I have been trying to explain this for quite some time, God is in all of our hearts anyways!! We do not need a pastor, a preacher or anyone else to tell us or define how to please God. It is not up to man to determine, for man is not God!! Alot of what is written in the Bible is written figuratively but taken literally anyways, so misinterpretations abound. Then, alot of it is contradictory and many meanings have been changed over the ages. God speaks to each and everyone independently, and only a fool takes everything that is taught to them as absolute truth. Simply put, religion is business. It is designed for control of land and resources. So, no it is not suprising that many people have developed their own individual relationships with God. I believe that this is how it should be anyways. What works for one may not work for another, so you have to always trust your concious (voice of God). |
eminemkayc:Sorry, but Eminem sucks. Canibus would squash Em in an instant. |

Absolutely not, |

God |
By the way, what is it that causes you to argue so much?? What matters are serious enough to even cause such bickering?? ![]() |
Sounds like the enemy. Satan uses those closest to us to cause sorrow and strife. This is an example of that. God is not the author of confusion. You seem very confused and perplexed, so that should be an omen for you to get out as soon as you can. Only deal with positivity. Leave behind all the negative vibes. You will be healthier, happier, and I'm sure that you'll find someone 300% better than the girl you are with. Good luck! Peace and Love, Magz |
nellydamz:Sorry, wasn't trying to be rude at all! Honest, yes. Not rude. I was just telling you my take on the matter. I mean, does he love you? If he does, then there should be no question at all, for when someone is truly in love it is definate and sure. So, he should be ready to marry. But, if he loves you, but is not ready to make the commitment, then he is a fool because a man who is in love does not let anything happen that may cause him to lose his lady. Disregard me if you want, I was only trying to help (which is what you asked for anyways). Peace and Love, Magz ![]() |
I don't lack values and culture. So stfu and do not speak for what you do not know. Stupid sterotypical shit. That's like saying: All Nigerians are poor, have AIDS, and are con-men. w t f?? ![]() |
LOL, Okay?? ![]() Orikinla: |
Rasta is Love. Rasta is creation. Rasta is individual, inside of me and you too. Rasta teaching is that tolerance, peace and respect for nature and fellow man are important. We believe in total non-violence, non-hate, and in wisdom for ourselves and for the youth. We are natural and charitable to the poor. We do not worship idols or material things. We do not cut our hair or drink alcohol, nor kill animals for the sake of eating them. We respect the ways of others, and don't force our ideas on others. Most importantly, Rastafari teaches that God is internal, that He dwells within our hearts and that we have our own direct relationship with God, not dependent on others but only Jah and ourselves. We believe in using our own wisdom and logic, and not being mislead by any type of wickedness. We do not believe in fornication, things that symbolize violence or wickedness, or celebrating pagan holidays. Many Rastas also consider Halie Selassie I of Ethiopia to be a prophet in the same way that Christians consider Jesus Christ. However, I do not. Selassie himself was a Christian and encouraged his followers to become well versed in the Bible. Also, many Rastas say that it is sacrilege to not smoke chalice. Logic proves this false in my opinion. It does have healing powers, but you cannot be a glutton over anything. Ganja is a gift of God, but I do not take even that for granted. In summary, Rastafari is in your heart, so it will vary wildly depending on who you are or who you ask. But the bottom line is, God is Love. God is creator of all, and that is it. We give our lives to God and God only, and this is it. You know? Beauty, Peace, Strength, Knowledge, all that is good is Jah, and we seek Jah in all that we do. |
It says in the Bible that: Jesus had skin the color of bronze, and hair like wool. No white man has features like that. ![]() Also, he came from Bethlehem (Palestine), which is in the Middle East. People who originate in the Middle East have brown-colored skin, not white. And, you should also note that these are mostly desert lands that get alot of sun. The more sun you get, the more melanin your skin produces. This is why Africans are Black and Northern Europeans are White. |
Shaz:I don't believe in the Trinity. I believe only in God Almighty. God spake through his commandment: Thou shall put no other "god" before me. I also do not believe this: "I am the way,the truth and the life,no one can come to the father, except through me"^^This was never spoken by God. I know, because these words defy and contradict the very nature of our All-powerful and All-loving God. God is not prejudiced. He does not reject his people, whom he loves, because of discrepancies created by man-made religions. Bear in mind that God is creator of man, but man is the creator of religion. Regardless of what road we take to the Lord or how we communicate with him, he loves and cares for us all equally. There is no right or wrong way to express your Love for Him. We must always try to depend on our direct relationship with God, instead of worrying about another man's interpretations. There are no rules as to who can worship in what way and who cannot. It is not even within the scope of human ability to judge such matters. |
Your boyfriend is either a fool, or he is not the one for you. If he is so spiritual, and if he truly loves you, he will propose to you as soon as possible, marry you, and satisfy you in every way that a man can satisfy a woman. No guy should be so cold and so judgemental. We are only humans, you know? |

What on earth will you gain from fooling around with a "Black American" guy before you settle down? You will only be risking your life if you do not end up in jail first. The kind of lifestyle most get into will only send bad news to your village in "Africa" to quote my sistaas and brodaas from over here. Okay, even if you give one of them a chance, due to the fragmented family set up most come from. . .you will definitely invite trouble from one of their distant relatives in form of a burglar or basement pharmarcist. . . unless you are dealing with the Barrack Obama kind. . . .and I do not need to tell you that only the Michelles Obama of this world can command the respect and attention of those. Are you really this fucking stupid? Or are you just "racist"?? Either way, I am thoroughly disgusted by your comment. Furthermore, I hope that you go back home if this is how you really feel about our people. Dumb fool. |
I am to sorry but I can't marry a AA guy not at this time of my life when am trying to settle down by starting a family, I need good, loving, caring, trusthworthy, respectful and handworking husband, someone that can offer me a stable house and family, a father to my children, someone that understand the meaning of family, that knows the value and moral of my culture. You could not have made a more bullshit statement!! I am so offended by this that it isn't even funny, Like, you've ruined my whole day with your untrue, very biased stereotype!! I am Igbo and Native American Indian (Blackfoot tribe). I am: 1)Good 2)Loving 3)Caring 4)Trustworthy 5)Respectful 6)Hardworking So how can you say that Black Males in the states do not pocess these qualities? How the Bleep could you genaralize so much, when this country is beyond huge!! Nigeria is about the size of Texas (only one state out of 50), and the entire Naija population could fit inside of New York City alone. So how can you even speak for a small sample?? There are over 40 million Black people in the U.S.; And we are all ignorant and lack family values Bullshit!! I have a 5 year old son, and I take care of ALL of his needs, as I also do for my little sister. I go to school fulltime, and I work full-time. Not to mention, I am very educated on our culture, so don't be prejudiced / racist against me for no reason. And for your stupidity, I am not rude. I do not lack goals. I do not lack morals. I study the ways of great men such as Malcolm X, Frederick Douglass, Huey P Newton, Alex Haley, Richard Wright, Sam Cooke, etc and implement their ways into my own life, I epitomize greatness. dammit, ![]() |
This list is some white people shit. Don't call these women's secrets, call them white women's secrets |
Yo Orikinla, Don't let her slip by, homeboy. ![]() |
Ournaija:It's LOVE. When one is falling in Love, he does shit like this. The girl occupies your mind so much, that you just want to tell the whole world how beautiful this person is, and how much you enjoy being with them. It is a very startling and indescribable feeling. I know how it feels yo, |
Ok Thanks anyways ![]() |
Yes you can. I am. There is only one God anyways. And, the true meaning of "Christian" is not supposed to be "Christ-worshipper", but "Christ-like". Anyone can be Christ-like, including servants of Allah (God). rubi:You are kinda wrong here. Understand me: There is only one God! Muslims may call him Allah, Rastafarians may call him Jah, and Chrsitians may call him Jehovah, but we all know and worship the one and true God and Creator of the Universe. I am a Rasta. We are Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, etc, Rasta teaches that God is Universal, and he comes to us in many ways. Jah speaks every language and dwells within the hearts of all. There is no such thing as "two masters". |
Does anyone know if it is possible to come from an American college, and take some classes at University of Nigeria? I want to come to Nigeria this upcoming Fall, but I want to study while I do so. Any advice? Thanks in advance! Peace and Love, Magz |
Wow, what an excellent post. I am still learning these principles myself. |
Bobbyaf:No offense, but this does not make any sense at all. I was raised as a Baptist Christian, and this contradictory stuff here is the exact reason that I no longer identify with the Christian faith. You say, in essence, that there are two Gods: One, the divine creator of Heaven, Earth and everything within, and the second a man who came directly from the Creator, is the Creator, but yet is not the creator. I know in my heart that this is not right. |
manmustwac:The proof is in the existence of Earth itself. Earth had to come from somewhere, Some people call God "The Big Bang Theory". These ideas are all right. God is creation. |
Bobbyaf:Very true indeed |
Graxie:This is how people typically respond to these questions, but I have big problems with your answers: First of all, in the Bible wasn't one of God's commandments: "Thou shall put no other god before me"? God is the creator of the universe and all within it. No man was capable of this. How could Jesus be God, if the Universe was already in existence before Jesus ever came about? The world was already here. Humanity was already here. How then, could Jesus be the creator? If Jesus is God, why was he not immortal. How were humans able to crucify him? Christians teach that anyone who does not worship and praise Jesus Christ will be sentenced to eternal fire and damnation. However, this totally contradicts the loving nature and mericful tendencies of our Father. Why would the all-knowing, all-powerful and all-loving God destroy his people and subject them to supreme enending torture because of ignorance or because of their upbringing? This makes no sense whatsoever. You say that praying to an idol is wrong. I think that praying to Jesus is the same as praying to an idol. It is as if you are belittling the one and true God. The one true "Lord" of all "lords". God cannot be seen with the physical eye. We cannot put a face to him, or draw him, or explain him. We did not create God, he created us. So to pray to Christ, in my opinion is worshipping an idol; Now I do know that Christ existed, and I do live Christ-like (the actual meaning of the word Christian anyways), But I will not ever pray to any man, rather it be Christ, Selassie or anyone else. To do so is a direct and odvious sin. It clearly says so right in the Bible!! |
Riskie:Excellent post. These are exactly the reasons that I've never allowed myself to be brainwashed into being a "Christian". |
bababuff:Eri was a people, not a person. You have to understand that in the Bible, many things are written in a figurative manner that we often take literally. Names frequently are not the actual names of people, but are whole towns, tribes kingdoms or other regions. For instance: what we know as "Adam and Eve" really means "Man and Life". Adam was an ancient Hebrew term meaning Man and Eve was a term that means Life. But we read it and think that these are literally the first two people on Earth. Not so. How do you think that "people" in the Bible lived for hundreds or even thoudands of years? The answer is that these were not single "people" at all, but were entire tribes of people who lived together. b t w though, that date "2345 b.c" is odviously very incorrect. It should read something else, |
