Okey the man (KennyG) was right grin

But Hate Cheryl Cole is trending on Twitter
She has really done herself in, How in the world did Katie or Cher get in??
I like Katie, but i don't think she deserves the spot at this point.
Gosh, didn't you see she was crying more than the contestants themselves! It's never easy saying no to anyone, especially people so desperate to be mega stars. I feel for those two that were rejected the second time. But such is life. let's face it, there's not much of a market for them out there. I mean, who will buy their CDs?? Sorry, but reality is harsh. There will be only one winner so even the last 12 acts have a lot of disappointments ahead of them. They will wish they dropped out at bootcamp sef!
CelebritiesRe: Keke Ogungbe Said "i Don't Shop Where Nigerians Shop Abroad" by maedan(f): 10:53pm On Oct 03, 2010
Gosh, will someone please tell Mr-Cork how to correctly spell "NO OoOFeinse"??! He uses the phrase more than anyone on this site yet he doesn't know how to spell it.

@ topic, Keke and D1 glamorized our music/entertainment industry, I'll give them that much. They put some "hollywood" in it with their shows, their label, etc. They acted as catalysts for the musical acts that followed, so let's give it to them for that. But as for this shopping issue, chei, Keke, you FAIL! (as my waffi pple would say.)

Please please please, no hate or hooliganism on this thread. We don't mind a little ribbing or a wisecrack or two, after all the team is on a losing run for now. But anyone that wants to spread negativity should just spread it elsewhere, haba. The thread is titled Liverpool F.C. FANS zone. So I don't know what all the haters are doing here. Go and start your own "Liverpool Haters" topic abeg. Nonsense and ingredients. I don't know why pple won't just L.L.A.!!!!

RomanceRe: Will You Date A 20 Years Old? by maedan(f): 10:24pm On Oct 03, 2010
I always feel happy when I see two teens (boy and girl) dating, it looks very natural and wholesome. Also, seeing a young couple, seems very acceptable to me than seeing a much older guy parading with a girl in her twenties. But every one has their tastes, some girls prefer dating older men, while some guys feel more comfortable with a mature girl of their age group.

snowdrops:
Nice arguement. If its all about who would connect most with the public, then theres no need for boot camp or judges house.
They should just send their favourites straight to the knock out stages.
That's what I've always been saying. They spend so much money hosting 8 or more people in their homes, even if it's just for a few days, but it's just prolonging the torment for the many that they (the hosts) have always known they will not put through. It was sad to watch the losers crying, or seeing the looks on their faces. But Judge's houses is a popular stage of the show. So it must be done, lol.

Cheryl is a very very bad judge
I hate to say she is racist!!!!
Cher n Katie messed up, how can they have places when people that sang their hearts out have to go home, Mschewwww,  i am so pissed right now, idiots
Yes they messed up, but the other girls that didn't make it had some things missing that are very important. Judges have to think of issues like, can they work with this person, will the public pick up the phone to vote for him/her, and can they make exciting live TV?? Cher and Katie have something eccentric and unique about them, while Rebecca appeals to the public, and as Cheryl said, she has a very good "spirit" that makes you just want to be her friend.  As for the groups, boys and the over's tongue, I don't have much to say. Too much make-up and polishing by the production team will make a lot of these folks lose their natural quality that we loved them for. But let's wait and see.

Don't mind these tribalists. Nigeria's first literary Nobel laureat is Yoruba (Wole Soyinka), so what is the noise about ethnicity. I'm glad for her as a Nigerian, even tho' she's been away for 5 yrs.

Yup, especially Glee. Madonna (already a huge superstar) has been enjoyed renewed success from this generations teenagers. Thanks to Glee.

But I knew almost all songs performed. With exception to these two, that have now become my faves:

Crush - Jennifer Paige
I Dreamed a Dream - Les Miserables, now I've even gone to see the show live.
Wow, lucky you; I'm reading the book now (read it once before as a child, lol), and I got to watch the movie off iTunes (Les Miserables). But nothing tops the live stage show! About the songs on X-Factor, some I know, while some sound interesting and I just have to find it on the web. There was a contestant who sang Mika's "Relax, Take It Easy" and I'd never heard the song before, but I loved it so I googled it then got it. The contestant didn't get thru' but I'm glad he sang that song, it's really great.

TV/MoviesRe: X Factor: John Adeleye by maedan(f): 6:30pm On Sep 29, 2010
Cher is really really good, the way she twisted up the song she performed at bootcamp, wow! And it's funny how a song gets popular once it's sung by one of the contestants. Turn My Swag On by Soulja Boy, Proud Mary by Tina Turner, and Roberta Flack's First Time Ever I Saw Your Face were all sang by some of the contestants and these songs are now on the top 10 R n B charts. I'm always doing that, too; when someone on X-Factor sings a song that sounds cool, I go out and look for the original. This is what Glee did for a lot of musicians, it gave their songs free publicity.

Lacrissa:
Where did you get that info from? or conclusion? A 20 year old girl can date even a 30 year old man and above, nothing wrong with that.
Nothing is wrong with that?? Where did you get that info from? Or conclusion? Please you can agree with me or not, but don't ask me where I got it from. I have a brain, you have yours. Make up ur own opinions and ideas and stop asking dumb questions. It is obvious to me that even 50 yr old men date girls 20 and below, such is life. But ideally I would advise a young girl to "date" within her age group. The key word here is "ideal", not reality as things are different in the real world.
RomanceRe: Will You Date A 20 Years Old? by maedan(f): 12:14am On Sep 29, 2010
20 yr old girls should date 20 yr old or 20-24 guys. Unless you are in for a serious relationship ie marriage, then you 29 and above should leave such young girls alone. Huh!
CelebritiesRe: Keke Ogungbe Said "i Don't Shop Where Nigerians Shop Abroad" by maedan(f): 11:42pm On Sep 28, 2010
Lol @ harakiri. Are you comparing a Hollywood megastar to a Nigerian socialite? Na wa. No one is saying he shouldn't brag (not that he has much to brag about). But he should have been more careful about talking down to his fellow Nigerians. That's where he put his foot wrong.
