BoboYekini:It is the very fact that we are women that we know exactly what they are going through and have the right to say, what is the big deal. Because this is neither the first or last time women, whether in sports or business or politics, will receive lesser treatment than their male counterparts. If we rile like you at every slight to our fellow females, we would have killed ourselves long ago by the effort. We don't need, don't appreciate all the male ranting here bc deep down we know you all are just patronizing these poor girls who have the sense to "manage" what they have and deal with it all with the dignity, smiles and good nature they have shown. |
joganut:Good, sensible question. People venting here have a right, of course, but it is groundless and a waste of time. Almost like venting at the corrupt political climate or the wretched economic situation the country is now in. Coming to NL to blow hot air like they care. Any of the female footballers reading all this junk will now feel stupid for doing the trailer run, while there was really nothing wrong with it by Nigerian standards. And yes, I said it: Nigerian standards, not freaking "western world" standards like that clown in military uniform (bidemi12) expects from a country like ours. |
usbcable:You are the biggest FOOL for joining your filthy spit with others who think they can insult another person for a different opinion from yours. I ask again, how much is the female national team worth, how much is even the male national team worth? How much does the government have to spend on female football? What do you want them to do with the little resources they have, but to "decorate" a trailer, which looks very clean, neat and presentable? This is not Hollywood or even America where they can afford to blow money on a proper trailer. This is a third world country, this is a female football team, deal with it. And all that your yoruba shit you spouted, back on your head, hundred times, big goat. |
bidemi12:Who is this imbecilic clown?? Like seriously? Stuff your advice up your crack, ok. A poor country with poor facilities, poor funding of female football, still managed to hustle up a "trailer", which to me looks like a good effort, considering the lack of interest in female football compared to male soccer. My point: the government did their best, the girls did not see any harm in it, so the fuss on this site is unnecessary and just empty noise. So piss off with your western world crap, you clown in uniform fighting to die in another man's country. It's yeye fowls like you Asa was singing about in Fire on the Mountain. And you dare to insult me. |
Erm. . .big deal? It's obviously clean, well prepared for the occasion, so what's the fuss? They are even trying for being so intelligent as to improvise. How much money is the female team worth anyway? Let us be thankful on their behalf that they even got that much attention. |
denzel2009:Naaw, he's just too nervous. His "Mad World" rendition was OK, and he has the looks, which helps. But you're right, sometimes he has no tone, no rhythm. But somehow, he stayed in on charisma alone. Didn't last, though. |
denzel2009:Be honest; the guy has budding talent. His best performance was at the very beginning, with Gold Digger. Since then, his mentor has been giving him wrong songs. I believe in giving people a chance, and he deserves it, I think. |
I don't think the results are rigged, either, but they use it to suit their selfish ends. Last week when Katie had the lowest votes, they didn't let it go to deadlock, but allowed Cheryl to confuse issues. That their cup will soon be full, cheaters .Missing Aiden already . Lol, no more eye candy. One Direction and Matt are cute, but they lack the *intensity* of Aiden . |
The Saw series are definitely the scariest movies ever, and looking at the trailer of Saw 3D the latest instalment, I think I'd be incapable of watching d full movie. |
Lol @ Sinita, maybe it was in their divorce settlement that he promised to "carry her along". Or is she blackmailing Simon to put her on the shows, lol. |
Lol @ madlady, of course I remember u now, plus d topic (fear of trains, books, lol) Yes the iPlayer comes up with You're Fired when you search The Apprentice. I usually find it in their list of popular shows. |
Lol, @madlady, why wait till 11pm Sunday?? I catch the episodes on BBC iPlayer, just search The Apprentice. |
coded777:Well you better forget her bc I know you can't really be 100% sure she was busy "banging" some other guy when you called but I promise you, her hands are not clean . To save yourself extra wahala just start afresh, haba. It'll be easier to forget her and find another love than to stay with her and be biting your nails wondering where she is or what she's up to every five minutes. |
Gosh what a thread, reading so much esp about the fathers sleeping/impregnating their child-daughters. I mean like, seriously?? It's very very common but I never understood it except some men have no control at all esp when it comes to innocent young girls. |
Na wa for the yeye guy with her who allowed her to pick your call when they were so busy . OK seriously I avoid this Romance section bc you hardly know who is being real or just making up long tales. But to give you the benefit of doubt, next time pay more attention to your relationship. Some girls are so wayward that if you take your eye off them for a second, a smart guy will just bump in and destroy what you've built up. They might not even be serious, just messing about but she loses you and of course, you don't want her back. Just forget her sha and next time make sure you follow-up on your future chic.Take heart ok . |
mystikal:Lol, they're just feeding us their rotten family/mafia rubbish, everyone is connected somehow by blood - not family blood, but the blood of innocent pple they are using to make their millions . I mean Simon has the British public by the balls, he will suck them dry before they see him for the fake he is. I just keep praying he will be disgraced soon. But somehow I know he'll bounce back again. It's just the way he carries himself . Can't stand the fellow myself. |
Lol all you guys messing with strange girls you met in the market, allowing them to buy your food for you, just take care ok. I'm not saying they can be witches or mammy water but try not to get too close to a girl esp one who is so emotionally fragile. I always warn guys, don't encourage a girl for what ever reason. I mean don't start what you can't finish. Many guys are stuck with marrying a pregnant girl they never dreamed of settling down with. A word is enough for the wise . |
Skidoc:These people esp Simon and the producers are all FRAUDS. As for that Katie, all the singers who have gone because of her must hate her by now. If I was her I'd do the honourable thing and just go jeje before the next show. If she's in the bottom two next week and still she stays, I'll know she is a greedy witch . Fame-hungry vampire, lol! Gosh, sorry, I'm just so sad Aiden left. So maybe he had the least votes (very hard to believe) but he didn't deserve to go after being there for just the first time. I hope now that Matt, Mary, Rebecca know they aren't safe against the vampire called Katie Weasel!!! |
aysometin:Lol, that was really funny though . Just thinking about it, hmmn. . .pple will boycott the show if it happens! Abeg let me watch X-tra Factor and enjoy my last glimpse of Aiden. Such a fine boy , hope we see him again soon on a record label! |
the crazy thing is there is no sane reason 4 keeping kaTIE in, she cant sing
Katie is not a bad singer, but I can't stand her voice and would never buy her record! There's just this way she comes across, like a really irritating soul. I've always liked Aiden; he looked like a real star even though his singing was hard to get used to. I mean he's the only one on X-Factor that I even bothered to download/buy one of his songs (Mad World); that's how much I admired him. E no go beta for that Katie, by next year no one will even remember her name ! |
They should stop this stupid sing-off, we all know they've made up their minds who to vote off. Aiden was not the best singer I'll admit, but he was definitely not the one with the least votes. It just doesn't add up: he's there for the first time, while the girl who's been there four times goes scot free. We all know about the "leaks", we all know he was definitely not the one with the least votes. He had more votes than Paije, I bet you. I am ashamed of this X-Factor now; I never knew these oyibo too can do 419 . |
mystikal:Lol, her sweet timid personality is good for a studio singer, who never does much live shows or tours. She'll sell records but it'll get boring listening to her perform twelve or more songs on a live show. So unless she jives up and shows us she can move on stage, then sorry. Even Sade Adu used to bust some moves, haba. |
@ poster it seems you're right; it can be embarrassing at times. I mean, with all the quacks in the industry, who can't even express themselves, but get media jobs due to their "connections". Nigerian youths/children just have to find their educative material elsewhere. Thank goodness for the internet, cable etc, where they can hear what real English sounds/looks like . |
Lol, nice joke, but poor delivery . |
martyns303:Wow, this is so cute, could have been good enough for a story book, but it's much too "real", lol. Is she not your type? Is she in a different "class" from you? Some guys would not date a girl whose status was "lower" than theirs. But you've already said she's pretty, so I guess you feel some interest in her. However, I suggest you discourage her from developing any feelings for you, as it's merely infatuation and won't last. You can also do her a favour by avoiding her/the market. Sorry but you can't make everyone happy. She'll get over you in time, don't worry, lol. |
sara j:No wonder!! And she didn't want to vote bc she'd have to choose Katie, and pple will of course think she was racist or something for dropping TreyC. I really pity Katie bc they are just using her; I mean they must know she can't win, and no one really likes her so no one will buy her records if they sign her up on their label. So either way, she loses. I just hope she doesn't have a breakdown in the end of all this fiasco. |
What a show, lol. Liked Rebecca, of course, but I don't want her to win; she comes across as very timid - so unless she shows her funky/bold side soon, then she should settle for top 3. Paije doesn't do anything for me, can't believe he's still there. But if he goes then there'll be no more "blacks" in the show - unless you count Rebecca, of course . Matt, Aiden, Mary are comfortable choices, while Cher is 50/50 with me. I like her music, but not her personality. And that pixie face . Katie, Katie. . .just go, will ya? I mean, like seriously, bottom two for the last three weeks, doesn't that tell you something?? As for the judges, Simon is getting on my nerves. One day he's going to be disgraced big time. Maybe by one of the other judges, or by himself. No one man can be 100% right all the flipping time. Who does he think he is, a deity?? Naff off . |
thameamead:Yep, Sandeesh is winning on looks alone, even Chris, while being called back to the boardroom, complained on her behalf . Such selflessness! He was like, "I understand about me being called back to the boardroom, but why Sandeesh?" BTW, was her pitch that good?? I preferred Jamie's!! She didn't smile, didn't engage, just blabbed out the words. I guess looks really matter in the corporate world!!! Alex was a real nice guy, everyone loved him on You're Fired !! You know those kind of sunny, happy people who only see good in the world and in other people. Now the house is full with the real players, let's see who'll be the next scape-goat, because the nine people left are just too smart. I just can't guess who's going next. Stella looks like a good one to win, and of course Christopher (the guy who played the husband in the commercial ), Jamie the good looking one, and Chris who looks like he'll fight you if you fire him , very menacing! |
thameamead:Lol, I've seen the ads once or twice. One yeye black brother telling his yeye younger sister how pretty she looks, then she slams the door or something. I'm going to hate it, but I'll watch it . Well, at least one episode, then I'm done !! |
thameamead:Naah, I doubt it. So long as she keeps that "innocent" face on and always acts the "victim", they will be unable to resist her. And of course, releasing an album every few months also helps to maintain her ongoing image. She's going to be around for a while - at least, until she leaves for the US. |
madlady:Lol, you're welcome babes. Hoped you watched both shows this week. They were TV gems !!!Wow, even when Alex was messing up right from the beginning of the whole show, I never ever wanted him to go. This time I felt he made a lot of mistakes but I was still sorry that he was fired. There's just something about him; always positive, good-hearted, and too nice for the business of back-stabbing. I'm really starting to dislike Sandeesh because let's face it, Alex did her a favour by picking her for the pitch, then encouraging and helping her thru it. But in the end, she never said a good word to help him against the others. This is why he brought her back in. And I applaud him for that. However, she seems to be a favourite with Lord Sugar who may be mesmerized by those her kohl-lined eyes . |
.
. Lol, no more eye candy. One Direction and Matt are cute, but they lack the *intensity* of Aiden
.
. Can't stand the fellow myself.
, hope we see him again soon on a record label!
.
how could I have forgotten that also, what have I been doing for the last year.
