dru23: It is one thing to get a car for 500k Naira or less.. It is another thing to know how to maintain the car .. Nigeria or Africa as a whole, except for South African that I know of .. We lack maintenance culture.. And you know that uber and bolt riders will not tolerant cars that have issues at all ... in a situation that owner of the car will manage whatever issues the car has .. A rider will not tolerant that and will end up giving the driver a bad rating.. If the driver's rating is bad enough , he will be blocked until those issues are address.. By that time the driver has no savings in his account.. And he would end up looking for another car drive ...meaning he is now looking for a partner to get a car from ... And the circles continues and continues .. This is why car parts is a big business in Ladipo... until we change our maintenance culture , drivers will never be able to own their own cars successfully ....Most drivers can't even maintain partners cars ,so it is their own car they will now maintain? I know how much money I spend in taking care of my fleet.. Majority of owners could not do what I do .....
You are correct, if only they can look away from the popular toyota Corolla and settle for cars like kia, Hyundai, honda etc. In this venture you can make as much as 60k net income if you are prudent. You can get enough money to fix what ever issue the vehicle has. From my experience attitude gives your poor ratings rather that the state of the vehicle, so long the vehicle is kept clean and the AC is working with he right attitude towards riders your ratings wont be bad.
rawitools: House please i need a car for HP used corolla uber standard i have 300k down payment.
Y not get your own car, u can add some few more thousand and get you vehicle. Trust me it's better than delivering. Chat me I can recommend vehicles Less than 500k you can use for uber.

tunlapapa: Now this is where I draw the curtains. Your post motivated me chase 100k but I couldn't cos of too much waiting time on Saturday and I never worked beyond 6pm daily.
Good one, I knew you would be close to 100k, the weather was worrisome this week am sure you would have hit 100k. I also did about 90k total bolt and uber combined because I didn't work full day on some days. God bless our hustle.

Drivers benefit from the engagements users have on the QR Code.
For Example - A brand wants to promote their business, they contact us and we deploy their campaign to every QR Code on the system. For each unique scan, a user makes, we pay the driver who owns the QR Code a fee.
Hope this helps.
Thank you
How do you display the codes in the vehicle? What is the fee per scan?
Make I go find house for ikorodu around ibeshe to escape this 400k wey I dey pay for this yeye landlocked area spending over 3hours from my place to the real lagos.
Freshprince91: Its rugged and all but not the conventional car used for Uber /taxify. You people should learn from experiences. Someone posted here about how he bought 2008 Volkswagen passat from USA for Uber last year despising his friends warnings and the car almost made him bankrupt. Sold some of his belongings to fix car electrical issues , his deep freezer the last he sold before the wife intervened and told him to sell the car which he did at itire for 800k.
I'm battling the same situation at the moment. My Aunty got a Tokunbo Ford Mondeo 2002 in August but because she has a car, i cajoled her into giving out the Ford for a token weekly which she did. Now, I'm faced with all sorts of debts incurred from friends and family. Need i say the total cost or repair has skyrocketed to 159k (AC Compressor, Evaporator, Rear brake pads, 2 oxygen sensors, radiator hose, Tokunbo battery, 1 of the front shock absorber, new set of 4 spark plugs, complete fuel pump, screen wiper, and fuel filter) aside servicing the car with Mobil1 and Ford Mercron LV transmission oil and I haven't even driven the car for a month of taxify platform . So please don't shoot yourself in the foot, if its a weekend thing, you may give it a try but on the regular, I'll advise you to have a rethink. Despite not driving from Monday to Sunday, i have spent 20 times of what i made on taxify . Peace!
I have a vehicle I use currently Mercedes Benz c class. I created this thread after I notice I am at some advantage over the Corolla users.
I swear e worth 150k, the rider pricing 110k At all at all I go use reach 20k fuel if not more than, feeding go take like 10k + so na like 65k go be take home. One side of my mind telling me it's fair
peeps4u: May be 7 days times your average daily earning plus fuel amount that will take you to onitsha
Just don't be too greedy about it. It is a good deal as you won't be burning much fuel when u get to your destination as you do on normal day with uber
joetem: Available everywhere, ladipo, Ikeja ,and alaguntan, the blue one has not given any issue for two years now, so I will recommend anyone to go for that variant of engine, very fuel efficient and self-diagnostic display system. The other one gave me issues when I used wrong mechanic. But I learnt my lesson. Parts hardly get issues
emmancecute: Was at pelican hotel around past 12am, got a request at globus supermarket to take her within chevyview. I had wanted to link chevyview estate from the back but saw a gate that barricaded chevyview off pelican which means I'd have to go all the way to igboefon to do a u-turn then head back to Chevyview. Called rider that I can't make the trip due to so and so reasons.... the picture showed what I got but me I don't slack to give the f^ck back
Noting wrong being a taxi driver, the profession has been exist time immemorial, na 9ja ppl dey shame to identify dem self as taxi driver as for me I'm proud of it. A hustle that u can gross 100k weekly without having to kiss any oga ass abeg infact call me taxi driver again thank you. You suppose just bone the idiot na that one dey pain dem pass.
tunlapapa: Bro don't be deceived by gross that taxify displays, always check your net to determine your hustle so far. That by the way. You can Imagine being on 3% by Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday latest and you have the rest of the week to make more for yourself. But the taxify will keep you on 20% all through, deceiving you that you can make more through bonuses that are not certain. Bro abeg use Uber for two weeks and see the difference. Make I go they enjoy my 3% dey go
The hustle is real, nice one man with the way u are going u can gross 100k on uber alone this week.
Bolt/Taxify be shocking riders these days with the fare.
joetem: Yes, super fuel efficient, and have self diagnostic system, you just have give attention to every complaints that pop up on the display screen. The engine model is ew10, and the other one is ew10a
toomush: Not true sir... during my driving days, I never slept on the road. Countless times I have driven empty from the island(anywhere I am) to ogba. And I was still profitable.
Don't out your life at risk.
I didn't say I dont drive home, it all depends on the situation. I have a family and I do return home to them. Let's take this case for instance you got a trip from ikoyi going to crown estate on a thursday at around 9pm and the traffic to that axis wont let you reject it. On getting there no trip back down this way. Will you drive over 65km coming back to ogba? So it all depends on the situation just use your business judgement. The street is not that harsh there are always fellow drivers around
joetem: I have two Peugeot 407 on the road. Ew10 engine is superb, excellent and and combo of luxury and performance. The ew10A dey give small small wahala, maybe cos the way I bought it sha not so pristine but still delivering relative to the cost of purchase
What's the code for the 406 engine? heard it's a very fuel efficient vehicle
Crvrider: God bless una hustle o. But how do you guys manage to sleep inside car, don't you guys consider the risk?
It's all about knowing your terrain. I dare not sleep in the streets of mainland but anytime I find myself on the island (the true lagos) Admiralty, Chevron, Abraham Adesanya, Ikoyi and I cant burn fuel driving through the horrible roads and traffic going home without achieving my daily set target. I strongly believe that is the way to hit big figures driving on these platforms.
