Technology Market / Re: Beware Of This Thugs Called King Of Boys In Ikeja Computer Village, Lagos. by lyricalz: 9:31pm On Jun 02, 2019
one rule, if you live in a ghetto where there are lots of thugs, do not get closer to them in the first place, give them distance, they can only steal from you or harass you after they have succeeded in enticing you to get closer to you. They can never chase you when you run from them or give them space, if you see them on the right cross to the left, if they up then climb down.

You can achieve that, if your phone has HDMI port, also if your TV has got HDMI too, with the help of an HDMI cable having one side a mini HDMI you can achieve that.

According to your post, there is wide spread of poverty in Nigeria. Don't you think it is too risky to invest in a poor market? who will patronize the business?

The ever growing population created the market. If you do your research well, you can tap on that.

ShyWhale:
I am a Nigerian in Germany with a German Masters degree. It's quite difficult to get professional jobs in Germany as an African as we are usually the last of the pack. The only luck I ever had was to get internships, internships that takes several months to get and usually only for short periods. The high percentage of Africans even with German Phds doing menial jobs is highly discouraging and depressing. Most are trapped in the race for survival and I can't imagine myself living life like them. I feel I could do better with my skills and education that spreads across Europe's top countries.

I made the decision to return to Nigeria, harness my skills and start up a processing company. At 25 and the sole breadwinner of an extended family, they are asking me to stay put, saying that the Nigerian environment is not good for business (I feel they are only scared of losing out on the goodies they get from me).

Also last year, the family introduced me to a female in the UK, talking about marriage to her. The said lady is a Nigerian within my age range, but born and raised in the UK. Though I have been to the UK severally to see her, I have made no commitments whatsoever as she is not the kind of lady I would marry all things being equal. She and the family have however given me a ultimatum to decide now.

What do you advice?

don't let anyone deceive you. The best place to leave on earth is Nigeria, but only if you have money. There is wide poverty right here in Nigeria, that's the reason Nigeria seems like hell on earth. But not to those who have the money. If you have the capital, come invest it in Nigeria, the market is here.

Goodluck.

The Nigerian police is the major problem of this country, together with corruption and tribalism. How can you fight corruption when an institution like NPF still exist. Who will execute the anti corruption drive, the NPF? I have said it before if we are serious to fight corruption, nepotism, and stagnation, first of all kill their mother-tribalism, their father- religion and their uncle- Nigeria police force. Then watch their children die off.

Nairaland / General / Re: I Killed This Cat Disturbing My Peace. by lyricalz: 8:24pm On May 03, 2019
fineboynl:
Cat’s produce saliva. They don’t spit in the same way humans do but the fluid does contain a protein that produces an allergic reaction in some people. Since cats groom themselves with their tongues the saliva, and thus the protein, gets deposited on their coats… people who claim to be allergic to cat hair are actually reacting to the protein, not the hair itself.

Growling, hissing or spitting indicate a cat who is annoyed, frightened, angry or aggressive.

but I hear they can spit into the human eyes and cause instant blindness. I hate cats, I prefer dogs to cats.

It really gave me a run for my money b4 i could kill it, it was spitting forcefully. What a creature!

wow, great.
How did you kill it, with all the spitting? I heard its siliva can blind someone instantly.

The most unreasonable comment I've seen today. Say the same at Aba or Onitsha market.

Tribalism and Religion is the problem of Nigeria and Africa at large and not corruption, if you say say some Nigerians don't have right in a part of Nigeria, why not let them go, so you will know that they are real foreigners. One Nigeria is only on paper, its not in our heart. This country has a long way to go, everything is attributed to religion or ethnicity.

These protesters are indeed deluded group of people.

Market is market in Lagos. How can that one carrying a placard that says computer village is an ICT hub and not pepper sellers, it's amazing how these guys thinks they can decide what happens in another man's land.

What happens to when in Rome, behave like and obey the Roman laws.

No you getting it wrong, as long as you are a Nigerian you can decide what happens anywhere in Nigeria. Don't be an educated illiterate.

Politics / Re: We’re Against Atiku For Promising To Restructure Nigeria –ACF Secretary, Sani by lyricalz: 8:09am On Mar 24, 2019
Nigeria will never be great again, till the world ends. Stop deceiving yourself. Its not a curse but factual. Every time Nigeria has the chance to be great they simply blow that chance up.

First it was during the time of mko abiola, a chance to bring Nigeria to Democratic rule, heal the country from her military injury, it was blown up. Abacha came in and scatter everything.

Secondly, Democracy was giving a second chance finally but the first chance is always still the best. After obj, Yar adua, would have changed the country totally, a man who admitted that the election that brought him in was not free and fair but promised to changed the election laws and process to allow credibility, a non tribalistic and religious man that saw pains in the Niger Delta and brought amnesty and training. That man could have changed things, again Nigeria had the chance to be great, but he died after 2years in office.

Third chance, after yar adua's death, unprepared Jonathan was brought in, he wasted close to 4years either learning from costly mistakes or simply not knowing what to do, when it become apparent for him to sit tight, it became too late for the people out of impatience, but I still believed Jonathan second term in office would have turned things around. Buhari was brought in and disaster followed. Again that chance was blown.

The latest chance Nigeria had to be great again was to vote in atiku. I'm not that a staunch supporter of atiku, most people see him as a thief and looter which he most have observed himself, I think his coming back is to prove people wrong and for people to see a clear differences between his government and that of buhari, again this chance was blown up.

So if u still sitting there an hoping Nigeria will be great some day, I laugh you in egunlanguage o.
Before Nigeria can be great, then 80% of her population must have been educated, I mean well educated o. The politicians know this, hence less funding for education.
The problem with Nigeria and Africa is not corruption, but tribalism and religion, kill that and watch their Children corruption, nepotism, hate speech etc die a natural death.

Yes Ogboru is not a yeye candidate but you know in politics everything matters. Is just like in Nigeria case, if PDP had brought southerner to compete with Buhari the margin would have been far more than this.

The plan was to bring Pat Utomi which is a good candidate and from Okowa region which is Delta North. But it was jettisoned by Omo agege and co.

Though just like everything matters in politics so everything is possible in politics

But I am seeing Okowa retaining his seat. mind U am not PDP.

Yes you are not a PDP , you are a human. PDP is a party.
