Ileke-IdI:princess, why do u keep making this disparaging exaggeration ? u hv been told it is 46% of the population, tho 43% officially, 50% of the electorate, and about 36% of economic activities. These guys are pouring their hearts out and their money to make the state livable and developed, with genuine respect for the locals. pls stop hating. |
i got this story off a friend and i wud describe it in the first person mode. My name is bola, i am married with a 2 years old daughter, i am a staff nurse at a hospital in central london, i am tired of my husband, he irritates me now, i think i shd simply send him back to Nigeria. I'm 33 and my husband Hassan is 42, i have realized now he is too too old for me. i dont like him any more but i have no doubt he loves me, luvs me so so much. His absolute love for me is killing me, making it very difficult for me to take the step i want to. jettison him. I am so confused. i have been to counselling and was advised to leave him if it has gotten to the stage it is now. i just want to hurt him. But he has done nothing to me. He left his full time job at Tesco to take care of the baby since i earned more, he does everything in the house, takes care of the baby, does the dishes , the cooking and laundry, and still work at kfc part time now and again - mostly on Sunday night and Tuesday nights. The first time i cheated on him i felt so guilty and saddened that i told him. He cried, and cried, he never shouted or rained abuses on me, he didn't fight me or threaten to leave me, he simply cried. Strangely, the more he cried the better i felt. its crazy but i became really excited. since then i have done everything i know i cud do to make him cry. really , not to hurt him but to have him cry and beg me. Now, his Visa is expiring and he wud have to be on mine- HSMP, i don't know, but i feel like send him back to Nigeria but im confused. please what shd i do ? |
Seriously it is becoming worrisome that most Yorubas -no longer their grand-father's and father's now even the exposed educated young ones, are developing envy and deep antagonism for Igbos and their achievements and benignant aspirations. What crime has Igbos committed? That a mazi Uche made a disparaging comment IMO I think is out of place, Lagos might b for the Yorubas or awori but as long as we exist as a Nigeria any individual who has spent 15 years in Lagos has same unalienable right as Tinubu and his children. Thats the constitution for u. Yorubas shd b happy to hv Igbo working and living amongst them. Igbos strive to hv a decent live wherever the live of which entails paying good money for a good apartment, even building their own house and living amicably with the locals, contributing immensely for any community projects etc. Now u can't say same for Hausa or even the Yoruba, living outside their states. In Owerri for instance u get these aboki's living in the state for 20 years with millions of cash in their possession making good decent profit from their money exchange business yet they wud not think abt merely renting a house wud rather sleep on a mat in their squlid mosque or business encampment despite having married and with 6 - 8 children ooh. Now the Yorubas, in kaduna for instance, in Nigerian breweries, despite having a greater numba of Yorubas working there and occupying the cream money spilling positions yet all the Yoruba I knew who worked there over 25, none had a house of his own, they only rented. While the Igbo in that same company even earning lesser cash most live or are building their own houses in southern kaduna- developing the area, improving the value of the land for the locals and ultimately increasing the their earnings from land sale. Provide job for the locals who wud do the building related jobs, security and house help. |
