the country you come from. However, it is important to note that your statement about them not voting is false. They do participate in the voting process. It seems like they are playing the victim card instead. I won’t stoop down to your level and engage in insults with you. It is clear that you are upset, and I sincerely hope you find peace.

We will also consider sending your troublesome brothers and sisters who falsely claim to own 80% of Lagos. They are causing disturbances here in Lagos. It wouldn’t be a terrible idea to send them to you so they can contribute to developing your underdeveloped village. If they truly believe they are the ones responsible for developing Lagos, then they should be able to develop your village as well.

This is why it is important for you all to have some understanding. The Yoruba people in the eastern region are living peacefully and maintaining proper behavior. Have you seen any Yoruba individuals referring to any part of the east as a no man’s land, like some of your fellow brothers and sisters do in Lagos? It is quite disrespectful to call Lagos a no man’s land. If your brothers can maintain good behavior and respect their hosts, there would be no need for anyone to ask them to return to their villages if they cannot live in peace with their hosts.

Politics / Osun Assembly Congratulates Adeleke, Orders Status Quo On LG Administration by lutheran(m): 8:50am On Nov 30, 2022
The State of Osun House of Assembly has congratulated the newly sworn in Governor of the State, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

The Assembly late Tuesday at a plenary presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye, responded to recent events in the state, saying the legislative arm is saddled with the responsibility of law making, only disagreed with the Governor on matters of law.

Owoeye while briefing members of the Assembly on the outcome of the private meeting he held with Governor Adeleke earlier in the day stated that there now exist a mutual understanding that the house will be carried along on matters that concerns the legislature.

On the issue of LG administration, Rt. Hon. Owoeye informed the plenary of a notice of appeal against the decision of a Federal High Court judgment served on the 7th Assembly.

The House thereby resolves that the issue of Local Government administration should be left to the court of law, ordering a status quo on all Local Government administration pending the exhaustion on all legal means.

Owoeye while thanking his colleagues for their service and steadfastness to the State said

"When Aregbesola took over the mantle of leadership in 2010, the PDP controlled local government was still in place and the status quo remained. Nobody dissolved the local government until all legal processes were completed." The Speaker emphasized.

Politics / MC Oluomo Introduces Barcodes In Parks, Garages To Stop Crime, Kidnapping by lutheran(m): 12:33am On Oct 07, 2022
The Chairman of Lagos State Parks and Garages, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya (Aka MC Oluomo), has announced the introduction of the Bar Code to checkmate untoward activities among some commercial bus drivers.

According to him, the initiative will curb kidnappings and other criminal activities perpetrated by some commercial bus drivers.

Akinsanya said the issue of insecurity is a major concern to everybody and as stakeholders in the transportation sector, the agency cannot fold its arms and allow charlatans to turn their garages and parks into criminal hideouts.

Our goal is to leverage technology to detect some criminal elements using our parks and garages to perpetrate crimes. We want to make our parks and garages as safe as possible. We will make the them hell for anyone with criminal intention,” he said.

He warned leaders of various parks and garages to weed out criminal-minded elements in their domains else would be held responsible for their actions.

Speaking on how the Bar Code works, Lagos State Parks and Garages Secretary, Comrade Olayiwola Lemboye, said commuters would download an app and scan the bar code on buses to confirm if they are safe for boarding.

Once you scan the bar code on any bus, it will bring out certain information about the park or garage for commuters to determine if the bus is safe for boarding or not. For those who usually forget their ‘loads’ in the bus, the code will help passengers recollect the vehicle’s number plate and trace it to the park or garage such the vehicle operates from.

“We’re using this medium to urge the public to try as much as possible to key into this project because the bar code will assist in curbing the cases of kidnapping, theft and other societal vices people perpetrated with public buses. We are urging the public to just give us the benefit of the doubt on this project and key into it. It is for the good of all,” Lemboye said.

Mr Isaiah Arowolo from Dotmatech Technologies Limited, a firm handling the installation of the bar codes, said over 20,000 buses have been registered into a central database.

Arowolo said: “We have generated the QR code sticker for the 20,000 buses registered and the number is increasing daily. How does it work? We have a unique QR code sticker which will be on each bus; the commuters will download the app from the Playstore or Apple iOS. When they scan the code on the bus, information will be given to them on that particular vehicle including its number plate and the name of the secretary of the branch of that park or garage. The reason for that is just for them to have the history of the car or vehicle they board in a month or in a week or daily so that they can fall back to it and after one month.”

Gov. Rauf Aregbesola of Osun has approved the release of N797 million take-off grant for the 31 newly created Local Council Developments Areas (LCDAs), Area Councils and Administrative Offices in the state.

In a statement issued Sunday in Osogbo by his media aide, Mr Semiu Okanlawon, the governor also approved stabilisation funds for the 30 existing local government areas in the state.

Aregbesola gave the break down as N15 million to each of the 31LCDAs; N9 million to each of the 3 Area Councils and N5 million to each of the 2 Administrative Offices

He said N10 million would be given to each of the 30 Local Government areas as stabilisation fund.

He urged the leadership of LCDAs and LGAs to ensure rapid development of the state, which, according to him, “is the main objective of the creation of the council areas” .

Gov. Aregbesola had on March 8, announced the creation of 31 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), in addition to the existing 30 Local Government Areas in the state.

The governor, in a state-wide broadcast in Osogbo, had also announced the creation of three Area Councils and Two Administrative offices.

Catch D Fun!!!

Your shoe size can tell your age.

Grab your calculator and try this: Here is
how it goes;
1. Take your shoe size.
2. Multiply it by 5.
3. Add 50.
4. Multiply by 20.
5. Add 1015
6. Minus the year you were born. You
will get 4 digits, the first 2 is your shoe
size and the second is your age.
Try it and lets see if am correct.
Leggoo!!
thank God , I don't know ma shoe size, only buy shoe that fit me, don't care to know the size

Do that and i will be the first one to slaughter you. I ain't even kidding. But why will you wanna commit an act of instigation and expect not to be attacked? I have never seen a group so afraid of muslims like the christians. They will come to the internet and spew vermin like they are ready for the third world war, but light up a firecracker near them and see how they scramble like coacroches. If you think all muslims are terrorists, what then does it change on the muslims. If on the other hand you have so much hatred for muslims(because of you of a wierd abnomality that you have), then i suggest you go to any muslim community near you and try what you listed above. If however you are genuinly concerned with differentiating muslims and criminal elements, then i would say i understand your concern as it is not easy, because as i type this, i can't see a kanuri man and not be afraid. The first thing to come to my mind is that he might be hiding some explosives somewhere, but still that doesn't mean all kanuris are terrorists. So you too have a right to be concerned, but this is not the way to show your concern. If that is the case, all Niger deltans are potential militants too, all igbos are potential seccesionists too, all christians are potential sodomists and terrorists too (remember LRA, IRA, David Koresh, KKK) because all of them were christians who knew the bible back and front and felt the bible gave them the right to kill, maim, descriminate, take slaves, sodomize young boys e.t.c So you see, there is better way of showing concern when a whole group of people are concerned. I don't feel i have to apologize to anybody because i am a muslim, and i don't regret being a muslim. But atleast to nullify the concerns of brothers of different faiths, i think more muslims should stand firm in condemning terrorism, protest against it, lunch t.v programms sorely preaching against terrorism and e.t.c That i believe will help rather than abuse and counter abuse, instigations and counter instigations.
