Banks should be merged into a single institution and Nationalized. The Central Banks need to be the sole existing banks and be headed by elected officers who are answerable to the general populace and not to a board of shareholders or politicians order than special committees drafted from Congress. This new Central Bank will lend at set low rates and should operate under the same principle as co-operatives. The Govt should use this Banks only and only have a fixed percentage of govt earnings in FOREX held physically within the Bank vaults. Other investments like precious metals should also be used to buffer the currency. We also need to get rid of the Stock and commodity markets as these institutions are nothing more than speculative gambling dens. Pension, Housing and Health allowance will be managed and saved with this Bank which in return will add liquidity to the bank and made available as personal or commercial loans. Personal consumer loans should be higher than Commercial loans unless for Housing/Mortgage financing. Tax collection will be less cumbersome as all employers will be mandated to pay salaries only by means of bank accounts. This bank will also go along way in reducing corruption within our polity. Huge Taxes would await capital flight. Banks cannot and should not be allowed to operate as private profit ventures but should be as a general money pot. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHVgRgYdCsQ World Bank whistleblower Karen Hudes says this is not a fight about money, but survival of the planet. "We're dealing with whether we can continue as humanity and have an earth or whether we blow ourselves up. . . . whether we love each other enough to save the world, or we all go to hell in a hand basket," says Hudes. Join Greg Hunter as he goes One-on-One with World Bank Whistle Blower Karen Hudes. She also exposes the fallacy of the power of POTUS - "...Obama is just an actor. He is acting a script and does what he is told to do" |
Any lie no matter how white will not fly with me. I was raised by my parents not to lie and not to accept one especially by some one I am dating. P.S.: Don't believe that nonsense about love equates to trust. Love comes easy, trust on the other hand needs to be earned. |

[size=18pt]"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. The eagerly anticipated comet could be 15 times brighter than the moon, with a massive tail, making it visible even in broad daylight. A new image of the sun-bound Comet shows that it is still in one piece, despite fears from experts that its icy nucleus might disintegrate as the sun warms it. Some astronomers had predicted that Comet ISON could break apart before November 28 when it is predicted to travel just 730,000 miles from the surface of the sun. In July, experts had claimed that ISON was fizzling out and astronomer Ignacio Ferrin, of the University of Antioquia in Colombia, said: 'The future of comet ISON does not look bright, But Nasa's Hubble Space Telescope has taken the image that will make sky watchers hopeful for a sighting of a lifetime, as ISON has been decribed as the 'comet of the century'. Comet ISON is roughly heading towards the centre of our Solar System. It will pass within one million miles of the Sun’s surface on 28th November. At the time of discovery in September 2012, ISON was over 584 million miles from the Sun. Its average speed throughout July was 55,405mph. It will continue to accelerate steadily until November when it will whip around our Sun at an astonishing 425,000mph. Early data analysis suggests Comet ISON’s size to be around three miles in diameter. If ISON doesn’t fizzle out, you can expect to see the comet without specilaist equipment anywhere between the middle of November until the middle of January 2014.

Smooyis: Is it really that Nigeria is broke and we do notFG is taking too much responsibilities and doing too little. Which University is managed by the U.S. govt.? Only in Nigeria, do we have private profit making universities usually owned by a single individual. Only in Nigeria are lecturers part of the Civil Service. Government needs to wash it's hands off so many responsibilities that were carved out by previous paternalistic Military administrations. |
sweetestomo: I met this guy a year ago. We love each other so much, he travelled out a month ago and promised I ll join him a year after cos he had a permanent stay. I introduced him to my dad before he travelled but I never met he's family. After he travelled out I started disturbing him that I want to meet any member of he's family. That's was wen he told me that he's a muslim and I am from a strong xtian background I never want to marry a muslim neither ll my dad approve it. He told me that I can go on with my religion but our kids won't. This is not the kind of life I want. And the way I see things its going to get worst than this cos of his family. I love him so much but d fact that he lied to me about his religion right from time and what he has to say about it is dat he wants me by all means and he didn't want religion to be a barrier. Am so confused

olu_kenzo :Stopped at the bolded. Government this, Government that. Land is cheap, Labour is inexpensive and the markets are every where. What's stopping Nigeria entrepreneurs and un-employed graduates from going into Agriculture? |
ckkris: Why blame Obama for the debts the Republicans piled up since 1970s, even though President Clinton did so well to balance the budget. You don't know how these Republicans just give defence contracts to themselves, and build bridges to nowhere.Obama's band-aid approach to fix the economy only caused more bleeding |

China needs America more than America needs China and also China needs the world more than the world needs China. China is not innovative in technology. That is why Silicon valley is not prepared to move to China. At best the Chinese and Asians in general when compared to the West are mere problem solvers. In mathematics, problem solvers are not valued as much as problem creators since all problems will sooner or later be solved. Asian economies, by utilizing cheap labor and lax environmental regulations and zero patent or copyright infringement laws were able to provide cheap goods. China has several prison labor camps dedicated to supporting their industries. China on several fronts cannot lead the world right now. China's ruling class have little or no respect for their own citizens human rights. On what grounds will they be able to lead the world? At least the American govt guarantees human rights for her citizens. It is like how some people in Nigeria agitate for a northerner as President when the northern elites have not in any way empowered their own people how then can they assuage a southerner that they will bring out meaningful development to the south. Charity begins at home. For China to lead the world she must prove that by first making her Citizens empowered and free. |
Timehin: When and if the new world order breaks in our time it will definitely be from regions that aint already 'saturated' nor reach its peak.China is a step ahead on this through their aggressive investment drive in Africa. The U.S. is bloated, Europe is dead, Middle East is dangerous and volatile, Asia is about set to follow Japan down to zero growth status but Africa is still prime and pioneer territory when it comes to investors. Let me give you an example of how over-development can lead to saturation or zero growth. Take the GSM telecom sector; the U.S. and European operators took years to have subscriber base numbers that Nigerian Operators achieved in less than 5yrs. If you factor Market size and population, the Nigerian GSM operators were more successful in rolling out this technology than their western counterparts and this was as a result of lack of a viable pre-existing telecom solution prior to the advent of GSM technology. Africa is more positioned to deploy better and modern technology. There is also Energy and Natural Resources and that China needs desperately. Take for example Congo DRC - estimated to be the richest Country on the Planet in terms of resources. Congo is estimated to posses over 400 Trillion dollars worth of Mineral deposits. Angola has more oil than Nigeria and there are speculations that put the total oil deposits within Angola more than that of Russia and the Middle-East combined. The country is vastly underpopulated. Also, China can't feed themselves and only Africa can solve global hunger if Agriculture is harnessed to it's fullest capacity. Most of China's vast territory is waste land from the Gobi Deserts to the vast Siberian waste lands bordering China's northern border with Russia. Considering global warming with antecedent adverse weather such as flash floods plus serious ecological degradation by the unregulated heavy industries coupled with Chinese huge and growing population, local Agriculture cannot be expected to sustain China. China imports staple foods like wheat and rice from the U.S. China getting richer is also affecting both local and global food prices by the day due to an emerging and booming middle class . Rich people eat good. Prior to emerging as a World Economic force, the average Chinese ate pork on average once a year and if you factor that it takes approximately 20kg of vegetable to produce 1kg of pork meat (a Chinese delicacy), more land and resource will be required to feed China now and the future. Africa, remains the only alternative for China. It is estimated that South Sudan can feed the world. So, under-development now is not necessary a bad thing as this has made Africa the true last Frontier! |
