I am very disappointed that this ugly trend of using minors as street hawkers is still prevalent among Ebonyi state indigenes despite all the hardwork and huge investments right from the PDP Governor, Dr Sam Egwu, HE Elechi to the Dave Umahi-led administration to reverse this ugly trend.

How on earth can Ebonyi state which is one of the least populous states in Nigeria account for 60% of hawkers in the most populous black nation on earth That's extreme poverty or worst form of human trafficking.

It is looking like there's a clandestine human trafficking industry that recruits these young boys and girls for this trade and Ebonyi state Government should go after the kingpins while empowering the arrested street hawkers.

In fact, Ebonyi can request other states to help arrest these Ebonyi minors and return them to Ebonyi for welfare rehabilitation and empowerment.

No doubt, it is good news that Ebonyi state is doing something to curb it by giving money as much as N2 million to the Ebonyi state boys and girls willing to quit the dangerous street hawking trade in Lagos and all over Nigeria but they need to get to the root of the problem.

The entire Middle East is a mess that may never ever see peace as a result of the manipulation of the west. The country called Isreal never existed until 1948. Before 1948, Palestinians were the ones living in most parts of Isreal. After the holocaust and Second World War, America decided to move Jews back to the current Isreal location based on biblical history that Isreal once occupied the place. So, they simply hijacked the land from the occupants and took over forcefully. The need to also have a western ally control some historical religious sites that are important to both Christians and Jewish religious was also a factor in the forceful occupation.

The west did the same thing with Saudi Arabia after the First World War. The country called Saudi Arabia today never existed until it was created with the use of force by US backing a rogue mafia family called House of Saud in 1918 to form Saudi Arabia and take over the Islamic holy sites from Turks and Persians.

The 1948 Isreal border was a very controversial one that was a bitter pill for a lot of neighboring Arab and Islamic countries to swallow. This led to the 6-day Arab war in 1967. Isreal won the war but instead of being magnanimous in victory, they decided to expand their 1948 boundary and then took over almost all of Palestinian land. They also took total control and of the Gaza Strip by imposing complete blockade since then.

When the two state option was proposed, Isreal opposed it because recognizing Palestine as a country simply means Isreal will have to lift the rogue blockade of Gaza Strip and lose the right to invade the country at will. So, we have a people who can’t move freely on their land, can’t do anything without Isreal approval, are just locked up within their own land for no reason other than Israel’s need to exist.

So, above is what led to the creation of HAMAS. A group of freedom fighters created to fight the forceful occupation of Palestinian territory by Israel. China, Russia, Iran and a lot other other countries recognize HAMAS as a freedom fighting movement while Isreal and her western allies have tagged HAMAS a terrorist organization.

Like I said, I’m not taking a side. It’s left for the rest of humanity to look at the situation and collectively take the right decision for all sides.

Both Israel and the Palestinians have right grievances. Israel was formed because for decades they were subject to racist persecution in all the countries they were dispersed in. Even then, most of them were not Zionists, or thinking of heading back to Palestine, until the events of 1933-45 finally convinced them

In the process, they chased out a lot of Palestinians from their land, and most of those people ended up in refugee camps. And they are still there, and they suffer a lot.

And don't use the argument that Israel used to live in that land. If we used that argument, by extension a lot of people living in many parts of the world would have to vacate their current land because they are not the original settlers. Not just Israel, African, European American , etc...would all have to go back home...since it isn't their land.

I've gone from backing Israel to being neutral. Both sides are evil, and both sides are wrong and both are also right. And yes, I am angry with Hamas, but Israel has bombed the Gaza strip for years, and thousands have died. Hamas, Hezbollah and co too have done their worset...which is why there are fences, and high security, and suffering in the Palestinian lands.

But at the end of the day, both Israel and Palestine have to come to an understanding. Both have to make compromises. Because all i see is the usual killing and killing and killing....and at the end nothing happens.

Maybe the world should just leave both sides to deal with each other, until they both recieve sense.

You dispersed people from their land and now you don't want them to reclaim the same ancestral land. As for me even if it will take a million years I will reclaim it. It's just a question of time.
