No. It's a "jara" 1 month salary that is paid in the first week of November.

So during the course of a year, a staff gets paid his monthly salary 13 times instead of 12 times.

It is not "jara". Every standard organization does it. Apart from February, every other month exceeds 28 days, so when you sum those extra days together, you get 28, which implies that in a year you work for 13 months instead of 12 months, that's why you get the extra pay.

Paperback. If you have published the e-book version then click paperback.

It will populate the title, subtitle description, author, keywords etc.

Fill them and click next.
On second page
ISBN choose free ISBN

Paper size 6x9

Bleed (leave as it is)
Paper color - white paper
Matte or glossy = chose glossy

Upload manuscript = your msword

Upload cover
Chose use your own cover.

Check by your right under upload cover, you will see download a template.
Click the blue written word to download a cover PDF template

A new window will open.

Visit the window
Type the number of pages of your book
Choose the size example 6x9
Click download.


Open the PDF in photoshop
Copy the book cover picture you designed
Paste it to the white space by your right.

Color the remaining parts. Plain color

Now upload this cover as paperback.

Hi all. How is your kindle publishing going? So, after a tedious process of having to understand what KDP is all about sometime in may, how to do keyword research, getting my book outline, having it ghostwritten, editing, formatting, cover designs, searching for related keywords and category research, getting my beta readers and launch team involved and a whole lots of stuffs, I am finally happy to say that I have published my first ever book both in kindle and paperback formats. Kindle yesterday and paperback today but under review....And just as I was still trying to ensure there were no erros after publishing, I got a sale today. An encouragement to keep pushing I suppose. I haven't scheduled for free download, no review too, no paid promo, I haven't yet told my launch team to start leaving their reviews (waiting for the scheduled date for this). Thanks Helioshay, MK8, Bros123 and others for their public and private support. Looking forward to more progress and publising more hig quality and well researched books and I wish you the same.

The bigger your book, the more money Amazon makes, but the smaller your book, the more money you make.

So, having a big book is not a good thing. Though, if you consider putting it on KDP Select or having an audio version, then the bigger the book, the better the income.

The most important thing is the quality and knowing how to optimize for a better ROI.

I'll use my yesterdays upload as a lecture.

The shortest is 24 pages.

It has no specific word count. Your formatting and page size will determine.

3. What is the best paper size format to use?

Answer

None is the best, but I use 5.25 x 8 most of the time. In fact, I use it 98% of the time. If the book is too big or a bundle that is too big, I use 6x9 to make it fit.

4. What is the highest pages of book Amazon allows to be published?

Answer

It's 830 pages, but you need to submit not more than 828 pages. The extra two will be used for front and back cover.
