Amigoz:Lol, I'm feeling The Reason (they're like a fitter, older version of The Wanted ). As for that Gamu, I respect her effort but I don't see her moving past the judge's houses .Nicole replace who?!? She made an impact but she's like a painkiller that becomes unnecessary once the pain is gone . I still want Cheryl and Dani back, they balance things out! Nicole will just be too much. We already have one diva (Simon) - and that's enough! |
wouldn't dipping with moyola or ogugua though-especially now that maedan has denied me her soup!
aaw, you know I would if I could, lol. |
Who is fan-ning her ?? Anyway she should stop that slit-eyed look cos it doesn't fit her. She looks like someone slapped her right before she took the pic. |
Liverpool fans stand by your boys . They are a winning team, it's time they/we start believing that! And by the way. . . YNWA 2010 and beyond!!!!!! ![]() |

Gamine:That's true: I'm watching out for a boyband or two in there . They are far meatier than JLS , so I hope they go far. I still love my JLS tho', but I want a boy band to win this year. |
Well well well. I have racked my brain to think what more can be said to ease the wounded feelings of all those concerned. Yes, I laughed at the yabs (I'm only human -) but let us face facts, there are some places/shops that Nigerians are well known for frequenting when they want to shop abroad. Keke has said he does not shop there. Mayhap True Religion is unique, compared to Gap or Next which are popular. However where he stepped out of line was how he insinuated that "Nigerians" are common and broke unlike he who is loaded and a "boy scout" . When a man calls himself "Boy" what does that say ?? No wonder that "Have You See My Childhood" is sooo perfect :Dm |
ada24:I still don't know what came over him when he said that. $10 underwear, lol. It's quite cheap, really. He spoke the truth about that at least. |
Ooow, my eyes, my eyes . Need shades to view these pics, soo blinding. Na wa o. Ego deyy. |
Idowuogbo:That's true. But I must give honour where it is due. Haba, so I can't laugh again ?? Kai, just thinking about the song and video and imagining Keke singing it . Much respect to MJ (RIP), but this is just the perfect song for this occasion . Abi did I send Keke message ? He didn't dash me any of the designer wears in his walk-in wardrobe-room . |
usbcable: ![]() Yeeee!! My gosh. Of all the insults that have been rained on him from page one, I must say, this is the funniest. When ever I am annoyed or bored I will come back and read it again . Aii, you people are wick-ed ooo . |
Idowuogbo:Lol, ok o. But Keke has always liked to brag, from day one, about the stars he had mixed with in the US before he came back to Nigeria to make his name with D1. They made noise about a lot of things, so I'm used to it, lol. The interviewer asked him the stupid questions about his clothes, so I blame him for the stupid answers. Keke should have been more humble about things, because Nigerians are very sensitive - and besides he is not so well-loved so he can't afford to offend anyone. |
Joecoollorenzo:This your poem dey very inspirational If you be writer, you go dey sensational ![]() For this place you go always have a space And we all go ever fit together like satin and lace ![]() |
I've always been a fan of Keke and D1, I follow them on twitter and try to catch their tv/radio shows when I can. I respect them for their contribution to the industry and was always surprised at all the hating they got from some folks. However this statement by Keke was obviously a case of him being carried away, maybe he was quoted out of context. Perhaps, where he shops, he only sees white folks there. I wonder which shop in this world that Nigerians don't step in and spend loads. What baffles me is that he's not among the top 200 richest people in Nigeria, so where does he shop that the other 199 richest people don't shop? Misguided fellow. Let us forgive him . |
hax:Hell to the no ! Was trying to help a brother/sister out, but I guess y'all know it all already. So I'll leave you to it . I'm officially washing my hands off your matter, Pontius style !!! |
Thread's not even worth the (inane) reply, but what the heck . Got to fill my daily quota of posts . OK seriously, you guys are embarrassing yourselves. Think of the new members. Think of those who look up to you . (??). OK, that was inane enough for one night. Ciao. |
hax: chiogo:Lover's tiff already? Geez, you guys can't even get the e-love right, what're your chances with the real thing ?? Lol, I could teach you, but I'll have to charge (humming Kelis' "My milkshake brings all the. . ." OK, kidding!!!!!!! Lol. Like I said before, get a freaking room!!! . |
Of it class, Spartacus is the most standard episodic movie i have watched since 'Rome'. With a bit of fiction blended with historical facts. Evenit fighting styles is similar to the combats in Frank Miller's 300, even more augmented. I don't see how religion was reflected as a problem in Spartacus: Blood and Sand. If you did a bit of history, you will understand that back then in Rome, there was only one faith and that was their traditional beliefs in Gods/Animism which comprises of specific rites attributed to each one of their deities, all these and other beliefs where borrowed from the Greeks, and the Greeks in turn borrowed extensively from the Egyptians (Ancient Egypt and not Ptolemic or other periods) via the Assyrians, Syrians, et al. I also think religion ought to have come first in your list before politics, then sex should be the last, and to me, sex is just part of man's instinctive nature to perpetuate which is also a necessity. Believe me Religion is the root of all the problems in this world most especially in Africa. Why? Because, before Euro-america (i.e. The Western World) turned to capitalism, they were in the conquering business for so long until they realized it's not as lucrative as it used to be, They began phase 2, as if all has already been planned out, they (The Romans under Constantinople) syncretized and nurtured an immature religion in the middle east, Christianity, a still-growing faith they never really paid attention to in the first place when they were still up-high and mighty. They appended all the once genuine histories, events and stories of all the nations they had conquered and colonized in the past, with a normal dose of distortion fused it with Jewish Judaism, various semitic beliefs and a bit of Greek myths and viola - The Holy Bible. Another instrument to conquer heathens and infidels throughout the world and appropriating their undeserved land in the name of an Holy Crusade. 'Pope' a title proclaimed to represent God's second-in-command on earth bestowed with divine authority would sanction such heinous deed as the one that ended Galileo, Then, the Pope was the final authority on Earth. Back then, so many great minds (Scientist, Renaissance man, etc) all couldn't voice out because of persecution so they formed various sodalities where there could secretly share and discuss scientific inventions and discoveries among themselves, few of these society (e.g. Priory of Scion) survived for some time on the condition that they represent a Roman Catholic sect and support Papacy, Enough of my digression, back to how all this affected Africa, Yes, In Phase 3; In the guise of spreading the gospel they r4ped Africa off it resources (Slaves,Minerals and Materials) to develop their war-ravaged lands in Europe and America, I wouldn't be justifying their actions if I'd say all what they did to us would have been fair only if they hadn't forcefully sold us a concept of a proselytizing religion of Christianity and the Arabs - Islam, because Africa - An almost utopian society whose inhabitants never complained to anyone about their indigenous faiths, never tried to conquer others in the name of my God is better than yours, never wrote any letter of 'Requesting Civilization Here' to the whites, never wage massive large-scale war like the war-mongering Mongols did; a distant cousins of the Europeans. Imagine two black Africans arguing fervently about Christianity and Islam and I am always like these guys shouldn't be involved in these two semitic religions in the first place just like one would find it weird and rare to see two Japanese or any oriental arguing about Christianity and Islam in schools. Now that since the 19th century, Euro-America have realized that Phase 3 would soon expire, they created an economist and capitalist society, a model any nation should emulate, Industrialization is the status-quo today and he who controls the world economy rules the modern world, but they left their religion problems here in Africa which is still our bane. I know I shouldn't have brought all this history to this "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" thread but hey, that episodic movie is all about history too, it was the third servile war in Rome brought about buy a man-turned-rebel who was enslaved and whose homeland (Thrace) was brutalized all because of a mere disagreement and ego. And besides, I watched a documentary on Sierra Leone titled Cry-Freetown, It was about how its people were being slaughtered like pigs all because of diamonds 'a symbol of love' in the western world and when I tried to ponder real deep about the main cause of all these Africa problems, one would realize they all boil down to religion and not only in Freetown alone, but all the strife, despair and wars in Sudan, Somalia, Libya, Nigeria, Rwanda, etc are deep rooted in Religion except for apartheid South Africa. I have once thought to myself that in 10,000 years to come, blacks can never be capable of masterminding the kind of wars Gaelic,Welsh,Breton,Saxons,Celts,Germans,Gauls,Goths,Gauls,Aryan,Arabs,Mongols,Balkans,Cossacks,Scandinavians,Slavs, etc etc (So many of them) have waged among themselves externally and internally. So many War books written about all their histories, they've all fought countless number of wars from Battle of Naseby to Battles in Iraq - No one can keep count of them. Inclduing the Arabs and the Asians too.
Good grief!!!! |
Sooo, we can watch the shower scenes and the h-mates making out in the bath tub, but we can't forgive a woman-basher heh? It was a mistake, he should have stayed. It was just one punch, not so?? Not like he went "Chris Brown" on her ass. If he had done a "Rihanna" on her, maybe then he should have been evicted . |
