One does not really know what to believe in this country anymore, too much lies flying up & down, especially from 'Comical Lai'. |
Temysteve:And the contribution of the same MTN to our rebased economy under GEJ is the parameter that the APC govt is presenting as a surety to creditors for the mega loans they intend taking to fund 2016 budget. Penalising defaulting firms did not start with Buhari & will not end with him. Blaming GEJ for every ill in our coperate nation by Buhar's regime is an expression of irresponsibility. |
Booked my flight to front page, anyhow. |
disloman:Calm down, Vanguard is quoting figures from our budget office. |
jmaine:Na ban abi na holidays....longest time, we missed you oo. ![]() |
HiddenShadow:And N36 billion to look for oil in lake Chad basin when the world is faced with an oil glut and you cannot even get buyers for the ones being drilled currently. Imagine! |

Stupidity is when the future of the youths of this country is being mortgaged through debts (At least $9 billion next year) and no structure is being put on ground to generate income to service and repay those debts tomorrow, rather it's being used for a dubious welfare package that will be embezzled through public bureaucracy and the youths of this country appear docile. In the medium term expenditure frame work, at least 25 per cent budget deficit for 2 or 3 years in a 70 per cent recurrent(salaries and entitlements) budget will leave this country with an additional N6 trillion($30 billion) debt and we will be back to 90's and early 2000's era (spending 30 per cent of our budget servicing debts) despite the fact that we had less over head then compared to now. This is a clarion call to the national assembly to save the future of Nigerian youths, my own kids inclusive, from perpetual debt slavery and Greece experience by cutting down this budget deficit to at least 3 - 5 per cent, Saudi Arabia is doing so, Nigeria should do so. |
xreal:Won't suggest that for starters unless you want to keep replacing clutch plates. Auto is easier for starters. |
Automatic transmission is the better option considering the harsh working and driving environment we live in. Manual transmission is cheaper to maintain (though with it's own expenses with burnt clutch covers and clutch discs) but will add to work and traffic stress in Lagos and Nigeria driving. For longer life of the driver (which paramount)- Automatic For cheaper transmission maintenance - Manual. |
The sheer crass stupidity of these APC political sycophants stinks to the high heavens. What is Goodluck Jonathan's concern that MTN did not pay the money they were hoping to use for their scam welfare package? |
beejaybida:The navigation disc inside your navigation system at upper part of your booth is bad, may need to replace it. |
Good, comfortable & reliable ride, but the shocks with comfort sensors take style cost. But you can switch it with the KYB excel-G. Aside that, very good SUV. |
Reyginus:Nigeria is not a secular state, the word secular does not even appear in our constitution, Nigeria is a multi-religious state and a sharia state in such a republic does not contradict anything, my point is with true federalism, proponents of sharia or whatever can do so at their regional levels, if investors deem it fit with their sharia set up to bring investments to them, they thrive, anything contrary to it, they hunger. |
Reyginus:And you are missing my point, no one imposes sharia law on anybody in UAE, if they do, the country will be desolate in1 yr. |
Reyginus:Alcoholics are sold in 3, 4 & 5 star hotels in UAE. It also prohibits prostitution, but there shakmuths all over the country. |
MalcoImX:If you cannot give me huge money, then give me a level playing ground with others. Try running a 100 meters race with your opponent starting from the 50 meters mark. |
Realist2:Am beginning to loose confidence in buhari if he spent 6 months to dig up liars as ministers and he is gradually converting the millitary into a lying institution. Buahariiiii oooo! |
Reyginus:Yes investors consider such things and the major prosperous Emirates in UAE (Dubai and Abu-Dhabi) have Sharia laws but do not impose such on others. |
Reyginus:Yes it can, the reason why that madness remains so is because they know that after every thrash, their commissioner of finance will go to Abuja month end to pick their monthly cheque of N2 billion, so they can continue. Ask yourself, did you hear of such nonsense in the late 50's and early sixties till Gowon created the 12 states that is 36 today with 26 of them leprous parasites. |
Reyginus:Yes, regionalism can and will stop it, because every law you make and actions taken by the people will determine the level of investments that comes to it. If you impose offensive laws and turn violent, investors from within and outside looks elsewhere and because everybody will be busy with themselves, nobody will have any 'dash' to give you and you, your elders and your people will be forced to have a rethink before trying any nonsense to avoid chronic hunger. |
MalcoImX:Soyinka and Achebe are products of individual hard work and perseverance, Dangote was given N500,000 ($650,000 then) by a 'wealthy' uncle. |
noblezone:They can merge among themselves and form larger zones than fragmented dysfunctional states. |
noblezone:Noble listen to me, ndi-Igbo is the only tribe in Nigeria that has the most all round advancement with nothing like federal help and will continue to do so, rising from the ashes of a war ravaged zone to becoming champions of commerce and industry today, so much so that the second lingual-franca in banking halls today is Igbo and all that from 20 pounds each 45yrs ago. Buhari is taking loan of $2.1 to rebuild Northeast destroyed by North-easterners themselves and the Igbos were left to rise from ashes of the destruction of the civil inflicted by 'vandals' like Obasanjo and Danjuma. By nature, Igbos are wealth creators and managers and will continue to be so, at a point in time, my Yoruba kith & kin will realize that Tinubu is misleading them and will return to the core agitations of the likes of OPC and Afenifere after they must have seen the futility of APC change that returned Nigeria to the Fulani's, which is same thing as what Igbos are asking for, a true federation. |
meccuno:Then they should form a conditional merger with the working ones. |
I pray so, but something tells that this Chibok girls issue will eventually be an albatross on this Buhari administration. |
MalcoImX:Maybe not 1%, but the picture he painted is very true, my son was a victim of that. |
United Arab Emirates is a country of seven independent Emirates (Kingdoms) loosely fused together to form a geo-political nation called U.A.E. The Emirates are Abu-Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjar, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al-Khaima & Umm al-Quwain. Every Emirate(Kingdom) is governed by an absolute monarch or Sheikh(Al-Maktoum for Dubai, Zayeed for Abu-Dhabi etc.) and they maintain their sovereignty absolutely with every Emirate having it's own police, fire service, immigrations, Economic departments etc generating income for itself, the only thing controlled by Abu-Dhabi the capital is the armed forces. Every Emirate makes it's own laws based on it's uniqueness and others mutually respect it. The seven Sheikhs(Kings of the kingdoms) form the Federal Supreme Council that chooses the head of state from one of the seven and as it is now, the Sheikh of Abu-Dhabi is the current head of state and the Sheikh of Dubai is the vice president with the Sheikh of Sharjar as defence minister. The autonomy of the Emirates is preserved by it's independent law enforcement and such a set up is the only workable alternative for Nigeria that can guarantee the individual aspirations of various Nigeria segment. |
Dedetwo:Which one be vandals again? |
