I just pray southern Nigeria gets out of this befitting burial act someday.
In the north, we don't keep corpses for more than a day in most cases. My dad's late wife passed away around 6:20pm one Friday evening, and we buried her around 9:00pm that same day. At no cost.
Such huge amount of money coild have been used for something better for the living.
Whoever is dead, is dead. And that is final for them. |

She is your mom. Go easy on her. Help her when you can.
One advice I will give you, and any other person you share such problems with is: 1. They're the only family you've got. Even though they act very bad, please don't sever ties with them. However, you shouldn't be stupid either. Help them with what you can, at any time, and in a manner that doesn't make you feel bad.
2. When you have a wife and kids, please be that adult to them that you had wanted for yourself but couldn't get. Be a good man to them, let your life not be like your mom's in any way.
May God help you. |

If all the youths in the North die off, won't you feel lonely? I thing we better channel our energy into decimating them. The North is just too big. Too big |

Will the Federal government be able to come to states aid at all times?

Even here in the core North, female students face these problems.
One of my lecturers from a college of education was caught pants down by DSS officers. The married lady had played ball with him, unknowingly she had reported him to the DSS and they rigged her cloth with some mini transmission devices.
I learned the judgement he was served was to abstain from office completely. He continued with his job, but no longer has an office. |

micxwell: The information your write-up passed across especially where you mentioned your mum was that, since people had died as a result of Sickle Cell Disease in your in-laws family; their genes are responsible for your nephew/niece's predicament. It's actually not so. Whether the family has had cases of death due to Sickle Cell or not; if two couples with matching AS genotypes come together the chance remains. The families of both my mom and dad, all of whom I know very well, never had a case of SCD, let alone die, but definitely the S trait runs in their family. But the truth remains that both or one of my parents is/are carrier of the S trait. My mom has little understanding of such things, hence her utterances. |

micxwell: You interpreted the family history wrongly though. Even if people had died in any of both families as a result of Sickle Cell diseases, marrying someone who is not a carrier will definitely cancel it all out. That family you mentioned up there are just plain ignorant and prolly stubborn🤷 Family history wrongly? Please elaborate |

This doesn't mean you're weak or lazy, but the strength in you isn't enough to carry what's on ground at a go
Evolution has it that people develop these sickle cell disease genes as a natural way of being immune to malaria. Mosquito bites and malaria are related are the disease. |

Serendipity2023: The new girl I met requested to come and then leave for work from my house the next day, I obliged her. Few moments after her arrival, she became quiet. She looked pensive and moody.
She requested for alcohol and I gave her Smirnoff. She demanded for something stronger; I now offered Origin bitters.
She recoiled into her shell, her eyes were misty if not teary.
She was lost in thoughts about the past, it was obvious. "What could be the issue?", I muttered to myself.
She didn't want to talk and asked to be left alone.
I was worried because I had prepared my manhood for intimacy. I can't seem to get enough of that tight womanhood down there. So I didn't want any mood swings.
I prodded further and she said our discussion earlier brought back sad memories.
"Which discussion was that?"
"The genotype", she answered.
I now remembered she jolted me in the afternoon when she inquired of my Genotype.
I am AS. And I told her so.
I now remembered that I have checked this genotype at 4 different hospitals, 4 different occasions just to be sure there isn't any errors.
Because there had been cases of people thinking they were AA only to discover they were AS after giving birth to SS kids.
Some equally rejected AS spouses in the false belief that they themselves were AS.
"I have missed five men because of this",she continued. "This is the reason why I am not yet married," she added. It was painful to watch her in that mood.
Few ours earlier she was basking in the euphoria of having met a prince charming, a lover who would wipe away her tears and walk down the isle.
These hopes just got shattered. Not like I had promised to marry her shaa. But you know women and fantasy.
I comforted her.
Research suggests there are more AA genotype than others. But my personal experience is different.
I have met more AA girls. But all the girls I ever liked were AS.
This is an impediment of some sorts for some of us. But we aren't ready for this discussion yet. ➖➖➖➖➖
We still made love later because I needed to give her some natural sleeping pills.
I must add that no two women taste same. This girl has a very tight womanhood, that contracts to grip my manhood.
Her womanhood drives me crazy. This is how some women lose their husbands. Just pray your husband doesn't meet her type as a side chick.
The topic of genotype is a very complicated one. Don't forget a union between two AS genotypes has only 25% chance of birthing a child with SS, 25% AA and 50% AS. It's not as bad as many think it is. But family history is also a very important factor, I learned. My elder sister has a child wuth SS genotype (her second kid). She now has four kids - three of which are healthy. The issue sparked alot of trouble at our house that prompted me to do the test myself, and I turned out to be AS. With this result and my little understanding of genetics, I concluded that our parents are both AS. None of my siblings is sick and neither of our parents are sick. We're all healthy. Upon further investigation, I found out that three of my elder sister's husband relatives died of sickle cell disease, and some are alive battling the disorder. To sum the story, to this day my mom never believe that there are carriers in our house. She blames the other family of the disease - not understanding the biology behind it. Family history matters ALOT. |

I thinks its not an issue. Depending on where you stay, if the place is a good neighborhood, you should let the child be sent on errands. This will boost his self esteem right from childhood and also make him more responsible. Otherwise, you know what to do best.
Avoid the habit of making children disobey their mothers. You and the mum should have a chat on the issue. |

For a lady of this age - 30, I pray you find love and settle down soonest.

These young adults are going crazy with their dress sense, on campus..
Go to campuses, you would all manner of nudity; no bra with nipples visible, bum shorts, rimmed jeans, crazy tattoos and hairstyles, etc..
I know understand how desperate we are, to be like the west; social liberty and all. But the danger in the nearest future (knowing fully well, how we do things in excess), would be so devastating/catastrophic... And the only thing we copy from the west is their indecent mode of dressing that many of them don't even care about, their LGBTQ lifestyle, the expensive things they use and wear. Imagine a person buying a phone of over half a million naira only to WhatsApp, Facebook and take pictures. Their knowledge and several other good things aren't our concern.
