chrisagyei: We're not a small nation. We have the second largest population in West Africa and 2nd largest economy in West Africa. We don't care what Nigeria does with its money buh currently, there are 4-5 million Nigerians in Ghana and far far more Nigerians in Ghana than any other country in the world except Nigeria of course. We arrest and prosecute any person who commits a crime without fear or favour and our media is ranked 1st Africa and 21st worldwide ahead of even UK and the USA in the World Media Freedom. We can't censor their post, they even insult the president and nothing is done to them.We can't tell them what to post. You guys feel too arrogant buh if course that's not my concern. We just want to maintain our minimum crime free and serene environment which attracted millions of Nigerians to engage their legitimate activities in the country at the first place. And about we doing without you, even the Great America is currently having serious issues with a less than 15 million population North Korea and upon all sanctions,North Korea still survives much more Nigeria who can't even put her acts together threatening to make Ghana suffer if it removes their insignificant investments from our country. This man...you will make a poor comedian... I live online and I am yet to read anything worth my time published by a Ghanaian platform...so what is media in Ghana? Do you call banal and amateurish journalism media excellence? Nigeria and Ghana are not on the same frequency...you should know that... It it were Kenya, Egypt or South Africa...may be we would have taken notice but Ghana which can barely outnumber Lagos State...no way! 5 Likes |

chrisagyei: The bottom line is he was sacked and he received allowances or salaries or whatever adjective you deem appropriate,it's less of my concern.Nobody can destroy the image of Ghana because they have personal issues with us.The man even went on to degrade Dr.Kwame Nkrumah our founder. He's an enemy of the state and he's currently under investigation because he might have started carrying out any of his threats and said so we currently can't let him go.He has been granted bail so he's currently not under arrest buh he can't leave the country now. After everything if he's innocent of any action,he will be deported buh if he started anything, the laws will deal with him. The problem with Ghana is that you guys are suffering from small country complex else you would not have overreacted over a fairly normal empty threat... 3 Likes |

chrisagyei: am a Ghanaian and have been following your discussions.Nigeria is a nice country so is Ghana. The prof. was defending his country buh he forgot he went too far.Why do you say you will destroy the image of Ghana when you currently work in Ghana and take our salary. Why do you say it pains you to see Nigerians pay 10,000 dollars as fees in Ghana whilst they refuse to pay 50,000 naira as fees in Nigeria buh you lecture in these same Ghanaian universities as a Nigerian taking dollars as salaries and fat allowances hence jumping from one university to another since 2011 in Ghana. And he says Ghanaian certificates are rubbish and 20% comparable to Nigerian certificates. And when your university finds out this you expect them to say Thank you. When Ghanaian authorities find out you expect them to say Congratulations. He was sacked, arrested and charged for inciting violence and Ghanaians hospitality should not be undervalued What are you talking about? The prof is 100% right. You small neighbours are taking Nigeria's accommodating/cosmopolitan disposition for granted... How dare Ghanaians disparage Nigeria when they are quite aware that Nigeria can reasonably do without Ghana while the reverse is not necessarily the case? If for example, Nigerians schooling in Ghana were to withdraw their patronage from the educational system in Ghana, will it not have a seismic effect or send shock waves to Ghana? Why cant you muster the courage to punish offenders without dragging the name of Nigeria to the mud? Some day the leadership in Nigeria will get it right and send a resounding signal to the small countries who relish casting aspersions on Africa's most important nation... 4 Likes |

No sensible country in the world will let a college professor suffer such indignities because he tried to defend his country’s reputation. We are in it together. This funny APC government will let this affront slide and cower in cowardice... Try pulling this stunt with the national of a serious country and all hell would have broken loose by now... |

Look it is because of the soft hand they are using for Nigerians matters that gave some Nigerians the Audacity to commit crimes in Ghana.
If Ghana is more harsh and brutal to Nigerians, any Nigerians in Ghana will think twice before committing crimes.
If you don't like your treatment in the country, stay away from their country, it is not by force
You are not making any sense... When did Nigerians support their nationals going to Ghana or any other country to commit crime? The last time I checked, Ghana is a country which should have law enforcement potent/effective enough to apprehend and punish criminals... Why take the lazy route of tarring all Nigerians with brush of criminality via an ignorant media? We have possibly over 500,000 Ghanaians in Nigeria...Unless they tell you, you wouldnt know they are foreigners because of how the system in Nigeria accommodates and integrates everyone... Why are Ghanaians eternally envious of Nigerians? The envy is becoming sickening... 6 Likes |

You can see how low we have descended...
Nobody respects Nigeria again...Imagine ordinary Ghana!
If Ghana had respect for Nigeria, could this issue not been handled with some diplomatic finesse instead of sacking the don?
If countries begin to sack foreign nationals who criticize them, how many people will still live overseas?
Africa is just pathetically amusing... 3 Likes |

PrinceOgun: ....Physical shops are no longer a feasible and reasonable way of marketing goods in Nigeria, its Online Business , that make all the money this days , When I mean online I mean Websites, make use of the social groups at your disposal , I remember when I had an IT shop selling gadgets and smartwatches in Opebi my business packed up within a year, I was downcasted a bit then I thought of the enormous potential of Nigeria's population , I mean 60% percent of Nigerians now browse the internet that's like 17 billion people easily, I started with paying some admins on Facebook with large groups so I can post my merchandize after a month I made over 200% profit , then I invested , I levereged on my Web design and IT skills so i created a top notch E-Commerce website like jumia and also bought 5 large Facebook groups of my own , now all my selling is done on those groups with ease of mind and major profits all round and I even rent out advertisement spaces to upcoming marketers and they too have been thanking me that they have never had it so good!
Move your business online while you still can ..... You meant to write "brick and mortar shops", abi? |

My man, you truly supported APC and buhari and it's unfortunate how it all panned out but that's politics.
Personally, I'm even tired of the attention sef. Let the Igbo play their game and get a VP to hausa in 2023, it's not a problem. In 1960, Igbo was governor general and Senate president. Northerner was prime Minister, Yoruba didn't stop eating Amala.
In 1979, Igbo was VP and speaker. Calabar was Senate president, Yoruba didn't stop eating gbegiri.
By all means arrange VP for yourselves in 2023, I won't complain. There are about 300 tribes in Nigeria. All of them deserve a chance One of the rare moments you have made sense and articulated coherence... |

You forgot South west already enjoyed an interrupted 8 years at the presidency? As thoughtless as you are, you forgot that politics is a continuum. Blacks were treated as sub-humans in America less than 50 years ago yet Barack Obama became president against all odds. In your warped estimation/imagination, getting a leadership position in the legislature would solve all the problems of the Igbos....as if they have not been occupying such positions in the recent past with close to zero impact. The Igbos are playing their best politics at the moment....I dont expect cheap hacks and simple-minded elements like you to cotton on to that... 1 Like |

SMART MAN. Wanting to fool Ndigbo into making that mistake. Running against a ruling party, so state power can be used to subvert the outcome of that election. NO WAY.
If a Yorubaman emerges as the APC candidate, Igbos should go for a northern candidate in PDP. That is the smartest way of playing this cat and mouse game. Remember that if a Yorubaman wins the presidency in 2023, then Igbos will be frozen out of the presidency for 16 good years. And we already know how APC rigged Atiku out, and you can bet your last dollar that Yorubas will use APC's incumbency to rig out any Igbo PDP candidate, and if this happens, northerners will not be willing to stick out their political necks for Ndigbo and insist that the Igboman should claim his mandate
If APC does not see it fit to choose an Igbo candidate, Igbos should be smart, and choose a northern candidate for PDP. Possibly choose Atiku or Tambuwal or Kwakwanso Smart thinking... The naivety of some of these Yorubas is quite unbelievable! The north will never allow the Yoruba win the presidency in 2023. The are adroit when it comes to mastery of political permutations. They know that ceding power to the South West who have had their turn in 1999 to 2017 will jeopardize their chance of reclaiming power after say 8 years. They would not do that for 1,000 Tinubus. Most of people from the South West conflate Buhari's ephemeral popularity with the unchangeable monolith which the north typify. Buhari will exit the scene eventually...
