@Zikky, who has given you the mandate to tell pastors not to preach prosperity but like you said, it's your opinion Jos 1:7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. {prosper: or, do wisely} 1Ki 2:3 And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself: {prosper: or, do wisely} 3Jo 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. {wish: or, pray} (KJV) Prosperity does not just have to do with finances you can prosper in all you do, your job, your marriage, your life as a whole that is prosperity |
You Can Laugh Your Way Through Life! – Thursday June 30, 2011- Pastor Anita Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place (2 Corinthians 2:14). There’re people who don’t know what is to be happy; they haven’t known true joy or genuine laughter for long time. But that’s not the life Jesus brought. Life for the Christian ought to be exciting, vibrant, fulfilling and full of laughter. That’s why Jesus came; to save us, help us, prosper us, and give us a great, joyous and prosperous life; and He finished His job successfully. He was a success at what He came to do, and you’re the fruit of His success. Now, since He came because of you, you’re the trophy of His victory, you ought not to go through life suffering, struggling and toiling. If we are still suffering with sin and disease, sickness and poverty then it means His sacrifice for us on the cross was in vain. But thanks be unto God; it wasn’t in vain! His death, burial and resurrection ushered us into a life of permanent victory and unending glory; a life of indescribable joy (1 Peter 1: .The Bible speaks of the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow (1 Peter 1:11). So you ought to rejoice and laugh your way through life every day, knowing that you’ve been called into the glory-life. It’s a transcendent life of victory where you win all the time! You might say, “No Pastor, this hasn’t been my experience; it’s like this Christian life is full of ups and downs; it’s a journey through the rough and rugged road.” No it’s not. It doesn’t matter how “rough and rugged” a road might be, if you ply it with the “right vehicle,” you’ll have a smooth ride. Applying the accurate knowledge of God’s Word to the circumstances of your life is what you need. Yes, you may face tests, trials and persecutions; the Bible promises us that. But yet it also says, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations” (James 1:2). This just lets you know it’s a life of victory all the way; you’re to laugh your way through life, irrespective of the adversities that may come your way. Romans 8:37 says, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Confession The joy of the Lord is in my heart and in mouth today, and I prevail in all my endeavours, knowing that the power of God in my spirit gives me the boldness to surmount any adversity! I thank you, righteous Father, for giving me a beautiful life; a life of victory all the way! Further Study Psalm 2:1-4 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision. Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Zikkyy:This branding you talk about, is it of the church or of some persons? Enigma:giving for the work of ministry advances the gospel or should the work of the ministry be explained to u? |

Dominate Your World – Wednesday June 29, 2011 – Pastor Chris And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (Revelation 1:6). In Revelation 5:10, the Bible says God has made us “…kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” This is powerful! To understand what God had in mind when He made us kings, let’s observe something striking about the first man, Adam. On the day God created him, God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it…” (Genesis 1:26-28). The Bible says God made Adam in His own image and likeness – to look and function like Him. Have you ever wondered how God functions? Who exactly is He? He is the great God of glory; the King of kings. By His words, He created the entire universe. And in Genesis 1:26-28, we read that He made the first man Adam, to be a king just like Himself, to reign and subdue everything in the earth. Ecclesiastes 8:4 says “Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?” Now you can understand better what our opening verse means when it says God has made us kings. We’ve been given great authority to dominate our world. We can subdue systems, ideas, laws, and traditions that are contrary to the Gospel and establish God’s will in the earth. As kings, we can decree a thing and have it established unto us. That’s the way we rule and reign with Him in the earth today. The Bible says “…they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17). Confession I reign and rule in life as a king, and I have received abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness. Therefore I know that the words I speak are potent because where the word of a king is, there’s power! Further Study Job 22:28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. The gospel of Jesus is far from being free though you don't have to pay for it There's a church venues involved access road, if needed church runnings, welfare and helps e.t.c Now, the reason why i say you don't have to pay for it is because, some others could have volunteered to pay for things and contribute towards project Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold and laid them at the apostles' feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need. And Joses, who was also named Barnabas by the apostles (which is translated Son of Encouragement), a Levite of the country of Cyprus, having land, sold it, and brought the money and laid it at the apostles' feet. Acts 4:34-37 The need and use of money for the gospel didn't arise today, it started right from bible days |
@joagbaje, but your scripture harsh o! |
dandong:can everybody (considering the crowd the church pulls) attend service in the lagos venue? There is no discrimination in the church but rather love and care It's because people are being considered, that's why they are not allowed to travel all the way, spend money, only to be locked out because there is no space again It's better to sit back, either in your homes, offices or churches to participate live on the program That is what happens in CE |
@Poster, grace is God's ability and favor upon a man. Grace can be increased if you ask for it and grace can also leave a man. |

Unconditional Blessings – Sunday June 26, 2011 – Pastor Chris Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life (Romans 5:18). Under the Old Testament, God’s blessings for the children of Israel were preconditioned on their obedience to the Law. They had to obey the Law to enjoy the benefits of the first covenant. For example, in Exodus 19:5-6, God had desired that the children of Israel walk as kings and priests before Him, but their obedience was a prerequisite for the blessings to take effect in their lives: “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation.” However, they broke His laws and couldn’t enjoy the blessings. But this isn’t the case with us today in the New Testament. Colossians 1:12 says “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.” We’ve been made partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the Kingdom of light. We’re sharers and participators in the blessings and benefits of the Kingdom-life reserved for all God’s children. This happened when you were born again; you were born with an inheritance. You don’t have to try to “obey” the law for God to bless you; you were born blessed (Ephesians 1:3). Also, you’re the fruit of Christ’s obedience: “Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous” (Romans 5:18-19). Can you now see why you don’t have to try to obey God first for Him to bless you? Someone obeyed God on your behalf, and His Name is Jesus. Through His obedience, God’s gift, His blessing of righteousness, was bequeathed to you. Nowhere in the New Testament are we told to “obey” God or “obey” the Law. Rather, we are called His obedient children: “As obedient children, not fashioned yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance” (1 Peter 1:14). We’re described in scriptures as having obeyed God’s Word of truth from the heart (Romans 6:17). So our blessings and inheritance in Christ aren’t preconditioned on obedience; rather, they are our birthright! Prayer I thank you dear heavenly Father, for qualifying me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light. I reach forth today and take a hold of all that’s mine in Christ, and enjoy the benefits and privileges reserved for all who are in Christ Jesus. Amen. Further Study Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 1 Peter 3:9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. It can be used financially, health wise, materially, spiritually e.t.c Lu 17:6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. Three Creative Principles Of The Human Spirit – Saturday June 25, 2011 – Pastor Chris And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13). Faith, hope and love are the three creative principles of the human spirit. They are also abiding principles, as indicated in our opening verse. This means that when all else fails, these three principles will remain; they’ll never pass away. Animals don’t have and can’t exhibit these principles, for they are qualities of the human spirit. They are factors that help us understand and appreciate the yearnings of the human nature. They help explain why we are the way we are, and why we do things the way we do. When you get to understand faith, hope and love, you’ll understand yourself much better and also understand things about God that you never knew. Like all laws, these three principles of faith, hope and love don’t function on their own; they must be applied or acted upon. Faith, hope and love are in your spirit, but that doesn’t mean they are going to work on their own. You’re the one to make a choice to act your faith, to always be hopeful towards God, and to walk in love. With your faith, you can do anything: “…verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20). Then, Romans 5:5 tells us “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” That’s means hope never disappoints. The reason hope doesn’t disappoint is that the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). Love in your heart gives life to your faith, for the Bible says faith works by love (Galatians 5:6). When you activate these three principles in your life, you’ll be extraordinarily productive. Prayer Dear Father, I thank you for granting me understanding of faith, hope and love; I function today with these higher principles of the Kingdom, and declare that they’re producing positive supernatural results as I put them to work in my life, Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study 1 Thessalonians 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 1 Thessalonians 1:3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; Daily Scripture Reading 1 Year Bible Acts 11:19-30 Reading plan Nehemiah 1-3 2 Year Bible Luke 4:1-13 Reading Plan Deuteronomy 23 Rhapsody of Realities Pastor Chris Oyakhilome |

Called To Bless! – Wednesday June 22, 2011 – Pastor Chris And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed (Galatians 3: . One of the everyday conveniences that has a great impact on our lives was invented in 1879 by Thomas Alva Edison. Many others who previously tried gave up because of the seeming difficulty involved. However, Edison persisted, He had a strong resolve to be a blessing to the world. Today, after he is long gone, not only is he remembered as an astute scientist whose immense contributions have ushered many more inventions, he is also renowned for giving the world one of its finest and most important inventions – the incandescent light bulb! Imagine what the world would have been like without light. This is what the Bible refers to as witty inventions (Proverbs 8:12) Many today have done much more. You can also be that one man that’ll cause a major change in today’s world. You’ve been blessed to be a blessing. When the Lord told Abraham, “…in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” (Genesis 12:3), he wasn’t just referring to Abraham alone, but his seed – Christ. As a new creation in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17) you’re the seed of Abraham (Galatians 3:29). Therefore, it’s your responsibility to be a blessing to your world. You’re that agent of change that your community, your state, nation and the world as whole is looking for. You’ve been imbued with the divine wisdom to chart a new course and bless your world. In Proverbs 25:2, the Bible says, “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.” Through the Spirit, you can search out hidden treasures to bless your world. No matter the field you’re in, you have the wisdom to provide solution to problems and answers to questions. Colossians 2:2-3 tells us that the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hid in Christ. This same Christ has been made unto you wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:30). The wisdom of God in you has separated you from mediocrity to excellence; you have in you the grace to change and bless your world. Prayer Dear Father, I thank you for anointing my mind with divine wisdom to affect the lives of people all over the world. I am the seed of Abraham. My thoughts are anointed, and I implement those ideas by the ability of God’s Spirit at work in me, in Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen. Have Value For Spiritual Things – Tuesday June 21, 2011 – Pastor Anita For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit (Romans 8:5). In Genesis 25:29-34, when Esau was asked for his birthright, his reply showed that he didn’t place any value on sacred things. Genesis 25:32 (AMP) says “Esau said, See here, I am at the point of death; what good can this birthright do me?” Esau knew that the birthright had blessings, but it didn’t mean anything to him. So he sold his birthright to Jacob for a morsel of food and didn’t consider the spiritual implication of that act and it cost him the inheritance, which his younger brother got in his place. Hebrews 12:17 says “For ye know how afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.” Esau was sense-ruled. The Bible refers to him as profane (Hebrews 12:16). He allowed the desire, need and the pleasures of his flesh to govern him. He treated sacred things irreverently or with disregard. Esau didn’t esteem the blessings and that forever caused him his right as firstborn. Not to esteem spiritual things is what the Apostle Paul describes as being carnally minded. It is to set your mind on the natural things of life; on the things you can perceive with your senses that gives immediate gratification. The Bible says, “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace” (Romans 8:6). This isn’t referring to physical death but spiritual death, which is separation from the life of God. When your actions are carnal, you cannot please God (Romans 8: . Carnality is the road to destruction, because the carnal mind is enmity against God.So, refuse to condescend to the low level of being led by your senses; rather, let God’s Word be your motivation because you’re no longer ruled by the flesh but by the Spirit (Romans 8:9). Be about the spiritual like Jacob. He was after the blessing, which is spiritual. Confession I’m spiritually minded. I don’t base my opinions, judgments and responses on what my physical senses tell me. Rather, I live according to the information passed to my spirit from the Word of God, in the Name of Jesus. Further Study Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
