Of course you cannot...

Apparently, sticking to facts and substance (instead of rolling in the mud of personal insults) completely threw you off, but let me know what was apparently too difficult for you to comprehend about the factual assertion that Nigerian government-owned businesses have repeatedly failed and that Nigerian governments have repeatedly shown no capacity to successfully run businesses, and thus we should not persist with what has repeatedly failed us. SMH
You are getting ridiculous...

Are you saying that Nigerians have an existential problem with making government endeavours work/thrive?

My friend think stuff through before hitting the keyboard...

A conscientious leader will out round pegs in round holes to ensure that processes and initiatives work.

The fundamental problem is that the so-called leaders themselves embody graft and official recklessness thereby confirming the aphorism/truism that one cannot give what they never had in the first place.

The problem of Africa begins and ends with the quality of leadership...

You dont spend tens of millions either to sink a borehole or to design a website which in each case cost a minutiae of their actual costs and then turn round and expect your followers to do otherwise.

The law of sowing and reaping is universal, my friend...

I will leave the gutter of personal insults to you and stick with the substance of the discourse... SMH

First, we are discussing govt-owned businesses in NIGERIA, and hence the specific reference to "Nigerian govts are ill-suited thereto".
What is the rational basis to compare Nigerian government(s) with those of China, India, South Korea, Singapore and other Asian Tigers?

Meanwhile, South Korea did NOT develop its economy using government-owned businesses. Instead, the government supported and protected the PRIVATELY-owned chaebols (which were oligarchies and even monopolies), when in contrast many in the Nigerian chattering class regularly blow the proverbial gasket when the CBN as much as SELL (emphasis added) foreign currency to Dangote to build the world's largest single-train refinery that would employ hundreds of Nigerians (from engineers and other professionals to unskilled and artisanal labor) while saving Nigeria billions in imported products and even earning forex for Nigeria. Ultimately, our OWN history should be our best teacher!
I am afraid I cannot get the thrust of your assertions.

Sort of wide off the mark...

Why must we Nigerians insist on repeating failed methodologies ad infinitum?
How many government-owned "factories and industries" will fail before we finally grasp that Nigerian govts are ill-suited thereto?

The maintenance depot at Awoyaya-Lekki (there are two others located at Yaba and Oshodi) is also an assembly plant where the projected future batches of these buses (only 820 of the projected 5000 over the long-term has been acquired) are planned to be produced LOCALLY - but pursuant to a PPP arrangement. The proper primary function of government is to make it easier to conduct business in Lagos, and a more efficient, effective and comfortable public transportation system (hopefully encompassing rail in the near future and water transportation) would substantially contribute towards that end.
Oga, I dont want to sound snarky but there is no intellectual input in what you wrote above.

There is more to critical thinking than rehashing hackneyed phrases, mouthing cliches and surrendering to the pull of group thinking/herd instinct.

Who told you that it is a taboo for government to lead the way in industrialization and job creation?

Ever head of the countries called China, India, South Korea, Singapore and other Asian tigers?

Wake up guy, the bus has left....
Politics / Re: See The Fleet Of Intelligent Buses That Buhari Will Commission In Lagos (photos) by maestroferdi: 10:45am On Apr 24, 2019
Why not commission factories and industries which will create employment and value to society?

Why must Lagos remain synonymous with BRT and buses? Fashola did it, Ambode did it and this Sanwo-Olu chap will also do it...

What is wrong with black people? You are helping promote Chinese businesses and think we should be applauding you?

Your 2023 politics is also to “punish” yorubas

Are you saying that no matter the performance of Ifeanyi Ubah in the Senate, you will punish him in 2023, regardless of the capacity of his opponent and his own performance in the next 4 years?

Very foolish politics I tell you!
What is the sense in what you are writing?

A law maker is a representative of the people who elected him to promote their interest...If the lawmaker begins to champion his selfish agenda without considering the interest, worldview and peculiarities of the person who gave him the mandate, then he should be ready to pay the ultimate/supreme penalty...

Arthur Eze has been sponsoring elections in SE right from time even in Anambra but he has never succeeded in Anambra, Emeka Offor contributed immensely to why Ohakim didn't win, he financed Rochas heavily against Ohakim.. Arthur Ezeh is the noiseless Jagaban of Igbo land. He is everywhere. He sponsored Ikpeazu who renegaded later and their battle became public engagement. He can conveniently throw in N1bn into a campaign but it usually comes with a huge price. That huge price is what Imo people should be worried about.

If indeed Arthur Eze contributed financially to the emergence of Ihedioha then he Arthur should be the one who should worry....
