Please brethren, I have a question.
At the point in the online registration process where we were asked if we have been mobilised b4, a friend clicked NO and completed the registration only to find out later that he had been mobilised by the school without his notice. Please what is his fate? Is this a big problem? As there is no provision for correction. Please someone should reply ASAP.

sodiqyinka: No, forget getting the call up number through SMS/e-mail if u didnt pay. And, you may or may not get the call up number through the lists of mobilized students that will be sent to schools. Even if you do get it, it wont be as early as when those who paid will receive theirs.

That is pure exploitation. Naija is messed.

sodiqyinka: Runzing with ur mobilization number is not a no-no provided you pay d 4k to receive it and receive it on time. Its not a must that ur contact must be in Abj na. Some people dey Kogi n still get mouth reach Abuja na. But it will be easier if ur contact is in Abj cos d postings wont go on forever. The time limit is there. Previous batches enjoyed this for there was a long long tym for dem to manipulate d tin. It was manual bbk den also.

In the slip I printed after online registration, it was written that my call-up number (not letter) will be sent to the email I provided. I didn't pay the 4k in the process. Does this mean the number will be mailed to me, or were they just pulling my legs since I didn't pay the 4k?

I have another question. Since the usual runsing with call-up number no longer applies, what else has changed in the process? Will our usual "contacts" still have the power to influence things? I ask because my contact is not in Abuja o which seems like where everything will be happening this time around.

Collection/printing of call up letters start in 41days, end in 43.
Orientation camps for batch C 2014 orientation exercise open in 48days.

P.S: I can also tell y'all-by apealing to authority- that the random postings have been scheduled to start from the 29th day of this month(September) and incase you are planing to influence your posting, your jamb registration and the email address you use while registering on the portal will do just fine this time. In fact, your jamb registration is valuable than your mobilization number this time around. Everybody with the right contact can influence their posting with those. Do not waste your time waiting for the mobilization number for you might have been posted before getting it.

I was just wondering, considering the fact that one is only sure he is going for service when he get his call-up number, how do we go working our posting when we are not even entirely sure we are going? It's like shooting blind and you know that bullet is too expensive to be shot blind.

I just got a honda babyboy 2001 model, while driving it, it upshifts and downshifts normally under calm situation but I noticed a problem when in an emergency. Normally, in case of emergency when the car is in motion but you need fast acceleration, if you floor the throttle, the car should downshift one or two gears depending on current speed, to be able to give the take-off that you need. This does not happen, instead if you floor the throttle, it will start reving, making noise and slipping till you release the throttle. I checked the manual and it is clearly written that it should downshift to accelerate fast. Please what do you think is the problem and the possible solution?

It's optional only for 2014 batch C. It will be compulsory from 2015 batch A.
