The most annoying aspect is that they are being screened without knowing which ministry they are to head. This is sheer waste of time.
PoliticsRe: How Bukola Saraki's Trial Confirms/Expose The Insincerity Of Buhari And APC by maddock(m): 10:51am On Sep 22, 2015
@OP
There is a parable that says who brings ant fested maggots to his house should not complain when Lizard starts paying him aa visit. so what do you expect for the party APC stop sit down and watch saraki run amock with its hard earned victory. Saraki started this dirty fight when he usurp his party instructions and so he should chin up and dance to the music being played.

I only pity gullible Nigerians joining the fray, our concern should be guys should be quick with your fight and get down to real governance, because it is obvious that they really want to fight and nobody can stop them from fighting.
PoliticsRe: Saraki: Apc Deputy Publicity Secretary Writes Open Letter To Buhari. by maddock(m): 4:53pm On Sep 20, 2015
Is Saraki the only former governor? Idiot statement from an idiot. The number one and number two had declared their asset, so he is not the only former governor but he is currently the number three.

Why playing to the gallery? Today is Saraki day, tomorrow would definitely be tinubu, amechi or fashola turn, believe it only a matter of time.

TonyeBarcanista:
That the card reader captured 290k voters doesn't translate to ONLY '290k' voters were accredited. I'm well aware that majority of electorates voted without card reader due to mal-function of the reader. There is NO section within the Electoral act that nullifies voting without the reader. The petitioners are yet to prove their allegation of electoral malpractice. It will boil down to forensic analysis and checks whether the votes were inflated or not. IF inflated, the tribunal will CANCEL the identified inflated votes and examine whether a re-run in the affected areas will be able to affect the result. I make BOLD to state that the APC petition is DEAD on arrival and an exercise in futility
Really like seriously? Do you really know how to read?

Did you miss the portion he said "So, the total number of 293.072 accredited voters was arrived at by adding successful accreditation and failed accreditation.”

what should i term u?
U mean a president in nigeria dont knw people from other regions, n u think u making sense?
What s d concept of building alliances, why seek those regions vote when u knw you dont knw any credible people from that region?
Before election apc when d head is okay d rest of the body will be okay no matter how bad d body is, why change concept now? We still hv police men extorting money from motorist everywhr, most times i querry d drivers for giving them n they will laugh at me. The head is now okay but nothing has change with d body, u guys thought once buhari enters everything will fall back in place, but reverse is d case.
33 out of 36 ministerial nominees fails screening, but buhari na strongman na, the present kingkong of africa, he will tame any corrupt politician,,,, y him no employ them n tame them?
Go and sit down jare. So because he is the president he is supposed to know everybody in the whole of the country? The people that are supposed to make recommendations to him are the same people we are reading about issues of corruption and mismanagement of public funds on a daily basis in the media. So what is he supposed to do approach PDP to nominate for him? Knowing people and vouching for what people can do are two different things. Is it everybody you know you can sign a letter of undertaking for? When we criticise we should do so with common sense. The major problem Jonathan had was because of two many people bringing in their loyalist to hiss government. So at the end of the day instead of them being loyal the president, they look up to their godfathers. If we continue in that same line I bet you, nothing would change in this nation.
PoliticsRe: DSS Dismisses Marilyn Ogar - New Telegraph by maddock(m): 11:30am On Sep 03, 2015
lordtosan:
Buhari keeps witch-hunting those who didn't support him during his election in the name of fighting corruption as he has also side-lined the south-east simply because they exercised their constitutional rights to vote for their choice candidates.
Buhari should know, like Femi rightly pointed out, that as a national politician, if people reject you, if they are not convinced by you, you should want to know why. Then you build bridges and begin to cultivate friendship, making necessary amends where possible. You do not go out of your way to emphasize parochialism, reinforcing their original fears
Haba your hatred for Buhari no allow you to see road ni? Did Ogar comport herself as she ought to during the last administration and elections? It's just that Nigerians don't know how to resign else should have resign long ago instead of waiting to be sacked.

PoliticsRe: Alleged Diversion Of Chinese Rail Loan Untrue by maddock(m): 7:29pm On Aug 16, 2015
It's time we start visiting the competence of some of these so called perm sec. Just the other day the aviation perm sec was the one that briefed the president about the international airspace being reported to be managed by the Ghanians. Now with this clarification by NOI, is it that the perm sec of the finance ministry does not know what he/she is talking about?

Meanwhile PMB should start double checking any information gotten from these perm sec to avoid unnecessary embarrassments.

So why didn't Buhari take back d Airspace when he was in Power in 1983 if its true?Since he claims Ghana has been managing it since 1945?

onegig:
So radar control which is the ability to detect and communicate with planes means control over airspace ?

Do you mean Benin and Togo who's airspace are being controlled by Ghana also dont have total radar signals over their airspace?

How dumb can you guys get?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghana_Civil_Aviation_Authority

here is a quote from the wiki page of GCAA

is Nigeria not part of the Gulf of Guinea?

oh I forgot your high school geography teacher died and you thought Nigeria is surrounded by the Pacific ocean abi?

If you dont understand what this means, all flights heading to Nigeria(e.g flights from south africa and so on) and coming over the Gulf of guinea must communicate with the Ghanian airspace authority before they are handed over to the NCAA when they exit that Region.
Hahahaha his geography teacher would have died due to his ignorance which knew no bound.

Who gave the order? Buhari. If he could take credit for power supply he knows nothing about then he is responsible for acting on the perm sec briefing
OMG such an "intelligent response" from you. I give in its no use engaging someone in a discourse when the mind is already made up. Is the issue about who gave order or not, the issue is who has been managing our airspace, period!

Under Jonathan / Stella, we celebrated a total radar coverage of the country's airspace extending to the territorial waters. Where did Buhari got his info from. It is time we insist on ministers and special advisers. This is not military era of one man show.
Oga read the article very well. It's the Perm Sec Mrs Bello that briefed the president about this matter. So the issue is that it's either the Perm Sec does not know what she is saying or the Ghanians are telling a lie.

READ THAT YOUR MANUFACTURED LOGIC AGAIN, AND ASK YOURSELF THIS QUESTION, THAT BETWEEN YOU AND BUHARI NA WHO MUMU PASS?
Truth need to be told na you Mumu pass because what the chap said is the truth. Perm sec said ghana dey manage airspace, ghana said we no manage. So if ghana dey talk true den it's either nobody dey monitor or somebody dey hide monitor and chop money. I break am for pidgin because it's obvious you have a problem understanding english.
PoliticsRe: Ghana Does Not Manage Nigeria’s Airspace - GCAA by maddock(m): 10:54am On Aug 13, 2015
This matter shows that PMB certainly knows what he is doing. The Aviation ministry have been doing briefing since 1945, I don't think any of the president had even bothered to ask this very simple but pertinent question. The hatred for the President have made so many folks to think with their anus instead of brain.

It was the perm sec Mrs Bello that told PMB that the airspace is being managed by the Ghanians. So if the Ghanians are saying the truth so we are left with 2 scenario, that is either our airspace have been left unprotected/unmonitored since 1945 or someone been feeding fat. Both ways I smell some serious shit about to go down.

If you wailers can read properly in the Punch report it was the Bello that told PMB that Ghana have been managing the airspace since 1940s. So all this shit is not about PMB but the former goverment, like someone rightly said here somebody somewhere have been collecting monies and doing nothing then.
PoliticsRe: Anti-graft War: Many People Are Now Scared Of Buhari – Gbagi by maddock(m): 1:11pm On Jul 31, 2015
Classic piece from gbagi. Nigerians are in for a shocker. Every day you see folks all over the social media running their mouth like they know anything at all. I love mr gbagi analysis about the DSS and the service Chief, wen an intelligent person speaks it is not too hard to understand.

PMB is clearly on a mission and am so positive Nigerians would be better off by the time he is done. Who says PMB would not make mistakes along the way, of course he would definitely. Nigerians are a bunch of impatient people that thinks PMB would bring in bullet trains in 4years. To put Nigeria on the right track would require another 8 to 12years, and PMB contribution would be to lay a foundation while another goverment would continue from there.

I really do not understand this nairaland o.Is it that we have too many kids that are primary school pupils here or too many shallow minded people posting on this topic.

The op is simply saying we spend too much time on frivolities, that instead of focusing and talking and comparing pmb car to gej car, we have a more pressing issue which is the billions being collected by the legislators some whom are already millionaires and billionaires. So we as nigerians should quit majoring on the minor.

InvestmentRe: Chisco Transport Buses Burnt In Lagos By Hoodlums by maddock(m): 8:49am On Feb 23, 2015
luvinhubby:
There is a difference between sentiments & reasoning.
Sentiments rationslises the realities & reasoning weighs the facts as presented.
You saw the pictures of the burnt buses, packed within the premises of the Chisco company, under the bridge at Costain where they are located & the only thing that did not 'add up' to you was the number of buses burnt & that the CEO did not speak.
The reporter who went there, like i did, told us what happened & extent of the damage & instead of you to condemn the despicable act, sentiments pushed you into querrying extent.
That was wrong, condemn what APC thugs did, that's all.
First of all I must commend you on your mature response. But am not in any saying that it is right to do have burnt even if it's just one bus. But my point is that news like this could cause a very big problem for us. If you take a look at the reaction to this issue, if nairaland were to be a physical place I dare say houses or cars belonging to APC would also have torched. The matter have not been investigated and APC found culpable, but everybody is already fingering APC. Just because an onlooker said he say the campaign rally of APC. Let's be wise and don't allow politicians to use to destroy ourselves after ensuring their wards are safely in abroad.

InvestmentRe: Chisco Transport Buses Burnt In Lagos By Hoodlums by maddock(m): 8:18am On Feb 23, 2015
Am really short of words, see the way lot of us here are played emotionally. I dare say if nairaland were to be a physical gathering of people 90percent would have gone on reprisal attacks. But truth need be told, someone asked a very important question or made an Important observation..

25 buses burnt? How can 25 buses be burnt at a go when the situation is not that of a demonstration or even. war. According to the report explosive like object was tossed into the premises and for 25 vehicles to be burnt just like that, it means the explosive must either be planted in the premises or being thrown continously. Taking a look at this statement "An employee of the transport company, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told our correspondent, that the damage could have been worse if not for the quick intervention of some employees of the company who sprang into action to salvage the situation when they noticed the fire" They noticed the fire but I thought explosive was tossed into the company premises? Even the staff that spoke was under the condition of anonymity. Are they telling us for a company that just lost 25 buses, it's CEO, MD or PR Manager can not issue an official statement?

This stories doesn't really add up and it is just a way of pitching us against ourselves and that is exactly what is happening. If we can not reason out issues and think rationally, then how in the hell are we different from those killing in the guise of getting 7 virgins in heaven.
