Make Melody Of The Word In Your Heart – Saturday June 18, 2011 – Pastor Anita And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess, but be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). Reading our opening scripture further into the nineteenth and twentieth verses tells us exactly how to be filled with the Spirit: “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 5:19-20). These psalms, hymns and spiritual songs you’re required to speak in order to be filled with the Spirit must be based on God’s Word, for the Word and the Spirit are one: “, the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63). This lets us know that one of the ways to be filled with the Spirit is to sing or make melody of the Word in your heart to the Lord. That means wherever you are, you can muse over, ponder or mutter the Word to yourself until it forms a melody in your heart that burst forth into a joyful psalm or spiritual song. You can be so full of the Word through meditation that you only sing the Word and make sweet melodies of the Word. It happens to me quite often. I’ve learnt to talk and sing the Word of God to myself. And when you fellowship with the Word in this manner God reveals divine secrets to you. Suddenly, you find that you’re awakened to new realities in the Word that transport you to a higher level in life. Practise being filled with the Spirit through singing and making melody of the Word in your heart to the Lord. When you fellowship with the Lord through the Word in this manner, His thoughts are unveiled to you; you become more receptive to the move of the Spirit. So I urge you today to let those springs and rivers of living water (John 7:38); the rich deposit of the Word in your heart, continuously flow out of you, in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs unto the Lord! Confession The power of the Spirit overwhelms me today as the Word of God comes forth through me in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs unto the Lord. The Word gains root in my heart and gains the dominion over my thoughts and actions today, as I make joyful melodies of the Word in my heart unto my Lord. Amen. Further Study Psalm 95:1-2 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. He must increase, but I must decrease (John 3:30). This is a very powerful expression in the Scriptures credited to John the Baptist. He was talking about the Lord Jesus, and he said, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” If only you’d catch this vision with your spirit and become more of Him and less of yourself. Remember, the Father said of Jesus, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him” (Matthew 17:5). Jesus is the fulfillment of the Father’s dream; He is our chief example. So if we’re going to please the Father, we’ve got to be like Jesus. We’ve got to copy Him and let our character sink into His character so much that people will begin to say we look like Him. John declared that “as He (Jesus) is so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). The question is, Who is He? Jesus is the living Word. He’s the absolute personification of Wisdom. When He walked this earth, He forgave, blessed, healed, raised the dead, embraced sinners, and changed lives. He was such a marvel, and He hasn’t changed (Hebrews 13:. Our knowledge of who Jesus is helps us know who we are and how we ought to live. When the Holy Ghost reveals Jesus to you from the Word and you get to know Him more, you’d love Him more, and become more like Him. Then you can think, talk and act like Him, because you’ve got His Word in you. You know, sometimes in my prayer, I tell God, “I don’t just want to be a “preacher”; I want to be like Jesus. I want to do what He did, think like Him and love people the way He did.” This should be your desire too – to see the real value of people and love them for who they really are. Some don’t know who Jesus is and who they are in Him, but you can help them discover themselves and realize their true worth. As you help others discover who Jesus is to fall in love with Him and become like Him, you also become more like Him So let Jesus be your example in everything. Copy him and you’ll be an outstanding success anytime, anywhere! |
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night…for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then shalt have good success (Joshua 1:. For the Word of God to produce results for you and in you, you’d have to meditate on it. Through meditation, you drive the Word deep into your spirit. The Hebrew word translated ‘meditate’ in the scripture above is “Hagah” and it means “to ruminate,” “to mutter,” ‘to speak of something under your voice”; “to say something to yourself over and over again.” Thus in meditating on the Word, you ruminate over a Scripture, ponder upon it, and mutter it to yourself continuously. God wants you to meditate on the Word this way because He knows that as you do, it will get into your spirit and become personal to you. For example, everything around you may look dark and hopeless, and then the devil tells you, “You’re poor, you don’t have anything and you’re not going to have anything.” Now, you already know the scripture that says, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19), and you’ve been quoting it, but nothing has changed. However, this time, you think it over, ponder over it, saying it to yourself again and again, until it starts bubbling inside you. The devil may try to stop you, but refuse to yield; just keep saying: “My God shall supply all my need; therefore there’s no lack in my life! I can never be poor; I can never be broke, because I’m the heir of the Monarch of the universe; I have access to inexhaustible and inestimable wealth!” At this point, something is happening to your spirit; you’re driving the Word deep into your spirit. It’s important that you purposely drive the Word into your spirit through meditating like this, for that’s the receptacle system for the Word. When the Word gets into your spirit, it mixes with faith and suddenly, the challenges that hitherto looked insurmountable become bread for you. |

Don’t Break The Hedge! – Friday June 10, 2011 – Pastor Chris He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him (Ecclesiastes 10: .Every child of God has a spiritual force-field around him; it’s a hedge of protection that repels the enemy. Did you ever read about Job in the Bible? Satan had tried unsuccessfully to attack the man, and so he asked God, “Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side?” (Job 1:10). Even satan acknowledged that there was a hedge of protection round about Job and everything he had, until Job unfortunately breached it through his wrong confessions as revealed in Job 3:23-26: “Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom God hath hedged in? For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings are poured out like the waters. For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.” Here was a man who even satan acknowledged was hedged and divinely protected by God, yet he said “I was not in safety.” Little wonder he suffered terribly and lost everything he had to satan; He broke the hedge of protection placed around him by God through his negative confession. How important it is for us to keep speaking forth faith-filled words and not fear! Negative confessions breach the hedge of protection God has placed around you. No child of God ought to experience sudden calamities or be overtaken by dire misfortunes; because there’s a hedge of protection around everyone one of us. No matter how the enemy tries to come at you, the Spirit of God will erect a repellent barrier against him: “…When the enemy shall come in, like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him {and} put him to flight [for He will come like a rushing stream which the breath of the Lord drives]” (Isaiah 59:19 AMP). But guess what? He does it through you, for He functions and carries out His ministry in the earth through His kids. So it’s your responsibility to fortify the hedge of protection placed around you by God and extend its perimeter. How? By talking right, and then also by praying in tongues! When you feel the pressures of life coming at you; maybe at your job, business, academics or in any area of your life, that’s not the time to cry, cower or talk fear! Instead, pray fervently in other tongues and talk your faith up until the power of God inundates your whole being and saturates the environment. As you do this often, the spiritual force-field around you gets wider and wider, repelling the enemy farther and farther. Prayer Dear Father, thank you for your hedge of protection around me. The perimeter of that hedge is activated to keep satan and the forces of darkness at bay, in the Name of Jesus. Amen. Further Study Psalm 125:2-3 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever. Able Ministers Of The Gospel! – Thursday June 9, 2011 – Pastor Anita But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1: . As Christians, not only have we been divinely mandated to preach the Gospel (Mark 16:15), we’ve been endued with power from on high to function effectively as fervent souls winners. We’ve been made able ministers of the Gospel. The Apostle Paul being mindful of this said, “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry” (1 Timothy 1:12). We’ve been divinely enabled to manifest the Kingdom-life and show forth the unsearchable riches, graces, excellence and manifold wisdom of Christ through the preaching of the Gospel. This charge is for every Christian, not for a select few! You ought to be afire for the Lord, with your heart burning hot with the Good News. Never allow opportunities to preach the Gospel pass you by unutilized. Never be shy or intimidated to preach to anybody: “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). There’s an anointing on you to preach the Gospel, and that anointing is activated the moment you open your mouth to witness to somebody about Christ. You have the Holy Spirit, and He has already enabled you for the task, so all you need do is to go ahead, open your mouth and speak! You’ll be amazed at the gracious and powerful words of wisdom that’ll proceed out of your mouth. He said in Luke 21:15, “For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.” No wonder He said in Psalm 81:10, “…open your mouth wide and I will fill it…” Which means once you’ve determined you’re going to communicate the Gospel to someone, the Lord will give you the words to speak; yours is to open your mouth and begin to speak. Begin conscious of what the Lord Jesus said in Luke 24:49 “…behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” This was fulfilled in your life when you were born again; you received the promise of the Father and became endued and enabled with power from on high to preach the Gospel. Prayer Dear Father, thank you for making me an able minister of the Gospel; your word of faith, salvation, deliverance and healing is in my heart today as a burning fire, shut up in my bones. And I declare it forth with power everywhere I go today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study 2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. 1 Peter 4:10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. eccentric:Every CE member lives in a problem free world, we have being taught that but paraventure something arises, we have also being taught how to handle it and preventive measures. It indeed is possible to live in that kind of life. This life is the eternal life we talk about, it is not a world of fantasy They do not hope that one day they will be super rich and sickness free because it already is at work in them, they only need to see it manifest |
Koolking:Who is forcing you to do what Pastors cannot be enriched by their members but by God dorox:stop decieving yourself. for the fact that you have being blinded by the God of this world does not mean you are following a good cause The only way you can help people is by introducing them to the gospel of Jesus( ie if you have being introduced) rather than to try to tear down men of God |
There really is no need for this thread People's mentality will only change by prayer and the word of God This thread will create an opportunity for people to say nonsense |
@Mr Bible, when i'm praying in tongues, why would someone else need to hear what i'm discussing with God |
@MeganC, Your testimony was beautiful This is what a lot of persons have refused to accept Just by giving to God what belongs to Him, you get extra extra blessings, you sign up all kinds of insurance When you make a giving, you make unto God and not to man, what man does with it should not bother you if you believe and walk in this, you will live a forward and an upward movement congratulations again ![]() |
Heal The Sick – Wednesday June 8, 2011 – Pastor Chris Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick (Luke 9:1-2). God wants us to pray with faith, boldness and the expectation that what we decree in prayer will come to pass. He has given us the authority in the Name of Jesus to issue decrees with daring audacity and have them established. Some religious folks however gripe at our boldness, asking, “Who do they think they are, giving such decrees?” They expect us for instance, to pray and ask God to heal the sick, instead of taking it upon ourselves to command the sick to be healed in the Name of Jesus. Well, first of all, the Bible never says we should pray to God to heal the sick; rather, we’re to heal the sick. There’s no place in the Scriptures where God asks that we pray to Him to heal the sick. In Matthew 10:8, Luke 9:2, Luke 10:9, Jesus charged the disciples to heal the sick; He didn’t ask them to pray to Him or to the Father to heal the sick. In Mark 16:17-18 He said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Jesus made it clear that we believers have been given the authority in His Name to heal the sick. In the third chapter of the book of Acts, while Peter and John were at the gate of the temple called Beautiful, they met a man who was impotent in his feet; never walked from birth. Notice Peter’s language to the man: “…Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6). He didn’t pray that God should heal the sick man. He was conscious of the authority he had and knew that though he couldn’t give the man money at that point in time, he could ‘give’ him healing in the Name of Jesus. The nature of God has been imparted to your spirit if you’re born again, therefore you’re to reign as a king in life (Romans 5:17AMP). When you pray for the sick, make bold decrees! Command the devils responsible for the sickness to come out and that the sick be healed in the Name of Jesus. Expect a change every time you issue such commands. This is the kind of prayer James refers to as prayer of faith in James 5:15. Prayer Dear Father, I thank you for my words are imbued with authority from the Spirit. Therefore, I speak forth authoritatively, healing the sick, cleansing the lepers, raising the dead, casting out devils, and demonstrating God’s love to my world, in the Name of Jesus. Further Study Matthew 10:7-8 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. Luke 10:8-9 And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
