I don't want to go into how I find out but let me cut it shut they are Fulani farmers from northern Nigeria, they find out that southern farmers are growing stronger and that is a trait to their business. Their intention is to destroy any crops they can see so that they will continue to supply food stuff to Southerner. I know some people can't believe me so if your looking for their sponsor look for northern farmers. |
Politics › Re: NDLEA To Test All Nigerian Students For Marijuana, Other Drugs: Marwa by madmohamed(m): 4:27pm On Jan 25, 2021 |
tociano009: Chairman/CEO of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa, (Retd) has given commanders of the agency in all the states of the federation and special commands marching orders to mop up illicit drugs across the country.
He gave the directive during a meeting with commanders of the 36 states, FCT and special commands on Monday at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja, where he also hinted of plans to seek government’s approval to conduct drug tests on tertiary institutions’ new students, security agencies’ fresh recruits and all newly appointed government employees.
While telling the commanders who briefed him on their posts and areas of responsibility that he’s honoured and proud to serve as Chairman of NDLEA, he said “all commanders must be desirous of keeping drugs out of Nigerian streets and homes, and so all of you must shape up and get all those engaged in the nefarious business to face the music, and I need results from now on. Our maxim will be offensive action. This means we must go all out constantly on the offensive against the bad guys.”
“The success we make of this particular task goes a long way to determine the socio-economic stability of the nation. We need not be told of the nexus between drug use, crime and criminalities. The exponential growth of the nefarious drug activities can be directly linked to the upsurge in crimes such as insurgency, terrorism, kidnapping, cultism, political thuggery, gangsterism, rape and other maladaptation bedeviling today’s Nigeria.
“It is not going to be business as usual. It is a moving train. Please, let nobody stand in its front. The train will crush any such person. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. To the unbending drug crime perpetrators, I would like to let them know also that the game is up! It is high time they embraced another trade. The Federal Government’s policy on agriculture is a window for them to leverage on”, he added.
He said he would put more efforts on drug demand reduction as part of plans to eradicate the scourge in Nigeria. “While strengthening our enforcement activities, we will equally devote a lot of efforts to prevention, treatment and after care and focus on family/parenting, community, school systems, advocacy to all groups through traditional institutions, religious bodies, media, NGOs, CSOs, state and local governments among others. We will rehabilitate our rehab centres, make them functional while more will be built,” he stated.
He said he would soon propose to the government “the necessity for drug tests for all tertiary institutions resuming students, NYSC members, new workers, all security agencies new recruits and random tests for government appointees. NDLEA is ready to help and we must help.”
Gen. Marwa who also expressed his determination to run with the “National Drug Control Master Plan, Our Road Map”, said toll free call centers/ help lines will soon be set up for the use of Nigerians ready to give information or seek intervention from the agency. “Ours is a national assignment. Drugs have littered everywhere; every community. We will lead the fight and we will succeed. Make no mistake about it, it’s a collective effort,” he told the commanders.
While assuring them that their welfare is a priority to him, he said the suspended training of newly recruited personnel would soon resume once appropriate clearance from relevant authorities is secured. “Issues of welfare of staff of the agency of paramount importance and urgency. It will be tackled. I’m aware there are no barracks, which is not conducive for your line and kind of duty. This as well as operational and logistics issues will be looked into,” he assured them.

Politics › Re: Are My People Wicked For Doing This Thing to Other Nigerians? by madmohamed(m): 1:43pm On Jan 25, 2021 |
iLegendd: In my place, here in Rivers state, almost everything is free, but the things that aren't free are as expensive as food items in Abuja.
What are the free things
1. School (except University) 2. Light (free for more than 14 years — thanks to all the numerous multinational companies here and a good MOU). 3. Water (no license for borehole + the ones the companies built). 4. Free scholarship for primary, secondary, and uni. 5. Small money to buy land as an indigenous member. 6. Ponds and lots of land for farming.
Unfortunately, we don't sell lands to Igbos, Hausas/Fulanis or Yorubas.
This place is already rich — as long as oil doesn't run dry and you know how to take your share.
So, the king doesn't want any "developer" who will later say they made this place what it is and the created the law of not selling lands to foreigners and if you use deceit or a third-party to purchase it and you get caught, you're in soup and the land will be taken back.
We enjoy peace here because of this law — our only problems are cultists, but luckily, we have a good security outfit now. I mean, jazz men wey chop witch — the moment they sight you from afar, they already know the atrocities you've committed and are tracking you down at all cost. They are mounted in different checking points like police.
They don't hand them to police — they send them straight to Heaven. They used to hand over to police, but they'll take bribe and release them 2 weeks later. Now, no more police involved.
The place is the most peaceful place in Nigeria now. The only thing the youth do now — since they can't commit crime is to (secretly) smoke weed or get a skill that'll fetch them money.
People walk around at any time unlike before. You can walk on the street holding your iPhone without anyone snatching it from you. You can go to the bank and withdraw lots of money without anyone tracing you unlike before.
The reason I created this thread is to ask a question. Are my people wicked for not selling lands to others? Or are they smart?
If we are wicked, tell me why. If we aren't, tell me why.
P.S. By the way, all the ethnic groups are here doing businesses peacefully, owning shops and enjoying free water and light, but you can't build a house, you can only rent from an indigene.
Most of the shops are rented by Igbos followed by Yorubas. Sixty percent of the bike men are Hausa/Fulani (they'll soon ban this one day to avoid trouble). The trash pickers, watch sellers, suya, etc. are 99% Hausas.
So, we are actually accommodating and friendly, but we don't want trouble, so we started mitigating from foundation. The reason Nigerian is crumbling is poor foundation.
So, are my people wicked or smart? I will like every community bar foreigner from buying land from them. That is how people will develop their town and city but op one day your king will bar River man from buying land from your local government too in my village we don't sell land to any stranger we must know who you are so you are not the first to do that. |

MelesZenawi: You Are Igbo, Don't Succumb To Pressures To Arrest Sunday Igboho, Kanu Tells CP Ngozi.
IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, has advised the Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Ngozi Onadeko, not to superintend over the arrest and killing of a popular Yoruba activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, otherwise known as Sunday Igboho, and other agitators over the continuous herdsmen attacks.
On Saturday, the IPOB leader stated that it was better for the CP to resign than to allow the arrest and killing of Igboho and other protesting Yoruba youths, as had been subtly approved by the Presidency.
Kanu added in a release by IPOB spokesman, Emma Powerful, that the CP, being an Igbo woman, must not succumb to the Federal Government's devices to silence the South-West agitations.
He said, "You are an Igbo woman, so I expect you to be reasonable enough to know that the Fulani IGP posted you to Oyo to superintend the arrest or possible killing of Yoruba youths to ferment enmity between the East and the West at this critical juncture in the history of the liberation of all indigenous peoples across Nigeria, including you and your family.
"I will advise you to resign honourably from your position as a certain Yoruba CP did in Abia State when he declined to order men under his command to open fire on IPOB protesters.
"I am warning you not to do anything likely to jeopardise the safety or well-being of Sunday Igboho otherwise you and your family will have the might of IPOB to contend with. The silly game you people always play in that zoo will no longer wash with us.
"Suddenly Fulani have realised that appointing an Igbo woman as Police Commissioner is a good thing because they want to use you. Nothing should happen to Igboho."

Politics › Re: Buhari Asks Police To Shoot Sunday Igboho, Followers On Sight - Peoples Gazette by madmohamed(m): 4:42pm On Jan 23, 2021 |
tociano009: An irate President Muhammadu Buhari has endorsed the use of lethal force against Sunday Igboho and his supporters if they continue to “disturb public peace” in Oyo State, two police sources familiar with the matter told Peoples Gazette on Saturday.
Sunday Igboho, whose real name is Sunday Adeyemo, has been at the forefront of a controversial and illegal attempt to drive Nigerians of Fulani origin from Oyo State. The Nigerian Constitution accords all citizens the fundamental rights to live in any parts of the country, but Sunday Igboho and others have been riding on the anger of Yoruba political leadership against rising herdsmen violence to issue confrontational directives of their own.
Sunday Igboho led an army of his followers to Oke-Ogun parts of Oyo State on Friday, leading to a bloodshed that involved the razing of the home and other assets of a famous Fulani chief.
“The president was briefed on the matter and he said Sunday’s action can disturb public peace and it should stop,” a police chief told the Gazette by telephone Saturday afternoon. “We were told from IG’s office that the president has asked for Sunday Igboho and his followers to be shot at sight if they continue pushing to drag Nigeria into a civil war.”
Another police source told the Gazette that police Inspector-General Mohammed Adamu was seeking an alternative approach.
“He does not want to flout presidential directive, but he has been talking to Yoruba leaders to find other means of preventing the matter from escalating,” the senior police officer said by telephone. “A possible trip to the South-west is also on the table.” Both senior officers sought anonymity to discuss internal police communication.
Presidential spokesman Femi Adesina did not did not immediately return a request seeking comments about the president’s order, which could escalate brewing ethnic tensions if carried out by the police.
But earlier on Saturday morning, another presidential media aide Garba Shehu told the BBC that Mr. Adamu had sent out a signal for the arrest of Sunday Igboho and his supporters, leaving out the controversial shoot-on-sight directive of the president.
Mr. Buhari has a history of supporting bloodshed in Nigeria. As an opposition, he provoked his supporters to lynch hundreds of citizens after losing the 2011 presidential poll to Goodluck Jonathan. In December 2015 and October 2020, Mr. Buhari respectively supported the military massacres of over 1,000 Shi’a adherents in Zaria and dozens of anti-police brutality agitators in Lekki, Lagos.

Business › Re: Dangote, Adenuga, Rabiu Make Africa’s Top 10 Billionaires’ List by madmohamed(m): 1:00pm On Jan 23, 2021 |
Aprokodaughter: Aliko Dangote of Nigeria is Africa’s richest person and has maintained this position for straight 10 years, according to the 2021 Forbes’ Africa Billionaires List released on Friday.
Also, Mike Adenuga of Globacom, and Abdulsamad Rabiu of BUA Group, both Nigerians, made it to the list as the 5th and 6th richest persons in Africa respectively.
Forbes stated that in Africa, as elsewhere in the world, the wealthiest came through the pandemic just fine.
It stated that the continent’s 18 billionaires were worth an average $4.1bn, 12 per cent more than a year ago, driven in part by Nigeria’s surging stock market.
“For the tenth year in a row, Aliko Dangote of Nigeria is the continent’s richest person, worth $12.1bn, up by $2bn from last year’s list, thanks to a roughly 30 per cent rise in the share price of Dangote Cement, by far his most valuable asset,” Forbes stated in its report.
The list named the second richest person in Africa as Nassef Sawiris of Egypt, whose largest asset was a nearly six per cent stake in sportswear maker Adidas.
At number three was Nicky Oppenheimer of South Africa, who inherited a stake in diamond firm DeBeers and ran the company until 2012, when he sold his family’s 40 per cent stake in DeBeers to mining giant AngloAmerican for $5.1bn.
It said the biggest gainer this year was another Nigerian cement tycoon, Rabiu.
“Remarkably, shares of his BUA Cement Plc, which listed on the Nigeria Stock Exchange in January 2020, have doubled in value in the past year,” the report stated.
That pushed Rabiu’s fortune up by an extraordinary 77 per cent, to $5.5bn, adding that Rabiu and his son together own about 97 per cent of the company, giving the company a tiny public float.
It stated Nigerian Stock Exchange required that either 20 per cent or more of a company’s shares should be floated to the public, or that the floated shares were worth at least N20bn, about $50m, describing it as a paltry sum, to be sure.
“A spokesman for the Nigerian Stock Exchange told Forbes that BUA Cement meets the second requirement,” the report stated.
It added that while some got richer by the billions, two from the 2020 list of Africa’s richest dropped below the $1bn mark.
In fact, the only two women billionaires from Africa had both fallen off the list.
Forbes calculated that the fortune of Folorunsho Alakija of Nigeria, who owns an oil exploration company, dropped below $1bn due to lower oil prices.
It said Isabel dos Santos, who since 2013 had been the richest woman in Africa, was knocked from her perch by a series of court decisions freezing her assets in both Angola and Portugal.
It stated that the 18 billionaires from Africa hailed from seven different countries.
South Africa and Egypt each had five billionaires, followed by Nigeria with three and Morocco with two.
Altogether they were worth $73.8bn, slightly more than the $73.4bn aggregate worth of the 20 billionaires on last year’s list of Africa’s richest people.

According to SaharaReporters, the settlement of the Seriki Fulani of Oyo State, Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadir, has been set ablaze.
The place was allegedly set on fire by aggrieved youths on Friday night.
Abdulkadir told SaharaReporters in Ibadan that he, his wives and children were sent out of the settlement, adding that 11 vehicles and houses were burnt in the process.
He told SaharaReporters that despite assurance by the police and the people of the state, his house was burnt in the presence of security agents.
He said, "As we speak, we are in the bush. Our cars, numbering about 11, have been burnt. Some of my children sustained injuries and we are looking for a way to get them to hospital. My children have left their houses for the bush. We need the government to help us. Police, Operation Burst and other security agencies were there when they set my house ablaze."
Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association in the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Jiji, also confirmed the incident to our correspondent on the phone.
He said, "As we usually say, not all Fulani people are evil. Good people are among us. What can we call this now? The man is a gentleman and see how he was chased out of his house. We need the government to act now," he said.
https://www.tori.ng/userfiles/image/2021/jan/23/seriki1.jpg
Sunday Adeyemo, an agitator for Oodua Republic, better known as Sunday Igboho, on Friday visited some Oyo communities to confirm compliance of Fulani people with the seven-day ultimatum he had given them last Thursday to leave Ibarapa and Igangan areas of Oyo State.
Fulani herdsmen have largely been blamed for the growing cases of killing and kidnapping in southwestern Nigerian.
Speaking with SaharaReporters early Friday morning, he affirmed his decision to visit the communities despite the threats by the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, to arrest him.
In a video shared online, Igboho was well received during his visit to the Igangan community as scores of people converged for his reception. The people were seen jubilating; dancing and singing.
https://www.tori.ng/userfiles/image/2021/jan/23/seriki2.jpg
Addressing the people, Igboho said, "The Fulani have gone, we have sent them out of our land and they cannot come back again. Kidnappers cannot rule over us, they can't take over our land from us. It belongs to us; they should stop threatening.
"Those who live with us peacefully; we are not fighting them but how will a visitor claim one's house from him. If you live with us in peace, we have no problem with you but if you decide to kidnap and kill us, we don't want you here. I assure Yoruba people, particularly those in Oyo State, that there is no danger.
"This one we have started here in Oyo State will not end here. We are going to other parts of the South-West. Tell Fulani herdsmen in Ekiti State, Ondo State and Osun States; in fact, in all South- West states that they should get ready for us because we are coming."
In an interview with SaharaReporters, Igboho also alleged that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari had not brought anything good to the people of the South-West except social vices.
Igboho, therefore, called on the president to take the Fulani out of Yorubaland.
"Buhari should come and evacuate his people from our land, we don't want them again. They are just punishing the youths; they have turned us to nothing, why? The educated youth don't have jobs, nothing, the gain now is to kill and kidnap us. We are still on the unemployment issue, we have accepted our fate, should we not be in peace and enjoy security again? It's enough,” he said.
Earlier in the week, Igboho also alleged that when he visited Seriki Fulani of Oyo State, Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadir, at his home to urge him to do something about the killings and kidnappings being carried out by suspected Fulani herdsmen in the state, some Fulani people there threatened him with guns and also shot at him.
He alleged that one Fulani man also brought out an axe to threaten him.
