Nairaland GeneralRe: Banning Of Beaf, Rhino5dm, Aisha And Others Unnecessary, Illogical Or Autocratic?. by maddock(m): 6:09am On Jul 01, 2011
What beaf banned? Thot someone said Beaf was Ima Niboro abi kini orukwue bobo ati GEJ Special adviser. And he is fighting tooth and mail to prevent uncle rueben from taking his job. No be me talk am o,I only heard it here o. But I think the Mods are doing an excellent work because at times its very frustratin reading through some topics because these days u don't see meaningful arguments on some thread but an "intelligent finese" in insulting and abusing people.I wonder if nairaland where to be like the senate then throwing chairs would be too small as we would be shooting and matcheting ourselves everyday.
EducationRe: Okorocha Orders Refund Of School Fees by maddock(m): 8:51pm On Jun 21, 2011
Looking at some of our remarks here, its no surprise that we Nigerians are the cause of our problems so so pessimistic. Some of us here are wishing and praying that Okorocha fails so as to justify their warped way of reasoning. When school fees was hiked what developments did we see in the schools? Our line of reasoning is that Owelle should succeed so that other states can start holding their governors responsible for these things that people think are impossible to do.
PoliticsRe: If A Nigerian Sets Himself On Fire In Front Of The National Assembly: by maddock(m): 6:06am On Jun 16, 2011
I have seriously thot of asking this question for a very long time. IMHO people would say like somebody earlier said,it is well and eeeya. The parents would visit the poor lad in the hospital covered in bandage, and ask the doctor pls doctor can you removed the bandange in the face area because I wan slap dis my foolish pickin. But seriously Nigeria is just one unique country that if you continue trying you would definitely make it one day either positively or negatively.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu A Supplanter - Awo's Granddaughter by maddock(m): 5:14am On Jun 10, 2011
Unnecessary rants from Awo grand daughter,ur grand Mummy did not exactly toe in your grand daddy footsteps and you expect people not to notice. But seriously why is Tinubu trying all means to fit in the shoes of Awo? Both men lived in different times where things worked differently so IMO he should be himself and let Awo be.
PoliticsRe: Shocker! The Only Cpc Gov. Ready To Decamp To Pdp! by maddock(m): 7:19am On Jun 08, 2011

PoliticsRe: Onyekachi Ochei Emerges Speaker Delta House …uduaghan Storms Out On The House by maddock(m): 7:02am On Jun 08, 2011
If you are claiming the "delta ibos" are being short changed what would the ukwuani man say. The Ikas and the Aniochas are always given the juciest positions from whatever is meant for the aniomas with little or nothings left for the ndokwas. At times I feel so ashamed as an ndokwa man that seeing the state of backwardness of my area makes me feel like crying. So what the Igbos are doing to your so called aniomas is also the same thing that Ikas, oshimilis, aniochas are also doing to the ndokwas.
PoliticsBreaking News: Bombs Go Off In Multiple Locations In Maiduguri by maddock(op): 3:36pm On Jun 07, 2011
This just came in from a friend in Maiduguri, that bombs are being detonated in maiduguri randomly. At last count about 7 have been detonated. Casualty figures not know yet. This Boko haram issue is really getting out of hand.
PoliticsRe: Why I Visited Bankole - Police IGP (Ringim) by maddock(m): 6:47pm On Jun 05, 2011
To prevent the EFCC from doing their jobs is rather unfortunate but coming out to deny publicly is an insult our collective intelligence is uforgiving. All these people can never excape nemesis for all their attrocities done to this great country.
PoliticsRe: Bankole: Efcc In Emergency Meeting: All Bec Of One Man: by maddock(m): 12:14pm On Jun 05, 2011
@playmode. Boko haram are 2 different scenario, bh has the tenddency to take innocent lives but bankole would bring his ill gotten wealth to develop their economy. So it is absolutely impossible for them to revoke his Visa. But na God go punish all of them that are shielding these criminals.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Ambassador To Kenya: Son's Side Of The Story by maddock(m): 6:37am On Jun 02, 2011
Someone that can't manage his small family of 4, being chosen to manage the affairs of a whole country in another country. What an irony! Anyway back to the issue, I am an apostle of hearing both sides of the story before passing judgement. Hope those of us castigating the poor man will have a rethink? Someone said its possible the boy is taking sides with the father because of money, I really don't think so not that its not possible. But for him to live with his mother all this years and take side with the father against the mother would mean he has been harbouring deep resentment and hatred against her all this years. IMO this is very unlikely.

Mul
Multinationals (Shell Mobil, Chevron, Total MTN, Accenture) no name calling, your boss can deal with you during appraisal if he thinks you are less competent for your job.
Which multi-nationals are you talking about? those one that polluted our lands abeg talk anoda thing. MTN ke! Maybe you didnt read the op post. I think you should go back and read it, then come back to tell me since when making a mistake in any organisation is a "award giving act"

If you work for well organised company, they should have anti harassment rules. Ensure to document the scene may be have a witness or record voice on phone, then report the case.
No offence meant but pls can you kindly name any 2 organised company in Nigeria that you think or know have anti-H rules and would or reprimand a boss for calling his subordinate silly? Maybe my organisation is an mgbeke organisation.

Outstrip:
It is not an exxageration. A female manager in Nigeria made her staff do it. It was in the news and I believe it was even discussed on this website. Maybe the hands up and closee yoru eyes was not part of it LOL but they were actually told to do so.
Stuffs like this are not mare exegeration. I have heard of senior managers being told to kneel down and raise their hands in Nigeria by their bosses. Whatabout a certain governor being slapped in presence of his commissioners by his godfather. Or a governor who is supposed to be the chief security officer being arrested on order of his godfather by the same police officers that are supposed to be answereable to him. So being called silly is not big deal in Nigeria setting, people have seen worse and dem no kill themself.
CareerRe: What Will You Do If Your Boss Calls You Stupid? by maddock(m): 2:17pm On May 21, 2011
@henryhemon

My point is you should stop sulking because your boss called you silly, believe me other people have seen worse. I really dont care what people say because am not what they say i am. If your boss is not cultured or professional to realise how to communicate with you then thats his problem. And on the other hand if you are not matured enough to handle whatever is being thrown at you especially at this stage in your in life of MOVING UP, then its your problem too. Calling you silly IMO is not a big deal lets face fact. Some people here are just talking thrash about beating or slapping him, that a very unwise advice. Dont be deceived in Nigeria people go through worse. Thank God he didnt say you are STUPID,DUMB, DULL, A DISGRACE,AN EDUCATED ILLETERATE, A LIABILITY TO THE COMPANY blablablah. I have seen people being told stuff like this and they smiled and continue their work. It doesnt matter what people say about you, what matters is how you see yourself. If a teenage old girl could all the way from uk insults a whole Obama, then make we leave matter for mathias.
CareerRe: What Will You Do If Your Boss Calls You Stupid? by maddock(m): 6:47am On May 21, 2011
The fact is if he calls you silly ,ARE U REALLY SILLY?

It depends on what blunder you committed and the type of person your boss is. I have people working under me and at times calling them silly is an understatement as i feel like whozing them slaps.lol

But the real question we should be asking you is, what did you do? From your post i can see that you are REALLY SILLY by saying YOU ARE NOT BEING PAID very well when you have not told us what you did to warrant you being called silly. I think you should resign and stop tormenting other people with this NOT PAID VERY WELL altitude of yours. lol
PoliticsRe: El-rufai Passes Vote Of No Confidence On Jonathan, says Buhari Was The Best. by maddock(m): 6:09am On May 21, 2011
I have a couple of questions and I don't know who might b in a better position to answer
1.I thought votes are supposed to be counted in all the polling units after due accreditation and voting. To which the resident electoral officer would announce the number of people that have been accreditated and later the results which should tally with the number of people accredited .If yes where does the isssue of multiple thumbprinting comes in, the other parties do they not have their party agents present in all pooling units to monitor the whole process? IMO if the results were supposed to be announced in all for instance 2000 units and you have you agents there in all 2000 units. At least by the end of the elections by doing you mathematics you should ave an idea what's the total figure
2. The biometric issues can't the prints from the thumbs be extracted and scanned on INEC main data base to ascertain who register and who voted more than more.At least that would help us in prosecuting all those that fraudulently participated in these elections. Am tired of reading about different people whinning about the conducts of the elections.

PoliticsRe: Okorocha Freezes Imo Accounts by maddock(m): 6:22pm On May 14, 2011
Me tink lot of us here are missing the point.Of course Rochas for now does not have any legal authority to freeze the account neither doed the bank obeying his directive. But the issue here is common sense, obey Ohakim who has less than 20 days in office and disobey Rochas who would be in office possibly 4 or 8 years God willing. Now all of crying illegality if you are to make that decision as the bank MD, what would you do?
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Freezes Imo Accounts by maddock(m): 4:44pm On May 14, 2011

PoliticsRe: Okorocha Freezes Imo Accounts by maddock(m): 12:20pm On May 13, 2011
@ Dede
I dont know anything about you, but your post smacks of being very ignorant about the actions and inactions of our politicians. Politics in Nigeria is all about the money, all of them outgoing are all interested in last minute grabbing. How many of them corrupt politicians have been successfully convicted for looting and mismanagement of public fund (apart from the ones that fell out of favour). If i where to be in Okorochas shoe, with the way politicians behave in Nigeria( looting and stealing) i wont only write to the bank, i will also announce in NTA,CNN, Aljazeerah etc. that any bamk that honour any cheques is on its own. Even if its for the salaries of the worker, workers have gone without salaries for months before, only a month longer this time around wont kill them. Go to the goverments offices of outgoing and you be amazed at the way back dated memos are springing up for contract that was never awarded.
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Freezes Imo Accounts by maddock(m): 10:49am On May 13, 2011
@mbulele and blacksta
I quite agree with you it is very wrong but a situation where high level corruption and looting is the order of the day, this measure is a welcome one. You will be amaze at the various memos for contract being backdated and the money collected all the bid to steal as much as possible. Majority of them politicians in nigeria are mentally unbalanced. Did you not read about the Bankole loan issues that surfaced this week, what is the outcome of the mata i can very well bet my last pence that it has been swept under the carpet. Lots of illegality are being perpetrated on a daily and if you wait to counter them the legal way it might just be too late.
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Freezes Imo Accounts by maddock(m): 10:30am On May 13, 2011
Na wah for una o. There is no argument here at all, as a Bank MD you dont need to be a guru to know that the main ""koko"is the word of the Incoming (Okorocha) and not the outgoing (Ohakim). Okorocha does not need to go to court to freeze the account by mere pronouncing it all banks supposed arrange themselves. Or else be rest assured that the next 4 years no goverment deposits. So tell me if you are the bank MD would you ignore the directive?
PoliticsRe: Pdp Rolls Out Zoning Formula For Top Political Offices by maddock(m): 7:51am On May 12, 2011
@alexleo It couldn't have been said and delivered better as you have done it.Most of us here are so tribalistic that we can't see clearly. Having the position of any of these key position does not in anyway translates to actual development in that region. All them politicians are the same, but let's just hope with the new injection this dispensation would be different.
