eina:You changed the write up ![]() My answer to THIS question, it depends, his he part of my set,a work mate, family friend.I want to know what may be hidden ![]() I am still sticking to my 3 months theory,if he's really keen he will wait it out, if not sorry to say this but "plenty more fish in the sea" I can always break my rule if I feel like it. |
^Yes I gave u addy some time back, ![]() |
^^ok, washing my hair .Let me answer the 1st question in 2 parts, if you mean the short stint I did as a buyer, the store dealt with a lot of the factorise, they made the fabric, other factories made up the designs. Quite a few ranges were purchased from china. I also saw how the top buyers worked with the BIG NAME designers, they only purchased certain ranges that would sell in that store. When my ex bf went to Italy we had individual designs made for us (2) each 100 pc min, the quality was even better than RB, art jeans, they are no longer in fashion.I can give you that contact for jeans, they are great, GIGIESSE CONFEZIONI SpA, NAPOLI ITALY. I also tried to source from china. Some years back I sold the cashmere juicy couture ts, so I tried to get some made with my brand name. I sourced via Global Sources. |
^check ur hi guys thread. @Poster sorry for going off @topic. ![]() |
@ayettemama Thought it better to continue the discussion on Your thread. Well, started of with display asst, then went onto my real then Field, visual merchandising and then, did a stint as a buyer. Mostly all at Dickins&Jones Regent street, before they closed down, ended up buying for that major "other" department store on Oxford Street. What else did you ask me, were did I source in Italy, well he went to the factories, I hmm did drawings of hmm of roberto cavalli stuff. I am not a designer and I did not keep up with the market, you know you have to have a great knowledge of celebrities, they have a big hand in what sells now. I also sold most of the wax fabric garments that my sis-in-law got made up in Nigeria. |
iice:You do not pull any punches. But once again you are correct. Kill that "love" as quickly as possible. It will save you a lot of pain. ![]() |
Dark lilac , the brightest colour I have ever used . |
Did you mean to say "shouldn't" cost that much. Well yes I agree but high end whatever, clothes, jewelry, cars, they name their price to a point, but they do have very high overheads (well most) Do you remember I told you I used to be a buyer, but then I fell ill. During the 2 years I had off I started selling clothes (sold other things too) online. The 1st things to sell were my DEOLA bits, then all my wax stuff sold. I asked my ex bf to look into the NIGERIA side, he said it would be better to source from china, hmmm, then he went to Italy to get garments. |
The the clothes shown in the 1st link look high quality to me. If I had a business partner based in Nigeria I would defiantly think about doing business in that field. I hope I did not say "they" anywhere in my replies ![]() |

^^Yes the clothes I bought from the Nigerian shops in the UK, the wax fabric did come from Holland, then they sent the fabric to Nigeria to be made into some really FAB styles. There was a Nigerian guy, ubber trendy he had a shop very near to my family home in Dulwich Village. The stuff was fantastic, lots of TOP QUALITY linen that had been made up into the latest styles, with very classy embroider work.Sadly the shop rents in that section went sky high so he closed down. I think the WHOLE market is opening up to wax fabric? trend, but in the UK it's a bit seasonal, I only wear them in the summer. Are you saying office/white collar workers cannot wear trad wear The @Posters links shows that things are on the up, so give it time ![]() |

^^ Oh I see every day clothing. I meant all that lovely clothing that the Nigerian and Ghanaians use to make in abundance, I even use some of the Ghanian hand woven fabric for art works. They weave the fabric with your name intwined. You are right though, most of the wax? clothing the Nigerian shop oweners sell in the UK comes from china. It would be wonderful if we could get some of the clothing the @Poster's link shows, it would sell like hot cakes. |
eina:1ST Question, the way he presented himself. 2Nd Question, never never the guy with the behaviour problem (trying to shake of one such tick who recently landed on my behind )The facially/bodily challenged guy with nice behaviour would be my choice, he can be titivated and should look OK after some good loving. |
