Touche smiley but a friend will drag him aside at any given or available opportunity to caution him. Besides telln him would only take a minute or less grin I can see you don't like to lose, I don't either sir. Sun tzu taught me that

If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle

tongue I know you skarra
Did you not read where I said "no time to call him aside"?

The other dude said punctuation went awol on one of my comments, I wonder what he will say about this comment of yours. grin Maybe the punctuation is now KIA (killed in Action) grin grin grin

am sure so many of his type will be in camp, and won't be able to adapt cos of lack of info from a forum like this. d dude just came to seek knowledge of camp experience. if his manner of approach was annoying to u, u shld HV just ignore him n let others that see things differently reply him.
Jeez! What is with you people and ignore?
Tell me what we have achieved in this country since we started ignoring.

Let me create a hypothetical situation which follows a friend telln another friend that his breath stinks amidst a considerable amount of people as opposed to another scenario where that same friend tells his bud about his horrid breath when they are alone. Pls be honest, which scenario is better?
Let me create another scenario for you. A classmate of yours is talking amongst other mates of yours (only boys) and you notice his mouth smells. He is about entering a big bus full of students from other schools and you will never get the opportunity to tell him once he enters that bus. No time to call him aside. Would you tell him when he is still with his classmates or let him find out when a fine girl he is admiring tells him loudly "your mouth stinks"?

A comma after having... then again, there's no winning with you. am nt an English major sir.
Brother, you are wrong. I actually went back to scrutinise that comment of mine, and I saw an error. I thot that is what you saw, but since you didn't detect it, I will correct it SILENTLY. grin grin grin

You could have being more diplomatic in your correction or simply ignored! He's certainly not the ist person to Gbagz on this thread.i have seen worst, I used to be a grammar nazi ,but I realised that it's better to correct someone personally like on im/pm than publicly on a youth-pan inclusive forum.

Cheers brother
It's only one who is scared of learning that will be ashamed by a correction. English is not our mother tongue and we continue learning each day. I don't see any embarrassment in "oh, sorry, it was an error" and you say the correct thing. (assuming you know the correct thing)

Why u babes like to dey nail pple for saying their mindhuh...u can just ignore if u feel it's not worth replying. It can be discouraging replying in such manner. Plz lets put ourselves together and respect others ideas.

Please what is wrong in what she has said. The last time I checked, ignoring a fool doesn't make him wise (not calling anybody a fool ooh). If you are allergic to correction, then I can only say sorry to you.

Your punctuation marks went awol? Besides him also works tongue
I'm very open to correction, man. So may I ask where the punctuation should be?

Please note, if by any chance you want to speak correct English, then you should know that that space can only be occupied by 'he' or 'she'.

I understand, but why so serious.. I don't think he would make sure error in a formal situation. Nairaland is informal or semi formal at best tongue let's pity him and let him go on a light sentence (warning).
My sentence (warning) was as light as light can be. I only brought his mind to it so that he can correct it silently if he is wise.

@macmila ready to make my first and only time in camp less stressful. By having enough money all through the orientation exercise. Apart from the accommodation given by the officials in camp, are there places inside the camp that one can pay for in order not to go through the stress of having more than one person in a room. Believe me, I used to be alone. Secondly, does anyone have any idea on where one would likely be posted to depending on their state of origin. I'm from Edo State but reside in PH.
Young man, I'm not trying to antagonise you oo, cos I have nothing against you. But a simple word of advice, stop talking like you have all the money in the world because of your Dad cos that's pathetic, considering you are a married man (that is what your profile suggests). I'm very sure we have very rich ppl in this thread but no one has ever mentioned these kind of things you are talking about. It's called a camp because that is what it is, A CAMP. You don't expect hotel rooms and room service in a camp. If you are not strong enough to go camping, then why bother? You used to be alone in a room, I see. Maybe everyone else in this house used to be 20 in a room and possibly 5 in a bed.

This is supposed to be a thread for graduates and if I must rephrase, learned men/women, so you should know better than to allow such "errors" fly. Besides he won't learn if he is not corrected.
