1wolex85: First of all, don't eva compare lagos tolls to what fg is planning. A private company expanded the road and ALTERNATIVE route was provided (tho I dnt think dat one alternate route is sufficient). They are abt to start collecting toll on anoda part of the same expressway,do u know y dey are just startin? They were puttin anoda alternative route in place. Take lagos-ib expressway for instance, d govt just wnts to introduce tolls witout 1st fixing the road thru a private firm (gej always puts d cart b4 d horse).
Secondly, stop lying to prove ur point, wen did lastma start beating pple? D most dey can do is to impound ur car and extort money from u unjustly. I'll come to the subsidy issue when I av time

by Emmanuel Obe, Awka

A team of investment consultants from the United States has proposed to build a world-class hospital in Anambra State.

The team, which visited Governor Peter Obi in Awka on Monday, said the hospital, when completed, would employ more than 40 doctors and 1,000 nurses.

A member of the team, Dr. Maria Todd, said the hospital would also create opportunities for capacity development for other workers including technicians and engineers.

She explained that the hospital with advanced health facility could extend services to the West African sub-region, noting that the state had the potential to drive the process.

The traditional ruler of Ifite-Dunu, Igwe Emeka Ilouno, who is part of the team, said they wanted to key into the achievements recorded in the health sector by the Obi-led administration.

He noted that the group was responding to the governor's call to stakeholders to make the state attractive for investment.

Obi said with the right leadership, Nigeria could effectively harness its abundant potential to become a major player in world economy.

Establishing such world class hospital in the state, he said, was important to help achieve the Millennium Development Goals.

Ibrahim Adekunle, “Limousine Tricycle” was one of the five selected inventions on the BBC’s coverage of the Maker Faire Africa, an exhibition for inventors which took place in Lagos. The picture of a regular tricycle popularly called Keke Marwa, but stretched to contain more seats. It carries about 10-13 people. He calls it a “Limousine Tricycle” and said he built it after cutting a normal tricycle into two and adding more seats and parts in between.
very inspirational! Where there's no opportunity it's a man's duty to create it. I love seeing young Nigerians change their destiny through creativity, now he's a star and his product is bound to be successful!

Its important to remember im not asking about your 'place of origin', but instead the place where you reside now.
Keep negativity to a minimum, if there's nothing about life you like perhaps you're the problem, not your location.

I welcome it, though i predict a high tax burden on Imo state citizens to cover expenses on them and their guests.
It's good because Imo state needs to diversify if Owerri is to join the same league as Abuja, Port, Lagos, Calabar and even Enugu because more diversity makes more activity makes more wealth. We can't sustain as a net exporter of citizens anymore because our human capital will soon be depleted.
Why not bring the brains of the nation into Imo by making it more attractive to them?
I would like to hear some news about improving the quality of universities as opposed to more populist measures.

Okorocha slashes tuition fee for non-Imo students

Posted by: Okodili Ndidi Posted date: November 30, 2012

Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha yesterday announced a 50per cent reduction in the tuition fees of non-indigenes in state-owned tertiary institutions.

The governor said his administration would pay the balance as an extension of its free education programme.

Okorocha spoke in Owerri, the state capital, when the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and Student Union Governments (SUGs) of tertiary institutions in the state visited him at the Government House.

The gesture is for non-indigenes in Imo State University, Imo State Polytechnic and College of Health Sciences, Amaigbo, whose counterparts of Imo origin are enjoying free education.

Okorocha restated the commitment of his administration to making education free at all levels.

The governor urged his counterparts in other states to adopt similar measures to create opportunities for Nigerian students in other tertiary institutions to enjoy free education.

LMFAOO!!!!

It's funny because one of them (Cross Rivers) is reported to be significantly finer now than before due to a 'drastic weight loss'

I can't vote for a man with an ugly wife! I'm sorry! It goes to show i don't understand how that person thinks and thus don't trust them. I also can't vote for a polygamist because it shows your brain lives in the year 1587, and i can't vote for a governor with a dumb wife.

Men that seek wives that are 'better' than them are typically men of great ambition and intelligence, when their wife is independent and modern it shows that they're now preoccupied with control. Men with dumb wives are typically insecure and more concerned with controlling things than quality. It's just something I've noticed in life. Look at the governors with attractive or at least pleasant to look at wives

Fashola
Chime
Amaechi
Imoke
Amosun

Bauchi is fine, but being Yar Adua's daughter and the mans 4th wife, you can see he's a primitive fool and his marriage was more politics than anything.
Then look at the governors with ugly wives that are punishing their people because they have to knack human stock fish every night.

Rochas is probably just a chubby chaser, many man from Imo state simply like fat women, and her face is ok jare.
