Nyesom Wike Governor of Rivers State has expressed anger over the current state of the nation, saying there is nothing like Nigeria that needs to be celebrated.

In a video obtained by DAILY POST, Wike was sighted speaking during a sermon in a church as part of activities to mark the 2021 Independence Day.



Governor Wike, who referred to the country as an old man at 61, said Nigeria is characterized with hatred, division and enmity, stressing that some persons in authority are hating a whole state because of an individual.

Some suspected gun-wielding Fulani herdmen have abducted three Chinese workers and killed a policeman in Akere village, Ifewara town of Osun State.

The gun-wielding herdsmen abducted the expatriates at a mining site in Ifewara town after shooting sporadically in the area.

Ifewara is the hometown of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

It was learnt that the herdsmen were armed with AK-47 rifles.

The incident was confirmed by the Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NCDC.

Spokesman of the state Command, Daniel Adigun disclosed that the incident occured on Monday.


Adigun confirmed that the three expatriates were abducted and a police escorted was killed during the incident.

He, however, did not confirm if the abductors demanded for any ransom.

Yesterday I confronted one igbo man talking rubbish against my tribe although he headed up apologized for his misconduct.

Im on my way home yesterday and I saw a friend and I packed beside an igbo shop to greet my friend. After we exchange pleasantry we are still discussion.

There a grew up igbo man reading news from his smart phone telling his wife that there is a protest in all Yoruba's states. He went forward by calling Yoruba coward that Yoruba's people that don't want to speak against crime committed by herdsmen and we are happy that federal government marginalized his tribe.

I let him talk the whole rubbish and I went to meet him Young repeat what you said now dude said regard what I told him you called Yoruba coward he said no he didn't say that, that he was just condemned fulani occupation in the region.

I am not a member of IPOB and while i have always admired Nnamdi Kanu's courage, i don't like a couple of things about him. But without mincing words and at the risk of sounding immodest, Nnamdi Kanu is the (unofficial) leader of South East Nigeria.
