Health › Re: 10 Morning Wood (Erection) Facts You Probably Didn't Know by macarson2k(m): 10:28pm On Dec 22, 2018 |
MGab25: Many young men, and even some older ones who haven’t found the right people to ask, are curious about morning wood. Most people who have the experience, with some regularity, of waking up in the morning with an erecti0n and wonder, what's up with this? This is a difficult thing to understand for women and even people who own a pen!s. Doctors, however, have studied why this morning wood happens to men. Yes, hard to believe, that science spent time on this subject.
Below are some of the facts they discovered from their studies.
ENJOY and SHARE!
1. It's just part of life, men of all ages wake up with an erecti0n. The medical name for a morning wood is nocturnal penile tumescence (NPT). There are some assumptions as to why this happens to men when they wake up in the morning.
2. It becomes less frequent when you get to a certain age. This morning wood phenomenon becomes less and less frequent around the time men are in the 60's and 70's.
3. The brain controls our bodies and function. This is why men can control being aroused at work, in the gym or on a date. While at sleep, some parts of the brain are shut down, that means the brain no longer keeps the pen!s in check. Whereas normally the brain is regulating the pen!s and making sure erecti0ns only occur when needed, during REM the pen!s is free to do whatever it wants - And what does it want? You guessed right! Get hard!
4. It's a lot stronger in the morning because he's hormonal. Guy's testosterone level is at its highest, early in the day around 25% to 50%. As the day progresses, the levels begins to drop.
5. The pen!s gets hard when it's rubbed up against something accidentally, during sleep. The pen!s gets aroused by touch, physical stimulation. Hence, if the body is pressed against something or someone, it's responded by making the pen!s do what it knows how to do best - getting hard.
6. It's just a way for the pen!s to exercise NPT can actually be a way the body conditions the pen!s to keep blood in it for long periods of time. There's no other place in your body that has to trap blood for an extended period of time," says Dr. Alukal. "For example, if we took a tourniquet and tied it around your foot for a half hour, we might have some problems afterward. But your pen!s is expected to trap blood for a half hour or an hour and be fine afterward. But Dr. Alukal is quick to point out that this is just a theory, and there's no data to back it up. (source: cosmopolitan.com)
7. A man's erecti0n comes after receiving signals from the brain telling him he is stimulated and ready.
8. Guys experience multiple boners per night Doctors estimate that men will have about four to five erecti0ns throughout the night with each lasting approximately 25-30 minutes. In case you are wondering, that is totally normal.
9. A man's bladder may also be making him get an erection. It is a common myth that morning erecti0ns are caused by a full bladder. While we know that having a full bladder can lead to an erecti0n in someone who is awake (we know this through research with men with spinal cord injuries) it's not clear that this does cause erecti0ns throughout the night.
10. Getting the morning wood is good news, don't get embarrassed cos of that. Men on average have morning erections about three times a night. Doctors say this means your testosterone levels are good, and his overall health is doing great.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL: Mourinho Gives Injury Update On Nine Man United Players Ahead Of Liverpool by macarson2k(m): 2:04pm On Dec 14, 2018 |
2Ebisco: Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has provided latest injury update on nine of his players ahead of Red Devils’ Premier League clash against Liverpool on Sunday at Anfield.
The likes of Marcos Rojo, Scott McTominay, Victor Lindelof, Alexis Sanchez, Luke Shaw, Chris Smalling, Matteo Darmian, Anthony Martial and Diogo Dalot are all injured ahead of United’s clash with Jurgen Klopp’s men.
Mourinho said some of United’s nine injured players are certain to miss Liverpool clash.
Providing injury update on his players, Mourinho reiterated as quoted by Manchester Evening News on Friday at a pre-match conference: “The latest is to tell you again that in Valencia only De Gea and Matic were available to play and didn’t travel by decision.
“Apart from that, the players that didn’t travel were not fit to play in Valencia, all of them had injuries and they were not ready.
“All of them didn’t train yesterday again and today they will be a little, I don’t want to say [a] test, but a little introduction to training to see the answer, adaptation and to see if we can increase a little bit tomorrow to have them for Sunday.
“But for sure, I hope, is better not to say for sure, I hope some will be available but for sure some will not be.”
“I’m going to try, I’m going to try,” Mourinho added. “I always try and I want to play a team that is capable to be with me on that desire and on that ambition and on that confidence.
“We know that we are going to play against the leader, against a team in a high, but we have our qualities, we have our potential and even with the problems we have and the doubts in terms of team choice, of tactics, of approach, of philosophy, we have doubts about everything.
“But we are going to arrive with the players we have available and going to have a team capable of going there and fight for the victory.”

Politics › Re: Nobody Can Divide President Buhari’s Votes In The North – Keyamo by macarson2k(m): 7:39am On Dec 03, 2018 |
nairavsdollars: By Temidayo Akinsuyi
Barrister Festus Keyamo (SAN), spokesman of the President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation, in this exclusive interview with TEMIDAYO AKINSUYI in Abuja speaks on developments in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Excerpts:
The APC has been enmeshed in crisis since the conduct of its primaries with some governors calling for the resignation of the national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. Don’t you think this will affect President Buhari’s chances especially in his campaigns?
I don’t know why people rush to use this word ‘crisis’. Because once there is struggle for positions and people drag them selves to court or write petitions, it’s just a normal struggle within parties. But people are too quick to use the word ‘crisis’. If it is crisis, that means there is nobody that is free of the crisis in Nigeria. Indeed, nobody is free because the same thing happening here in APC is what is happening in all the other political parties that have the possibility of winning elections in this country. It is happening in PDP, APGA and so on. APGA is controlling only one state, yet they carried guns and shot themselves during their primaries. In fact, somebody had to flee through the window. Did you hear of any guns within APC? None! So, this idea of rushing to use the word ‘crisis’, to me, is just a pattern that the members of the public want to adopt. There is no primary that comes that issues won’t arise. It will happen again in 2023, 2027, 2031 and so on. It will always happen because there will be struggle, fierce struggle for power. The positions are few but the people are many. So, there is no crisis in APC. What we have is just fierce struggle for positions.
So, with all that is happening within the party, do you still believe all is well with the APC as we go into the elections?
Has the APC been deregistered by INEC? If the answer is no, then it is a growing concern. There is fierce struggle for positions. The people who got the tickets are humans, not goats. Somebody must get it while some people won’t get it. Those who did not get the tickets will make it look as if heavens are falling. Everybody who does not get the ticket will tell you that the party will lose thinking that he is the only one. A tree does not make a forest but from what we have always seen, anybody who lost a ticket will always believe the party cannot survive without him. That is not true.
You once granted an interview early this year saying Nigerians should form a third bloc that the APC is not the best political party for the country. Now that you are the spokesperson of President Buhari’s campaign, do you still stand by that statement?
I agree and I am saying it for the umpteenth time, and nobody should misquote me. APC is not the best political party we can have. Is it the best? No, but it is better than what we have before which is the PDP. Will I be foolish enough to say that it is the best? Is it a perfect party? The APC is a work in progress and that is why you can see internal struggles for positions and all that. You can see complaints of marginalization by some members. So, it is not the best but it is far better than what we had before. The only problem is that when people like you play this recording now, you will stop at where I said APC is not the best but you will not mention the second part of the statement where I said it is far better than PDP. I am not a sycophant to say that God is working in Nigeria. We are all human beings. It is an imperfect system that we are trying to perfect. I said that after some time, if this system does not improve or perfect, people should think of going further and forming a third bloc. It is a work in progress and I am not talking about 2019 or 2023, it may be in the future. Our parties are not based on ideologies and that is why you see people jumping from one party or the other overnight. Imagine a conservative turning to a progressive overnight or a progressive turning to a conservative overnight. Is that possible? They are only looking for tickets. So, I will not sit down here and be a fool to say our parties are based on ideologies. Why did I say that both APC and PDP are not the best. It is because there is really no ideology behind them. The APC is still the party that still presents something better in the sense that all the leaders of APC, apart from those joining behind you can associate them with progressive politics over the years. I am talking of President Buhari, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. These ones have never been in the ruling party. Never! That is what makes the difference. Apart from these few ones, every other person is just water flowing from one stream to another. So, you can still see that there is some semblance of progressive politics in the ruling party. That is all I said and if you ask me again, I will repeat the same thing on tape. APC is not the best but it is still a far cry from where we are coming from.
Do you think President Buhari still enjoys the same goodwill with which he came to power four years ago?
His party won all the major elections in 2015 and now. That is the clear answer because if I keep talking from now till evening, I cannot gauge it because I am not INEC or a barometer.
But what is your perception based on the pulse of Nigerians?
Where do you feel the pulse of Nigerians? Is the pulse felt on social media? Is the woman selling groundnut, pepper or crayfish on social media? People will just sit down here, carry their phones and turn themselves into INEC overnight and begin to calculate and do opinion polls on phones. The only opinion poll is the poll that we have conducted in 2015 and now and the President won all elections. He won Edo, Kogi, he won Kwara now. He won Ekiti, Osun and Ondo. Each time the PDP lose, they will cry foul. Let me tell you what is going on. What is going on is not a cry about rigging. The opposition is really not crying about rigging each time this election holds and they lose. They are crying about preventing them from rigging. That is what they are crying about. I want to put it on tape now that since 1999, the PDP had no other means to win elections than to write results. So, they found themselves in a new territory and they are uncomfortable with it. They don’t know how to canvass voters. The second problem they have is that they don’t know how to run elections without massive money. Apart from the popularity of President Buhari, these are the two handicaps they have now and which they will face going into 2019 elections.
President Buhari got fewer votes in the South East in 2015. Do you think he will spring a surprise this time around?
Again, I will refer you to the results of election because that is the only way to judge. I cannot look at social media and judge. In the Anambra election, in the heat of IPOB protests, the President’s party moved from a distant third to close second. PDP now came third. For me, the Anambra governorship election was victory for APC. For a party who got 5,000 votes in 2015 now making over 95,000 votes despite not being the ruling party in the state, that is the next level in Anambra. The biggest gainer in the Anambra election was not APGA that won but APC that came second. What we got in that state was an addition of 85,000 votes because in 2015, President Buhari barely scored 5,000 votes in that state in 2015. So, people should look at all these and nobody should come and cry rigging in 2019. You are seeing these empirical figures now going on. Also, look at the revolution going on in other parts of the South East now. We didn’t have one single senator before, now we have about 5 or 6 senators. Andy Uba came into APC, Hope Uzodinma came in followed by Onni Ogbuoji. Former governors like Sullivan Chime came in, former ministers and senators also came in. So, we have made tremendous progress and it is evident for all to see. So, with all these, how can somebody not sit down and say we have not made tremendous progress compared to where we were in 2015? This election will be easier for President Buhari than Goodluck Jonathan’s elections in 2015. Forget all this noise they are making on social media. Based on facts and our achievements, we know it will be easier for President Buhari now.
You said the 2019 election will be easier for President Buhari than the one he contested against Goodluck Jonathan. Don’t you think Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential flagbearer will divide Buhari’s votes in the North?
In 2011, we had four presidential candidates from the North. Nuhu Ribadu, Ibrahim Shekarau, Mahmud Waziri and Muhammadu Buhari. Did they divide Buhari’s votes? In fact, that was when he got 12 million votes from the North. Nobody can divide Buhari’s votes in the North.

Ecstasy154: The debt profile of Ekiti state which was N117 billion at the beginning of the year has risen to N120 billion.
According to a document forwarded to the debt management office by the outgoing state government, the state incurred additional debt of N3 billion between March and June this year.
In September, Kayode Fayemi, governor-elect of Ekiti state, had raised an alarm over N99 billion debt incurred by the administration of Ayodele Fayose.
The DMO had said the debt profile of the state, going by available records then, had increased from N18 billion during Fayemi’s era to N117 billion, under Fayose’s watch.
But Fayose had denied the claim, saying the debt of Ekiti is pegged at N59.5 billion and that it was incurred by Fayemi’s government.
However, in the document forwarded to the DMO Office which was seen by TheCable, the state’s debt profile rose from N117 billion to N120 billion within three months.
The components of the debt, according to the document, shows commercial bank loans pegged at N2 billion, federal government and state bond of N18.2 billion and N3.5 billion respectively as well as budget support facility of N16.9 billion.
There are also a salary bail out of N9 billion, excess crude account of N9.5 billion, commercial agriculture loan of N163.4 million, contractors arrears of N2 billion pension and gratuity arrears of N22.2 billion.
Others are salary arrears of N8.3 billion and judgement debt of N95 million.
Fayose secured the approval of N10 billion supplementary budget from the state house of assembly, a month to his handover billed on October 16.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has invited him to its head office in Abuja.

Health › Re: Health Benefits Of Titus Fish by macarson2k(m): 2:33pm On Sep 01, 2018 |
Lazyreporta: Oily fish is rich in omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, which have been shown to reduce inflammation and potentially lower the risk of heart disease, cancer, and arthritis. Both white and oily fish are good sources of lean protein. White fish contains fatty acids, but only in the liver, and in smaller quantities.
Cardiovascular disease Consuming oily fish can help protect against cardiovascular disease, according to the AHA. A study published by the American Physiological Society suggests that fatty fish oils can also protect the heart during times of mental stress.
Rheumatoid arthritis A study published in the Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases journal linked an average daily intake of at least 0.21 grams (or 210 milligrams) a day of omega-3 with a 52 percent lower risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Other research suggests that omega-3 fatty acids might protect against the future development of RA.
Dementia Among people who abuse alcohol, fish oil may offer protection from dementia. Brain cells that were exposed to a mix of fish oil and alcohol had 95 percent less neuroinflammation and neuronal death compared with brain cells that were only exposed to alcohol.
Mouth and skin cancers Oily fish consumption may protect against early- and late-stage oral and skin cancers. Omega-3 fatty acid has been found to target and selectively inhibit the growth of malignant and pre-malignant cells at doses that do not affect the normal cells.
Sensory, cognitive, and motor development Consuming oily fish during the last months of pregnancy can have positive effects on a child’s sensory, cognitive, and motor development, research suggests. The same study did not find that breast-feeding offered the same benefits.
Asthma The children of women who regularly consumed salmon during pregnancy may be less likely to show signs of asthma at the age of 2.5.
Protecting vision and memory DHA can protect against vision loss. Scientists have identified a linkbetween oily fish consumption and a lower risk of vision loss in older people. A study published in PLOS One indicates that eating oily fish may improve working memory.
Breast and prostate cancer One meta-analysis of nearly 900,000 women has linked a higher consumption of oily fish with a lower risk of breast cancer. However, another team found that men with high quantities of omega-3 oil in the their blood had a higher risk of prostate cancer.

Groovenaija360: On her retirement, the 49-year-old received a parcel of land According to Sarah Mutero, she has turned down many marriage proposals from suitors she had given excellent service.
A 49-year-old city sex worker has decided to retire from the trade. Sarah Mutero pulled the curtain to a trade she thrived in for many years.
After calling it quits, Mutero received a parcel of land worth Sh120,000 in Makuyu, Murang’a County. Some well-wishers have also promised to pool funds to build her a house after she ditched the trade. Stanley Ngara aka King of Condoms of LVCT- and who is spearheading a programme to retire sex workers in a humane way said sex workers have played an important role in the fight against HIV/Aids.
“Men will seek sex in all ways, but when it comes to sex workers it is a different game. They don’t accept intercourse without condoms however much men insist to pay more for unprotected sex. Society has a negative perception of sex workers but in reality, they are in the front line in prevention of sexually transmitted diseases,” said Ngara.
He added; “Their clients are men in other relationships
— and from surveys, seven out of 10 clients ask for unprotected sex. Out of these seven, five are willing to pay handsomely. If they accept such deals you can imagine how HIV/Aids can spread. We must appreciate them with a retirement package”. For 23 years Mutero had been a sex worker, having serviced hundreds of men at her hometown of Embu, Nairobi city centre and in Majengo area.
She claims she would service 20 or more men in a day in her younger years. But as age set in, hard economic times and stiff competition she could manage four customers daily. This means an average of 100 per month and for 23 years she has taken care of over 28,000 men.
“It is not an easy thing to satisfying such a big number of men, some being ruthless, yet we end up poor. We earn peanuts that we can’t even save. Everything I have earned in servicing needy men went to clothes, shelter and food for my children as well as education,” she said.
In sex business, pricing is determined by standards and location. In villages, Majengo and places like that, a session popularly called “shot” goes for Sh100. In the city centre it costs Sh200 and higher in upmarket areas.
In Majengo, sex workers rent the mud houses for Sh4,500 per month and have to close business at 11pm. She is among sellers who spent the night there while others with young children or those whose husbands are not aware what they do for living go home early.
In the sex business, she says, some morals are thrown out of the window if one is to make good money.
“If a shot is Sh100 how many men do you have to sleep with to make ends meet? Many. That is why we don’t disregard customers as far as they can pay and are above 18 years. Though I am old, young men prefer me because we treat them well, and if they are beginners we show them how to put on condoms and do enjoyable sex. My clients are aged between 18 and 35 years,” she revealed.
Mutero is among the old sex workers in the city and has decided to retire and set a precedent for her workmates, some in their 60s.
“Young women are taking over. I also find it weird when some customers we meet tell me I served them five or ten years ago. They wonder how I am still alive and in the business. I have turned down many asking to marry me, especially after I give them delightful sex,” she said.
She added; “I want to retire and settle down quietly. I am not addicted to a point I will retreat to the streets. No, I just want quiet life with my children and I am not interested in getting a husband.”
The mother of two sons jumped into prostitution aged 17 years in 1995 after a stranger impregnated her and vanished. His first-born is a form-four leaver while his second son is in form four but struggling with school fees.
“They respect me and I suspect they know I am a sex worker. They have prayed that I shift from what I am doing. I wish my children do not get into this business or seek sex from prostitutes,” she hopes.

Politics › Re: Ekiti 2018: Fayemi's Posters Flood Ekiti Streets by macarson2k(m): 6:14pm On Jan 11, 2018 |
Ekitidefender: Though yet to declare his intent to contest the July governorship election, the posters of Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Kayode Fayemi's posters have flooded major roads in Ado-Ekiti and some other towns in the 16 council areas in the state.
Fayemi ruled the state between October 2010 and October 2014, but could not secure a second term having lost to Governor Ayo Fayose.
Areas where the posters were pasted were Ijigbo, Odo Ado, Okesa, Irona, Ajilosun, Adebayo, Ilawe Road, Oke Oriomi areas of Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
It was also gathered that the posters were also pasted in other towns and villages by the loyalists of the former governor.
The poster has the following inscription: “Happy New Year 2018, JKF Again, congratulations, this is your year of supernatural transformation.”
Speaking on the development on Thursday, the Coordinator of JKF Movement, Pastor Ade Kolade, said the posters were a gesture from the group to draft the minister into the 2018 governorship race.
Kolade said further: “The minister is not aware of our action, we did it on our own and we will continue to exert pressure on him to come out and contest for the governorship seat again.

You gave criminals amnesty. . .criminals that have no reasonable excuse for committing their crimes. At least the Niger Delta militants/miscreants could blame their terrorism on crude oil disputes but these were just a bunch of never-do-wells and thugs. Now that it has backfired, you're stupidly blaming Amaechi/APC for being against the amnesty in the first place, saying they "convinced the thugs not to accept it wholeheartedly". Are you kidding me ??
Keep using these "bounties" as avenues to embezzle public funds while playing politics with your people's lives. What happened to the N200 million bounty you placed on Don Waney's head? After all, it was the Nigerian Army that found him and killed him. Did you give the funds to them? Or has the money disappeared down another channel?
I mostly agree with your posts but I have to disagree with this one. As far as I'm concerned, this man is a clown and a criminal and has no business in the government. Go and take over the government. |

madridguy: Buhari should order Gen Buratai to declare war on Fulani terrorists. Buhari is playing politics with they lives of Nigeria citizens. So Buratai and his boys cannot declare Goat Dance on Fulani. But they were fast to dance in Abia state. |
