Family / Re: What Will You Do If You Have My Kind Of Parents? by magicminister: 10:00pm On Sep 19, 2020
SecretSpy666:
Greetings Nairalanders,
I want to seek for you peoples opinions regarding my family challenges.

I'm from a broken home. My parents divorced when I was a child of two years. I'm the only child from their union. My father and mother abandoned me and remarried to other spouse each. I passed through hell growing up with relatives who insulted me with all kinds of names and I was treated like a slave to their own children.

Because of public outcry about my dehumanizing treatment, my father came to village and took me to the city. It was from fry pan to fire experience as my father's new wife was maltreating me. At a point, my father asked me to leave his house that since my arrival, he don't have peace with his wife.

I packed to the house of a relative and work in a block industry to help myself. Most times, I slept in a CAC church close to the relative house as the two-room apartment is not enough for his family. My mother never care if I was alive. She never call me nor reply to letter I sent through someone to her. I continued working in the block industry and started a part time programme. I completed the part time programme and did my NYSC and master degree. I got a job with University of Ado Ekiti with the help of a course mate, managing myself now and surprisingly my mother and father started calling me often.

Both of them have 6 children each with their respective second spouse. Mother want his son to come and live with me, I refused and my father too have been requesting for financial assistance which I also refused. I don't want to have anything to do with both of them. My father's daughter recently called me to help her with school fees, I bluntly told her to ask her mother what she did to me and caught the call. Since then, she never call.

I'm alone and have just two friends. I don't have family. All of them calling now are just looking for what to get from me, not that they care about me. My mother never call me once to ask about my welfare even when I sent my phone number to her through her relative. I wrote WAEC, completed degree course before she started calling me and it is only to request for one thing or other. I'm planning to get married without telling them and build a separate family.

Kids, this is how you stay perpetually poor.
This man just got a job at a university and probably making less than 200k a month but somehow, rather than thinking of how to elevate his finances, he is entertaining calls from Beggars!!!

One thing I can tell you here that most people wouldn’t be able to tell you on NL because they haven’t attained financial success yet is that your true friends and “family” will never expect a handout from you. They will bring opportunities to you. Don’t forget those types of people. The only question you should be asking is how you will reward your friend for helping you find the job...... my recommendation is you buy him a nice wristwatch and thank you card. Never forget he was the one that even put you in a position for leeches you wanna leech!

Make no mistake, being attractive to leeches does not mean you are successful. It simply means that the leech has seen you as a potential meal ticket and nothing else.

Be guided!!

Dunlop & Ludo , poverty is a vagabond !!

Do you think it’s a coincidence?
They know that poverty, religion and ethnic division are very power tools to subdue the people perpetually.

- poverty makes the people seek for any handout no matter where it comes from. Poverty is the reason why they have endless supply of thugs willing to kill for them.

- religion is used to make the people subservient. Rather than fight for their rights, they fight for God and pray for their rights

- ethic division is the reason why they can commit any crime and get away with it. And the people will say “After all, he’s our brother and other people do not
Hold their kinsmen accountable”. That is why people protested for Ibori and mains despite their incredible levels of corruption. Nigerians are asleep and choose not to wake up.

Education does not equate to money
It is what you are able to do with it.
Zuckerberg just graduated from Harvard after many years of dropping out. Bill Gate is a drop out yet smarter and more intelligent than many Computer Science professor.

Stop deluding yourself bro. The standard of education those “drop out” before they even dropped out is better than everything in Nigeria put together and multiplied by 100. They already had traction on what they were working on before dropping out. Facebook was already big before he dropped out because school became a distraction. Same with Bill Gates,Microsoft’s was already huge before he dropped out to focus on the business.

Here in Nigeria, they keep hammering that they have dripped out without telling you that they were already gaining insane traction before dropping out. Mumu people will then drop out without any business that’s growing or any real plan except being a musician. Unfortunately, 9.9/10 do not succeed!

Just like my friend from back then in school. He signed his first mumu record deal and dropped out against my advise. Even though I didn’t use my degree, the money I saved up to go into business was from a regular 9-5 job... today, I’m humbly approaching my first billion and he’s still doing yo yo yo in studio.

Crime / Re: Naval Officer Fights With Lagos Task Force Over BRT Lane (video) by magicminister: 3:28pm On Sep 17, 2020
myBraine:
Imagine?

Prior to me watching the YouTube video above, I initially thought that the narval officer was guilty of the allegation issued against him but after perusing the video content, it came to my realization that the task officers were suffering from intellectual superiority.

Knowing fully well that the officer was a loner as at the time of the incident, they preyed on him by taking advantage of that and exploited him in groups.

He is a military man for crying out loud. Maneuvering his way through BRT lane shouldn't be the topic of discussion. Lagos roads are usually busy and this man has to reach his destination on time (mostly for the sake of bloody civilians).

For those of us that has been privileged to travel by air before, we violently and ridiculously trespassed international airspace just to reach our desired countries on time. Now, imagine if those countries we trespassed on began firing us missiles from their military airbase, how many of us will still be alive today?

I am standing with this Naval officer, not because I am a military or a paramilitary man but solely because I am a man with an eccentric mindset and a functioning brain.

I d disagree with your reasoning sha!
Anyway, a Naval officer operating in civilian environment should abide by civilian rules. The only place you get authority na for your barracks and not outside. The problem is that these men of armed security groups tend to want to illegally exercise their hitherto legal authority in a civilian environment through intimidation.

Damn!, it seems they all want the fast fame

Nigerian artists do not care about masters or contract, what they care about is present fame and balling..so sad

To be honest, I don’t really blame them! Websites like Not just ok and other piracy websites have done everything to ensure the average nigerian artiste will not live off their income. The government that should act as a fair regulator have chosen to ignore this menance

When 9icr confronted Linda and other bloggers and told them to stop posting his music, people laughed at him but 9ice knows it’s better to be broke than have your items selling for free..

So, Nigerian artistes need to make more money and the only way is to sign those deals that would expose them to foreign market and signing incredibly sub par deals!

Jesus!

Nigerians are ignorant as fuccck!

The comments on the first page is an evidence of that!
Kanye is fighting a very very powerful battle and for long, record labels have fleeced artistes and their generations from owning their art.

That is why young artistes need experienced managers.
For example, Peruzzi is literally a slave. He owns absolutely nothing but the paltry sum they give him after shows. I could go into more details but make we leave matter for Mathias!

Young artistes, I know you wanna blow but don’t be stupid!!! Get a real solid team and you’ll blow and feed your generations unborn!

These greedy people have now set their sights on Africa but out guys are so eager to go global that they’ll trade future income for current jaye jaye..

Even if you must sign off the rights to your image, likeness and masters recordings, ensure that the contract has a clause mandating a payout of Atleast 60% to your estate. Then all your family and loved ones to your estate.

For home studio voice recording, I recommend using the a dynamic microphone e.. smb70 as a dynamic microphone is best for an untreated room and will cut out those low frequency disturbances of unwanted noises.

It’s all about practicality and the one that you’re most comfortable with.
I’ve used Cubase, pro-tools, FL studio, Logic Pro and my all time fav is FL studio followed really closely by Cubase.

The quality of your mixing and mastering depends on your sound card and studio monitors and the tools used to fine tune your raw sounds.

In 2020, when most countries have moved past electricity challenges, Nigeria and a handful of other countries are unable to provide her citizens 24/7 steady electricity. This is foul and this alone should make the people want to protest until something changes but the poor masses have been beaten to submission. They’ve become docile and malleable and only dance to the tune of whom they perceive to wield wealth whilst despising other poor people like them.

If by now you dont recognise that the girl you quoted above was SATANICALLY MANIPULATING YOU, then l can understand why your brain functions in only one direction!
That "No is NO", is the first thing she should have told you the moment you start trying to remove your Pant or she decides to remove her own Pant.
The problem with all you these Indomie Generation of men is that "You dont realize when you are being manipulated and set-up for slaughter".
undecided undecided grin grin

I dont support Rape in the remotest form because l think it is "Weak Men who lack self confidence" that engage is such acts, Women BEG ME to Sleep with them and l pick and chose based on my standards!

BTW, when it comes to sex, "No does not always mean NO"
Example is when you are digging a lady and she is shouting "You will kill me today, You are killing me Oooo"!
You want to stand-up or ease-up the Pressure (out of sypmpathy) but she keeps drawing you closer and deeper inside her!
Which kain of "No means No" be that?
shocked shocked grin grin

But if you tell a Lady you WANT TO have Sex with her and she says "NO", you MUST respect that "NO" and takeit to means "No".
Just leave her immediately and walk away, even when some of them try to call you back, indicating that such ladies are just trying to use that sexual desire to manipulate you. Walk Away, Sex is not food.

We need to put RAPE into CONTEXT as stop acting like Remote Controlled Zombies.

The word rape has already been contextualized and I’d you still don’t get it; it is having sex with someone without their consent. This also includes but not limited to coercion, threats, force, etc.

Let’s stop defending the indefensible act!

To that I say....

If you knowingly go to a high crime-laden area dripping in diamonds and gold apparel, then you're partly responsible for any criminal attack...

As much as my sympathy goes to the victims of crime, it is alarming, the levels of irresponsibility brimming on stuuuupidity exhibited by people, who display victim mentality after spinning the story on its head.

Caveat... I accept that there will cases where there was a lack of knowledge with people placing themselves inadvertently in harm's way.. In addition, I condemn robustly pedophillic rape..a very real scourge in this society.
.

My uncle was kidnapped from his farm in the village.
My friend was kidnapped on his way driving to Lagos... my friends dad was kidnapped from his house.

Out of those 3 people, only my uncle returned home.
It is never the victims fault for being a victim. There is no justification on God’s earth to rape, coerce or force a woman for sex. There’s no reason to kidnap or kill or rob... please let’s learn to stand for what is right.

The only reason that port Harcourt serial killer was able to get away with murdering women for so long was because people like you blamed the victims and called them “stay queens”. Often saying things like “slay queen got slayed”. That man ended the lives of so many women after raping and torturing them and most people blamed the victims.

When I was discussing it with my then girlfriend, her comment was, “what did they go to look for in hotel”.
That comment was a representation of the average Nigerian mindset.

I’m just grateful I’ve been liberated from mental oppression because I legit used to think like those people in my teenage years but I was able to start seeing the light when I approached my 20s and the older I get, the wiser and more liberated I become.

My goal is to help others see the light I found!

What is your definition of modesty? I agree.

The Bible has guidelines for engaging with political authorities. Men like Adeboye are the reason Nigeria has not disintegrated. You don't have to believe this.

Oga, Jesus would have rode on any kind of Car of his choice when he was alive. Dont associste Jesus with Poverty ok. Christianity isnt a criteria for poverty. It pays to serve God; You should pls not that. Know the story b4 criticising the glory! Jesus entered Jerusalem riding a donkey. In his days, it was the poor that use donkeys as means of transportation while the rich used horses and chariots.

It is rather sad that most Nigerians pastors are materialistics and do not follow the footsteps of Jesus. I don't need the help of any pastor to serve my God. I would rather give money to the poor and less privileged than pay tithes to these Pharisees called pastors.

No matter how you look at it, Our pastors are not modest with their superstar lifestyle! I have no problem with how they live since it doesn’t affect me but let’s call a spade a spade okay.
Our pastors are not in anyway, shape or form emulating the ways of Christ when it comes to material possessions. They live lavishly and do not nearly enough empower the people to liberate themselves.

If CAN uses its power to organize a peaceful one million man protest against the bad leadership and suffering we have in Nigeria and all the big brand pastors are on board, the leaders will panic becaus for once, they’ll see a United and Unafraid Nigeria.

But the pastors will rather preach subservience while frolicking with the political elites and simultaneously stuffing their pockets with offerings from the poor masses.
