I wish countinho will play if not for his injury. The trio combination of sturridge , suarez and countinho would have been deadly and would have wrecked havoc on southampton..

JMOI: Manchester United's performance so far this season

...The 2012-13 EPL season also saw the retirement of the world’s longest-serving club manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, from Manchester United after winning the 13th league title in his 27-year stint at the Old Trafford outfit. Before leaving, though, he handpicked his successor at the club and it was his long-time friend and protegee, Everton’s David Moyes.

Five games into the campaign (and on the back of a desperately poor preseason), Moyes’ United has looked like a toothless, spineless version of Ferguson’s United. It’s basically the same team with the same players as the one that was handed over to him by Sir Alex, but his approach is slightly different from that of his predecessor. But he has so far failed to convince us that it is the best possible approach for the club.

United’s topsy-turvy performance this season culminated in last Saturday’s 4-1 humiliation at the hands of bitter rivals and noisy neighbours, Manchester City. Getting past City (and Chelsea) has become such an onerous task for Man Utd. in recent seasons and it goes to show just how far they’ve fallen back behind those rivals in terms of quality. The only saving grace for them is that they’ve been able to do the job against weaker opponents – an area where their rivals have often failed.

If Manchester United should harbour any hope of successfully defending their league title this season, they have no option, but to improve their record against Chelsea and Manchester City.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Manchester United Vs Liverpool Capital One Cup (1 - 0) On 25th September 2013 by luvola(op): 1:54am On Sep 23, 2013
Manchester United will host bitter rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford in Round 3 of the Capital One Cup on Wednesday, September 25.

United and Liverpool are coming off agonizing defeats to Manchester City and Southampton, respectively, with both clubs desperate to redeem themselves in midweek.

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s Manchester derby, Wayne Rooney told reporters: “City have had their success recently, but I would probably say that United and Liverpool is still the biggest game.

“They’re all big games, but obviously United and Liverpool has been a massive game over the years. I’d say it’s still the biggest game.”

After a 4-1 defeat at the Etihad Stadium, Rooney and co. must bounce back in a big way against the Merseysiders on Wednesday.

Team News

For Liverpool, Luis Suárez is availabe for selection after serving a 10-match ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic last season, while Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho has been ruled out for at least a month with a shoulder injury.

On the other side of the touchline, Phil Jones (ankle) and Rafael da Silva (hamstring) could return for the hosts. Star man Robin van Persie is doubtful due to a groin strain that kept him out of the derby match against City on Sunday.

Manager Quotes

When asked if he would start Luis Suárez at Old Trafford, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers said: “It will be something to consider. I won’t say [strikers] miss it more, but they miss it in a different way. Suarez loves the game and if he doesn’t play the game, it kills him.

“The integral part of it all is the game. That’s what he is. And if you put him in that environment where he’s smelling the smelling salts and the changing room, it can be counterproductive, so we’re going to keep him out of the way.”

Luis Suárez is 6/1 to score first on Wednesday night.

Match Facts

United are 6-1-3 in their last 10 matches against Liverpool in all competitions, including a 1-0 defeat to the Merseysiders at Anfield earlier this month.

Daniel Sturridge has scored three goals in his last four appearances against Manchester United. Subsequently, the England international is 11/4 to score anytime against the Red Devils in midweek.

Mexico international striker Javier “El Chicharito” Hernández has bagged two goals and one assist in five League Cup appearances for United since the start of 2010/11.

Politics › President Jonathan Plans 20 Million Man March Ahead Of 2015 Declaration by luvola(op): 10:21am On Sep 22, 2013
President Goodluck Jonathan and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have concluded plans to hold a 5 million man march at an October 19th rally in Abuja, according to sources. The rally will serve as a precedent for the formal declaration of the President’s desire to seek a second term in office.

The October 19th rally will be chased by a two million-man march in each of the six geopolitical zones of the country and three million-man marches in selected cities.

According to sources in the Presidency, the rallies will serve to ” kick start his (President’s) campaigns, where he will tell Nigerians of his decision to contest for a second term in office at the 2015 presidential election.

“The national solidarity march is to showcase the achievements of the president, especially the transformation agenda, and use the march as a deliberate policy to activate his support base at the grassroots.

“It is expected that the successful national solidarity marches in Abuja, the six geopolitical zones, and selected commercial cities will make it easier for President Jonathan to come out gracefully to announce his second term ambition.
“Also, the national solidarity march is aimed to demonstrate the unity within the PDP as a political party and to state categorically that the PDP is solidly behind the administration of President Jonathan, and above all, to showcase the PDP as one united family in line with the motto and slogan of the million-man march, which is ‘one party, one family.’”

According to the source all PDP stakeholders are expected to participate.

“All PDP governors, ministers, principal officers of the national and state assemblies of the PDP-controlled states, and members of the national and state assemblies and all elected officials of the party at the local government levels are expected to participate.

“The national solidarity march would have taken place before the October 19 date, but it was moved forward to enable the reconciliation of the aggrieved governors and other members to take place.”

“By October 7, it is expected that the PDP would have been one united family, hence the national solidarity march is for peace and one indivisible united Nigeria.”

source : http://www.nairacity..com/2013/09/court-dissolve-marriage-over-complaint.html

The 17-year-old marriage of Asimuyu and his wife Kehinde has been dissolved by an Oshogbo Magistrate's court in Osun over complaint by the husband that his wife beats him up mercilessly for going to church. The petitioner, Mr. Asimuyu Oladosu, told the court that his wife, Kehinde, beats him whenever he goes to church or vigil and urged the court to dissolve the marriage.

Asimuyu opined the dissolution of his marriage blessed with three children on the ground that he is tired of the marriage due to frequent beating by his wife, as well as her nagging nature. He said: “She does not go to church and whenever I go to church or vigil, she will not allow me into the house and if she does, she beats me mercilessly. And based on these facts, I want the court to dissolve this union.”

Pleading with the court not to dissolve her marriage, Kehinde admitted beating her husband, but claimed she does that only when some unknown spirits comes into her.

She pointed out that some unknown spirits push her to beat her husband, adding “what my husband said is true. I always beat him but I do not know what usually come over me whenever I did that. Some unknown spirits push me to do it. I still love my husband and I want the matter to be settled amicably. I don’t want to leave him and I promise that I will never beat him again.”

deols: OMG!

At this age and time, you have this much hatred over something GOOGlE could have helped you on?

Pilgrims PAY for their hajj and the government makes money from it.

It is only right that whatever would make the pilgrims comfortable is provided by the government. This is like a good customer service.

Some just like to rant when it is a matter of religion even when they have no idea of what is going on.
no be only customer care na after sales service. A state that could n't pay common 5000 state allowance defending that they are illiquid and in a deficit budget run could afford to buy phone to those going to mecca and you are here defending this. Smh for your ideology.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Liverpool Vs Southampton (0 - 1) On 21st September 2013 by luvola(op): 7:41pm On Sep 19, 2013
Liverpool can maintain their place at the top of the Premier League table if they are able to snatch all three points from Southampton at Anfield this weekend.

The Reds have had an unbeaten start to the season, but their 100% record came to an end courtesy of a 2-2 draw with Swansea City on Monday, with former player Jonjo Shelvey playing a part in all four of the goals during the match.

However, striker Daniel Sturridge managed to get on the scoresheet once again, bagging a goal in every single one of Liverpool's games so far this season.

Despite a strong start on the field, the Reds have been dealt an injury blow following the news that playmaker Philippe Coutinho will be sidelined until the end of October with a shoulder injury.

Iago Aspas is likely to come into the fold for manager Brendan Rodgers, while Kolo Toure could start in defence, replacing new signing Mamadou Sakho following his debut against the Swans on Monday.

Luis Suarez will be unavailable for the fixture against Southampton due to his 10-match ban for biting the arm of Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic last season, but he could be selected for Liverpool's League Cup clash against Manchester United in midweek.

For Southampton, Mauricio Pochettino's men have had a an inconsistent start to the season by recording one victory, two draws and a defeat, but goals have been hard to come by for the Saints.

The former Championship outfit struggled to break the deadlock in their goalless draw with West Ham United last Sunday, but Rickie Lambert and Pablo Osvaldo are likely to keep their places up front.

The Saints could move within the top 10 of the table if they manage to grab an away victory at Anfield.
